  *Door chimes rang*

  "It's hot"

It gathered Mia's attention by the chatter of the people who have entered the convenience store. She was busy reading on her phone she's almost done and the noise somewhat irritated her. She stood up and stared to look at the group of teenagers that disturbed her peaceful reading.

  “Ooh! I want this"

  "Me too"

  "Let's have a feast!"

They are about to go to the counter to pay when somebody came and said "Terrence is at the lobby" all screaming and giddy the group of students dropped their goodies and ran outside to see the heartthrob.

"Story of my life" Mia just picked up everything and returned it to its places then went back to reading.

As soon as she yawned someone knocked on the counter and flick her in the forehead, she didn’t her the door chimes

“It is still early for you to be yawning” it’s Max, a so called friend of hers. “I slept late” she just chant and returned back into reading.

“Shouldn’t you be doing something else rather that reading that comics?”

“It’s a Manhwa you idiot! You shouldn’t under estimate the power of anime and manga/manhwa. So leave me at my peace and just do your business.”

Then she continued her reading and max just helped himself ring up his purchases

“Will you sign the contract?” Max asked out of nowhere.

  “Depends,” Mia just shrugged.

“They offered good money but I don’t like the commitments so maybe no.”

A recording company offered her a 7 digit contract just for her but it states a lot of deadlines. Mia always hate deadlines.

“You know if only I have half of your talent I would be rich. You shouldn’t be here. You should be in the studio doing what you are always good at.”

Here he goes again, Max always nags her whenever he’s around but she doesn’t mind at all.

“Nah. I’m all good. I would rather be here that working with people who think of themselves better than the person in charge. I just don’t get it I they know what to do then why the hell would they need to hire somebody to do the job? They should just do it themselves” she ranted. Well he started it.

“I understand your sentiments but you should know how to deal with them and let it be. You can’t live of out this job”

Then the door chimed once more indicating that somebody entered the store

“Welcome” she greeted the customer just to cut of Max out of his continuous nagging but it turns out it is the very person she doesn’t want to greet.

“Terrence! Man! Why are you here?” It’s Max’s groupmate, Terrence.

Mia wasn’t surprised on why on earth Terrence is here in front of her. Max’s here, she heard those teenager squeaks on top of their lungs that he’s somewhere. She can do her math.

“Sign the contract” Terrence stopped in front her. Towering over her.

“The more I wouldn’t,” she said without even glancing at him. She just continued on reading

Max stood in between the two of them.

  “Let’s go Terrence,” he said.

He knows it’s not the right time and place for this two to talk or have any kind of interaction.

“Stay out of this Max” Terrence is not having any of this bullshit anymore. It’s been 4 years. They should be able to handle this a professional.

“Let them be Max, they need to talk,” another member of their group spoke.

  The eldest of them, Ian.

  “Finish your issues will you?”

Mia just stood and went inside the staff room and gathered all of her stuff. She’s leaving again.

The door chimed again as someone entered again. This time is the owner of the store. At that very moment Mia just got out of the staff room and bid farewell to her boss.

“Boss, Just wire me my final salary,” and just went out without even looking back.

Terrence just lowered his head all pissed off. He wants this to end. He had regretting everything already. Every single day.

“Told yah. It will not work,“ Max just shrugged and went outside.

“Let’s go! We still have a schedule to go to” Ian had followed Max outside but Terrence is not bulging.

“Can I have your signature?” the owner of the store asked while handing a piece of paper and marker to him.

“My daughter is a big fan of yours,” further insisting the paper and marker.

He gave his signature “Can I ask you a favor? Can you give Mia’s contact details? I need them.”

The owner just gladly nodded and went into his office

Just standing where he is Terrence is in deep thought. Just where did they go wrong? 4 years have been so fast but he can clearly remember the pain of the look of her face.

“Here you go,” he reads the contents and said his gratitude to the owner and went out of the store

“Just wait you idiot,” Terrence muttered to himself. He’s not going to let Mia have her ways. He gave her 4 years and he’s tired of this waiting and chasing. He’s gonna handle this with his very own hands.
