"I already told you she's not going" Alice can hear someone say from the kitchen. She walks out of her room to be greeted by her brother, Grayson.

　　"Alice, tell mom I'm going to hang out with Chase" he says to her as he walks out the door. Alice roll her eyes and walk to the kitchen, when she reach the edge of the crooked wooden floor leading into the kitchen, she sees her mom and dad yelling at each other. They stop as they see Alice standing there.

　　"Mom, dad what's going on?" Alice studders, while grabbing milk from the fridge

　　"Nothing sweetie just your dad trying to get you to move in with him." She says sighing. Mr. Charles rolls his eyes and says, "Alice you want to live with me correct? Not this low life wom- girl, you call your mother." Alice stands still, staring at my father. She close my eyes and breath, and walks away back to her room with a glass of milk with out saying a single word.

　　"Alice come here" Her father calls from the kitchen. She walks out of her door, the floor creating a melody with each step she takes. She walks into the kitchen, Mr. Charles is standing there up against the countertop. Alice looks over to the living room where her mom is with Jet, her eyes are red, and puffy, it looks like she had been crying for hours. She had a few bruises on her arm, Alice looked away before she could cry. Mr. Charles pushes a piece of Alice's hair behind her ear.

　　"Alice, me and your mother have decided you will stay with me." Alice looks a bit shocked. She didn't want to stay with her father, she wanted to stay with her mother.

　　"Okay father, that's fine." Alice says looking to the floor. She can feel eyes on her so she looks at her mom. Mrs. Charles is looking at Alice in shock, with tears filling up in her beautiful emerald green eyes.

　　"Good now Alice go get packed were leaving here soon." Mr. Charles says as he grabs a banana. Alice runs to her room, she slams the door behind her, and walks over to her bed crying.

　　"Alice you better be packing!" Mr. Charles yells from his room. Alice walks over to her closet and opens it up, she grabs a bag and walks to her dresser. After she puts all her stuff in the bag, Chase walks into her room.

　　"Hey Ali? Why's mom crying and why are you packing?" He questions. Alice looks at the ground and says,

　　"I'm staying at dads house." Chase looks at her, his mouth open but words not coming out. Alice could see a tiny tear form in his eye.

　　"So you're leaving me?" Chase asked with a shakey voice.

　　"Chase I have too, dad he, he wouldn't let me stay with mom." Alice lets out a sigh and plops down onto her bed. Chase comes up to her and hugs her.

　　"Alice are you done packing? We need to get going to reach there by sundown" Mr. Charles comes into Alice's room, hee and Chase still locked in a hug. They let go of each other and see Mr. Charles standing at the door way.

　　"Come on Alice we have to go" he says as he walks away. Alice grabs her bags hugs Chase one last time and walks off into the door way, when she's stopped by her mother.

　　"I'll miss you Alice, I love you" Alice's mom said with tears coming down her face. Alice hugs her mom before walking off put of the house.
