Jacob Hunter

Stupid fucking bastards!

I gazed down at the circular wound on my bicep. The blood was trickling down my arm and onto the sidewalk I was walking on. I needed to get to the house to treat this. Soon.

Before someone spotted a freakin bullet hole in my body and decided to take action.

Just a bit more. I turned into the alley way I had to cross in order to be within a few feet of my house. Those idiots just had to jump me when I had an unloaded gun. I was still able to beat them up enough to not have to hear from them for the next month or so but if I had my gun with it's bullets I could've just finished them off.

I went outside to the local Wal—Mart to get some milk. Which I wasn't even able to grab because I didn't even reach the store before being ambushed. I'll have to send someone else to get it now. And knowing the guys they'll end up grabbing everything but the milk. Stupid people.

Stupid milk...

I stumbled because of a crumpled can in my way as I walked past the dumpster. Almost halfway into the alley a short figure similarly stumbled across the exit of it. It was a girl that I could tell because of her hair flowing in the wind. I couldn't see anything clear about her just a black shadowed frame of who she is. I walked forward hoping to catch a glimpse of her face. If she were to move a bit more forward she'd be under the dim street light.

I wasn't the only one struggling to see the others face. From what I could tell she was standing on her tip toes leaning forward while facing me.

I decided to wait her out. Soon she'd leave and then I can come out of the shadows and make my way home.

I walk to the exit of the alley and ignore her gasp as I walk in the opposite direction of where she's standing. She must've spotted my bloody arm. People really need to mind their fucking business.

I had only taken a few steps forward till I heard her voice which for some reason forced me to stop walking instead of just ignoring her.

"Hey Bloody Man?! Need some help there??"

I stopped for her that night and since then she's been every reason for me to never stop fighting.

Juliet Harper

I missed the bus. Again.

Mom is going to metaphorically kill me for being late. Again.

'Gosh Juliet! Learn to be punctual' I mentally scolded myself.

Why does it get so dark so early? I can barely see anything plus barely any of the street lights work and those which do, are so dim.

I kept on walking till I was near a dim lit street light which stood at the end of a dark alley way.

I glanced slightly at it and it gave me shudders. It was one of those alleys where you expected a murderer to dump a body in.

I was about to continue on walking when I tripped slighlty and was right in front of an exit from the alley. Vaguely I saw the silhouette of a human figure. Most likely male judging the size of the person but then again I can't exactly be sure about that.

I stood on my tip toes and lent forward to get a better look. But the figure was frozen in its place.

Maybe this person was waiting me out?

'Why do you care just keep walking! For all you know it could be a murderer or a rapist!' My conscience screamed at me.

But I had this immense amount of curiosity to see who it was...

I was about to give up when the person began moving.

Towards me.

I let out a gasp as the person came into view under the light and began walking away.

The person, definitely a guy, had blood on one of his arms. A lot of blood.

Maybe he needs help..maybe he was the one who got attacked in the alley way by the murderer but got away...

Maybe I'm just stupid because what I did next would probably cause all my family to house bound me for life.

I called out to him, "Hey Bloody Man?! Need some help there??"

And he stopped and turned around. And when he did, I felt my heart stop for a moment too.

He looked at me as if I belonged to a mental asylum. If my mom hadn't stopped my brother last year then this guys assumption would not have been wrong.

I, on the other hand, was too busy ogling him to say anything.

His tousled brown hair, blue eyes and light stubble was enough to make me swoon.

Get a grip on yourself Juliet! And help the guy!

"What did you call me?" He asked in a low husky voice which made me weak in the knees.

"Uh— I said 'Bloody Man. Need some help there??'" I repeated in a more quiet voice than before.

He looked at me all weird for a second then began to glare at me.

"No thanks! Mind your own fcking business." He scowled at me.

I wasn't taken aback though. His words were pretty much expected.

Why can't people see that I just want to help. Do I always have to be the one insisting?

"Well I can't really, if a person is bleeding like hell right in front of me. Let me help you I've got a first aid kit in my bag and training too!" I chirped at him happily ignoring his harsh look.

"Look you need to get lost. I'm pretty sure I can handle myself." He snarled at me and was about to turn away when I stepped forward and grabbed his good arm.

"Please just let me clean it up! Stop being a douche about it and accept the help I am oh—so—graciously offering you okay?" I said in a commanding tone.

I don't like being bossy but people are just so freakin stubborn.

He narrowed his eyes in an angry way and just stood there looking at my face.

I waited for him to say something. Anything. But he just stood there so I took it as my cue to aid him.

I opened my bag and took out my kit.

My family had me keep it with me all the time and got me trained because I am to say the least, clumsy. I'm not even gonna go to the details of that.

I closely examined his muscly bicep to see that he had a bullet wound. I did not know how to take out bullets...

"I took it out." He stated as if reading my mind.

My face scrunched up as I looked at him. "With what?"

He held up his hands, as an indication. I guess he must have wiped them off somewhere after taking the bullet out.

I made a disgusted face at him. "You shouldn't do that. Ew."

He simply rolled his eyes and gave me the 'I'm waiting' look so I sat him on a near by bench and began cleaning up the wound.

After working on it for about 15 minutes I managed to wrap it up.

"You should still open it and wrap it up properly yourself later. I haven't exactly mastered that act." I said wincing slightly at the badly wrapped bandage. It should do for now...

He just nodded. His glare was gone by now but there was still a hard look on his face. Hiding all his emotions.

I smiled at him brightly. "Well! You're free to go! And so am I. Bye!" I said before waving at him and packing up my stuff, all the while he remain in his place observing me.

A thank you would've been nice ...

I began walking in the direction of my home and he got up and began walking too.

Remaining a few steps behind me.

He was probably heading in the same direction as me.

I began turning into street after street until 20 minutes later I was at my gate. Throughout the way the guy had been following me.

After a few seconds I just shrugged lightly to myself and turned and walked into my house closing the door behind me and rushing to the window to see where he went.

He had turned around and was going back from the way we came.

Does he has weird stalker tendencies?

Or he wanted me to get home safe?
