Arianna's POV

I jumped out of bed wiping away the water from my face. I didn't need a prophet to tell me who it was as this is the treatment I get from my mother. 'You sleep till now is this your husband's house?' she asked and I couldn't help but allow the tears drain away the water in my system or maybe germs as science states.

I pulled the duvet and shit along as I walked passed her towards the bathroom. 'I'm giving you thirty minutes or you walk to school,' She said behind me and I sighed knowing she meant every word she said.

I miss dad, I wish he comes back today then I'll get some rest. I was the last person to sleep last night and I'm woken up with other problems. 'Can't my life get better?' I asked no-one in particular as I put everything in the washing machine. I added the detergent and turned it on but nothing happened.

I felt my lungs go dry not knowing what to do. I knew that was the end of me. I needed something to calm me down before the heat rising in my body could kill me. I turned on the shower but no water came out.

I breathed heavily knowing that it was due to lack of water that was why the machine didn't work. With the way things were going I was sure today would be the worst day of my life.

I walked out of the bathroom and was heading outside to fetch some water when something caught my attention, water was running in my brother's room. I ran back to my room but still no sign of water. I knocked at his door and he opened after a while still in his pajamas. 'Isn't he going to school? It's already seven? But I heard water running, wasn't he taking a shower?' I mentally asked myself.

I couldn't ask him as I was trying all my best to avoid problems with mum. 'Can't you give me a peace of mind? If you are having nightmares then at least let those with sweet dreams sleep,' he yelled loud enough to attract mum's attention, something I was trying to avoid. 'I just wanted to ask, is there water in your room?' I asked calmly. 'Yeah and so?' he asked rudely. 'Can you please help me check what's wrong with the water tap, please,' I pleaded folding my hands together. 'Do I look like a good Samaritan to you? You disturb my sleep for such nonsense?' he yelled as mom came out of the room. 'You are still here, ' she yelled. 'There is no water in my room,' I said. 'How is that supposed to be part of our business? You should fetch water from outside and use,' she said casually like it was nothing. 'There is water in Ryan's room,' I Mummered to myself but was suprised she heard. 'Is that your business if there is water in his room?' she asked and slapped her. 'I'm sorry mum,' 'I'm not your mum and I need you out of this house in the next twenty minutes,' she said and my heart dropped.

This is the first time she said that and I don't know what she meant by that. Can she be meaning it? If yes then who is my mom? With my head bend down I walked downstairs. Ryan's POV

What did mum say? If she's not her mum then I think that explains the cold treatment she gives her but it doesn't guarantee rubbing on her face. I could read through her eyes, their was pain.

I know we don't get along but she always defends me, looks after me and makes sure I'm safe. I wish I never yelled her, mum won't have heard and then she won't be hurt. 'Did you alter with the taps in her room?' I asked though I know it was her I just need to make sure. 'I'm sorry for what I said, I was angry,' she answered a different thing. 'Why do you hate her. For heaven sake Ariana has done nothing but try to win your love. Can't you leave her in peace?' I asked already fed up. 'I was trying to defend you, I heard you yell and I thought she was bullying you,' 'Oh really, so should I congratulate you. Between me and her who can bully the other?' I raised my brows at her. 'I'm sorry, I wanted to punish her a bit by tempering with the water in her room, I never thought it could lead to this,' She tried touching me but I moved back. 'Go and apologize to her then she'll use your room. Martha, she got an exam in school and from today don't interfere in our fights. I'm man enough to handle my problems, I really don't need your help,' I said and walked away.

I need to find her and apologize for what I did. I didn't want her to cry, I was just pulling her legs a bit.

I searched through whole house including the outside but she wasn't there. I called her name severally but she didn't reply. 'Where the hell has she gone this early morning looking unkempt and in tears?' I asked myself with no-one to answer.

I ran back inside and took my phone, I hope she picks it up and tells me where she is. I'll go and get her.

It rang the first time and no-one answered. I called again and I heard the phone ring in her room. 'Damn it!' I yelled and threw the phone away.

Mom came running in the room. 'What happened? Why did you destroy your phone?' she asked panting like she had been running. 'Do you know the price. Just do yourself a favor of praying that wherever she is she's safe or I'll start regretting having you for a mum. Even if she's not your daughter how would you feel if I'm treated like that when you are not around?' I asked. 'I won't hurt her again,' 'I need actions not promises. She has an exam today from nine and if she misses because of you then I think this house will be small for both of us. I'm tired of your lies. You are also the one who took daddy's watch then blamed it on her and dad is coming to deal with her. Are you really human because you behave like an animal?' I asked and her face dropped.
