"I dare you to tell my parents that you're my mate Delilah. Trust me, you don't want to see the other side of me that you don't want to see. I Prince Dillon rejected Delilah Houston as my mate. I can't be mated to a weak wolf, this is a disgrace. You're a shame to this pack, you can't possibly be my Luna as I'm the next Alpha King! Keep your mouth shut and I promise that I will do the same." He glared at her with cold and deadly eyes.

Tears rolled down her cheeks but she quickly wiped them away. "I also don't want to be mated to an arrogant prince like you, Dillon. I've always hated your guts and your attitude since we were still children and I still do now. Don't think that I'm like all of them, I don't like you either. I Delilah Houston rejects you Dillon Collymore as my mate too!" She snapped back.

Prince clenched his fist and yanked her hand. "No one rejects Prince Dillon but I don't care if it's you because you're the lowest of them all...." He trailed off and laughed.

"You can never be my Luna. Why would the moon goddess play such a silly game with me? How pathetic!" He growled.

"You're hurting me! Let go of my hand or I'll scream and the whole pack will find out what kind of an Alpha King we will have in the near future," She threatened fiercely.

"You... No one talks to a prince like that! Have you forgotten that I'm royalty and you're not! How dare you threaten me?" He was furious at her.

"A prince should also respect the pack members. You're using your power against me and it's not right. I might report this to the Alpha King and his Luna. You can't treat me like this and expect me to respect you!"

His fists collided with the wall and Delilah screamed in horror. "W-what! Have you gone crazy? You could badly hurt yourself and—"

"Shut up! I'm tired of listening to your ugly voice! This is all your fault and you're gonna pay for this. If you dare approach the Alpha King then you're dead and that's a promise."

"Don't dare me, Mr Prince because I might just do it." She smirked. She wasn't like the other girls in the pack who envied to be his Luna. Being a low rank wolf as she was made her a target to the bullies, but her wolf Dakota always consoled her not to mention her best friend Brianna.

She learned to accept herself as she was and not be ashamed of who she was anymore. When she found out that her mate was the arrogant prince, she cried all night long hoping that it would be some kind of a joke but unfortunately it wasn't.

"I swear I'm not gonna spare you." He gritted out before he left fuming with raw anger.

Although she hated him back, his words still pierced like an arrow. She found herself wiping her tears again and she heard Dakota howl from the inside.

'I'm fine Dakota. He's a jerk!' Delilah hissed.

'But he's our mate. He wasn't supposed to reject us. We need him.' Dakota's pained voice said.

'I don't need him Dakota. I'll probably find a better mate than him. I've always hated him anyway.' Her words comforted her somehow.

'I think we should go for a run and probably go home. It's getting late now.' She shifted and ran into the woods, her white fur blowing with the wind and she felt a lot better than minutes ago.

She paused upon seeing red fury eyes staring at her. Her heart skipped a bit as the black werewolf came towards her. From the looks of it the wolf seemed like a rogue.

She couldn't fight and she knew it. 'Let's get out of here before he hurts us!' Dakota cried out.

The big black wolf blocked her way as she was about to make a run for it. Delilah whimpered and hoped to be rescued as the rogue sank his huge claws on her neck and she growled in pain. In a swift moment her back was hitting a tree and the hard rock bottom.

"Prince Dillon's mate!" The rogue growled in anger.

She shifted into her human form. "P-please d-don't... kill me... " She could barely speak as the big wolf took slow steady steps towards her.

"It's going to be a good feeling killing the Prince's mate! What a great achievement it's gonna be! Our king will be so happy to hear this!" He roared.

"Actually it's gonna help me if you kill her. I've already rejected her as my mate too." Delilah heard a familiar voice behind the tree.

The jerk prince!

She was annoyed and happy to see him but deep down she knew that he didn't care about her. He would rather see her die instead of saving her.

"What the heck you foolish Prince! She's your mate isn't she?" The rogue seemed confused.

"I told you that I've already rejected her. She's not my mate so you can go ahead and kill her." Prince Dillon smirked.

"Y-you jerk... How heartless can you be?" Delilah breathed out.

"Do it. I know this will make Drake really happy. I will tell the pack that the weak Delilah Houston was killed by the Rogues. It's gonna take a long time for her parents to recover but they will be fine someday."

"As you wish." The rogue almost killed her but Dillon was quick to cut his head off with his sword.

"That was easy." He rolled his eyes as Delilah cried her heart out.

"Y-you are evil..."

"How pathetic. I just saved you. I never thought you were this weak." He huffed.

"Why did I come here again?" He asked.

"To save me. Please help me get to my house. I can't walk."

Dillon laughed. "I'm not here to save you. I just tracked a bad smell here and I found myself here. He could have killed you for I care, just that I had to perform my duties and make my father proud. I know how much he likes you and your whole family. This will definitely make him sure that I can be the King."

"Selfish jerk!" He heard her mutter before she tried to stand up only to fail brutally.

He sighed before helping her up and carried her on his back.

"I'm doing this only to be the next King!" He hissed.

"My dear daughter!" Mrs Huston cried out upon seeing her daughter.

"Oh thank you so much my prince for saving her." She bowed slightly.

"It is my duty as a king to save my people." He feigned a smile.

"Please stay for dinner, my Prince." Delilah's father proposed.

"I'm fine. I'll be on my way now. Take care, Delilah." He smirked before leaving.

"What happened Delilah? How did you get hurt like this? Who did this to you?"

"Mom i-i got attacked by the rogue on my way home."

"How many times did I tell you not to go out alone? You could have asked Brianna to accompany you. I won't forgive you if you do this next time. What if prince Dillon wasn't there to save you? He's such a hero."

"Mom stop praising him so much," She mumbled.

"It's only because of him that you're alive. You should praise him."

She almost rolled her eyes at her mother. Why was she praising him so much?

"I can't wait for the party Delilah. We'll finally know who his mate is." Diana smiled.

"The Alpha king must be waiting to crown him the next king, he deserves it."

Delilah almost choked on her food. She was hiding the truth away from her parents, Prince Dillon was her mate after all but he had already rejected her.
