~ Delilah ~

"Grrrrrrrrrg",my side alarm rang. I stretch my hand towards where it was and paused it, then went back to sleep. It rang again after few minutes then I stood up and went to have my bath.

When I was done, I went into my dad and my step mothers room to greet them a good morning knowing that they wouldn't be out at that time. I went to the dinning room to have breakfast which I expected the chef to have prepared. There, I met my step sister pressing her phone and I guess she was expecting the meal.

"Hey sis, good morning".

"Good morning Trinity, how are you".

"Am fine".

"Is Laura not done with the meal".

"I don't know, have been waiting".

"Really, what if there was school today would we have gotten to school late".

In a few seconds, she came with the meal, it was jollof pasta and grilled fish.

"Why did it take such a long time to prepare",I asked.

"Actually..... emmm.... am sorry ma".

"You are sorry? For what? I asked why it too you such a long time to prepare".

"Actually ma'am I slept off".

"Slept off... like really because we are on holiday. Does a cook like you sleep off",Trinity said.

"Trinity! So Laura you slept off, I knew it because I am even waking up a bit of late today and I even expect my meal to have been served to the extent of it to have already started getting a bit of cold but it wasn't served yet".

"Am sorry ma".

"Its okay, please just call dad and mum that breakfast is ready".

~ Trinity ~

I ate in a rush, I had to go to the basketball training center today. When I finished, I went into my room, took all I will be needing and bid my parents goodbye. The driver took me to the training center, he would have to wait for me for my three and half hours there.

We completed the training and our driver took me home. I didn't meet my dad at home and I guessed he had gone to work. I greeted my mom and sister and went into my room to have a nap.

~ Delilah ~

Trinity came back from her training at around 12pm. I had to go to the market like my step mother instructed. I went to change my dressing was going to the mini Market around my school, I would be able to meet a bunch of my friends which I hadn't see since we were on holiday. I got the market and bought the things we would be needing. My step mother wouldn't allow the cook go to the market anytime my dad wasn't home, she would always want to punish me as usual. When I was done I went to meet one of my friend, valentia who lives around my school, TEXAS city high school. I met her at the entrance talking with her sister.

"Hey girlfriend",I greeted and she came to hug me.

"How are you delilah, have missed you".

"Have missed you too sweetheart".

She sat me down and offered me orange juice.

"So how has staying at home been to you",I asked.

"Its been good, am meant to ask you that especially with your step mother".

"What do expect, at least my suffering has reduced since my dad is at home, school will resume in two weeks time and I will be a little bit free".

"That's serious what of your mum".

"Mum is enjoying her life with her new husband, I don't even know if she remembers she has a daughter".

"At least you would have gone visiting this holiday so you would be free this time".

"I wouldn't wanna get my dad angry he's around now so I can't tell him I want to go visiting my mum, he said I could only go visiting if maybe he travelled".

"Why don't you consider telling him about his wife who is malterating you".

"That would be double trouble, she would find out and I can't do dat because if my sister, Trinity, she has never acted like her mother towards me".

Valentia gives a deep sigh and said,"I belive it will be okay soon my friend".

"Thanks valentia I have to go now,I only decided to check in you, she would know I branched somewhere if I don't get home anytime soon and even if I lie about traffic,the driver would always be there to tell her the truth".

"Okay, then bye see ya soon don't forget to chat me up".

"Alright I will, keep me in you prayers also, bye".

I bid her bye and went into the car and was driven home by our driver. I got home and saw my dads car parked inside the compound, he must be around and he's definately going to question me in why I am the one going to the market.

"Good afternoon dad".

"How are you delilah and why are you the one going to the market".

"emmmm...Emm...".

"Actally baby, Laura said she was feeling sick so I asked delilah to go instead", my step mother blurted out.

"why! you could at least have gone with her or let Laura get better, please don't let her ever go to the market again and at worst herself and just the driver, no honey that was wrong",my father said to her.

"Alright dad",I said.

"I wasn't surprised, I knew my step mom would bring up a lie, how I wish I could just step out of this suffering and live a good live like my father wants for me, though I was a little bit of lazy.

I went into the the kitchen to arrange the things i bought and went i to my room, it was time for my siesta.
