"Brrr,brr" the alarm clock sounded, Karyln groans and rolls around on her bed looking for the damned clock. She finds it looking at her mockingly at the other side of the room. She grudgingly got up from her bed knowing full well that it was her mum whom put it there to prevent her from hitting the snooze button as she has always done.

She puts on her pair of fluffy slippers and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth. She could fell distinctly in her heart that something was wrong somewhere. She takes her bath and goes over to her closet to pick an outfit for the day. She was shocked when she couldn't find most of her clothes in the closet and then it clicked,they were moving into a new neighbourhood today!!!

She sat down on her bed as a splitting headache hits her,then the memories started flooding in. Yesterday,her friends had dragged her to party with them all in the name of a farewell party and there she got dead drunk. She will really miss them all but unfortunately and fortunately her father has just gotten a promotion in his place of work which resulted into a higher paycheck. 

She lazily starts to rummage through her few clothing that were still in the closet and settled for a pair of skintight trousers and a t-shirt coupled with her baseball boots. After dressing up, she twirled around in front of the mirror and admires herself. She combed her blonde waist-length hair and packed it in a high ponytail giving her a look of 10 year old teen far from her 15 year old self. She throws a cheeky smile at the mirror and hopped to the door.

Soon as she placed her hand on the door knob, the door flew open narrowly missing her face by a stroke of luck to see her brother Daryln shooting a mischievous from at her. "Daryln!!" She hollered but he walked past her into the room ignoring her.

"Wow!,the sun must have risen from the West today to see you up so early" he said as he looked around the room. He walks further into the room and let out a slight chuckle on seeing the alarm clock at the other side of the room.

"Mum sure knows you best" he said, upon seeing Karyln giving him the evil eye he said "Mum says to get you down for breakfast and make sure you are set for the journey but ob--vi-ous-ly", he drawled after taking in her make-up kits,bags, shoes and clothes still unpacked, "you are not but rest assured I'm here to help you". Karyln rolled her beautiful huge black eyes at him "it's quite obvious" she said sarcastically 

"Why are you looking so pale?"he asked. "I still have a split headache from last night party" "Didn't I warn you not to go?" "Oh please, don't expect everyone to be a loner like you"  He assisted her with her luggage and they went downstairs together.

They found their father eating at the dining table while her mother was assisting the helpers to move the furnitures into the van waiting outside. As they climbed down the staircase, Mrs Rivers looked up and rolled her eyes at Karyln "Just imagine,look at the time you are waking up while your brother has woken up since. I'm quite certain if I hadn't moved that alarm clock away from your bedside,you would still be rolling around on the bed"

Daryln hopped down the staircase and assisted Mrs Rivers in carrying the chair she was about to move into the van while sabotaging his sister "Mum,she's so lazy that she has not even finished packing up her luggage, I had to assist her just now". Mrs Rivers was shocked "So you didn't finish packing up your luggage before you went out with your friends yesternight?". 

Karyln frowned"Mum please spare me, I still have a splitting headache from last night". 

Her mum gave her a look"And that's whose fault? Aren't you the one who insisted on going for a so called farewell party last night when you could have just stayed at home,pack your luggage and rest well. How I wish you could just be as adorable and obedient as your brother".

"So being a loner means being obedience and adorable? If so,pardon me for being disobedient and unadorable 'cause I'm never gonna be a loner".

"Yeah right, I almost forgot our Karyln is a queen bee" Daryln taunted her.

Mr Rivers stood up from his chair and walked over "Ok,that's alright guys. Daryln go bring the remaining bags down and let's start going and you" he shot a look at Karyln"Are you going to get your breakfast or you prefer to go hungry"

"Of course I would eat, mum where do you put the hangover soup?"

"What hangover soup?"

"Daryln told me you made a hangover soup for me "

"We have all been busy since morning and noone had the time to make a hangover soup for you but you can take some drugs for it in the cabinet"

Karyln grumbles"yeah right I know I'm the least favorite child in this house". She leaves for the kitchen and found her breakfast consisting some few hamburgers and a few more pancakes. She pours the maple syrup on the pancake and was ready to dig in when she heard her dad's deep voice thundering towards her."Are you not coming out, everyone is waiting for you?". "Coming right now dad",she screamed. She immediately chomped down the pancakes like she hasn't eaten since forever, hurriedly drinks water and used the drugs.

She holds a few hamburgers in one hand and drags her luggage behind her with the other hand.They all entered the van and off they went to Scoqnia Villa where they are to be residing from now on.
