I can't believe that I am late on my first day. I hurriedly entered the premises for the second time, the difference is that today I am late.

"Good morning Madam, may you..." The receptionist interrupted me before I continue.

"Good morning too Madam, I am glad that you are here, the Boss has been asking me if you arrived".

My heart skipped a bit. "Don't worry Madam, you are not too late. He is in a meeting and requested that you meet him once the meeting is over.

You will take a lift to the 5th floor and turn left once you get there, you will see his office with "CEO" written on the door.

"Thank you".

I said this hurriedly running towards the elevator but stopped in my track when the receptionist interrupted me. "He is really excited to work with you Madam."

I didn't know when I reached on the fifth floor, because I was in deep thoughts. How can he be excited to work with me when he barely know me?

I sat on the couch that was near his office and after 5 minutes the meeting was over.

Everyone started going to his/her working station not forgetting to stare at me like I was an Alien.

Some started talking to each other that brought noise which made him  come out.

He was really handsome and smart as always and that day he was wearing the deep blue tuxedo which is my favorite color. 

"Angela, can you hear me?" I was returned to reality by his deep voice and embarrassedly looked down not believing that he caught me drooling over him.

"It's nice to meet you once again Miss. I can't wait to start working with you. You're welcome in my office." He said this entering in the office and I followed behind going to meet my fate.

"Angela, don't be nervous. I know that you are a strong girl. Am I that scary?" "No, not at all Sir. It's that the first day always make me nervous."

"I understand Miss. Most people become nervous on their first day, but feel free. I am really honoured to work with you. I have heard much about your achievements."

"Thank you so much Sir."

I muttered gathering my courage. He stood up and went to fetch some documents that was nearby and in few seconds I was staring at the blue file.

"These are the rules and regulations, you may go through them and don't hesitate to ask for clarification where you don't understand. I'll be back in a jiffy."

"Yes Sir, thank you."

I finally breathed out a ton of air I have been holding inside my lungs when he hurriedly walked out.

I started by looking around the office and that is when I noticed that everything there is blue even the paintings. "Woow. I can't wait to work in this blue-filled environment since it is my favorite color."

The next minutes, I got immersed in the file and nothing new I found there. They were almost similar to the rules and regulations of my former workplace. After ten minutes the CEO came back.

"Is there any problem?" "No problem Sir, they are understandable. And I can't believe that I am starting on this big Salary."

"Hahahaha. Don't joke around Angela. So, you mean that you were being paid a little than this?"

"I looked down not knowing what to say next and he continued."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you, but you deserve more than this Miss, I heard that you are a hardworker."

"It is fine Sir, thank you."

"Okay, if there is no other problem, I want to show you around a little, so that you become familiar with the environment before my next meeting."

"I am ready Sir."

We started strolling around showing me everywhere and what is done there, and we stopped on a particular entrance with a label "MANAGER" on the door.

We entered and got welcomed with a grey-white haired woman with a bright smile.

What a pleasure! I am honored to receive you in my office this morning Sir! You are welcome.

"It is okay Mom."

"So she is his Mom?" I started wondering when she interrupted me. 

"You are welcome my Daughter. Stop wondering because I am your Mom too."

I didn't know how she knew what was in my mind but I blushed it off and smiled.

"Thanks Madam." 

"Don't call me Madam please, call me Mom, that is what I prefer."

"Yes Mom, I will do that from now on."

I replied going to sit beside the CEO.

"Mom, this is the Lady I was telling you yesterday. Her name is Angela Sangwa and she is officially now my secretary."

"Wonderful, you are welcome once again my daughter, I have heard much about your achievements. I strongly believe that our company is not going to be the same with you beside that Powerful Man."

"Thanks Mom, I will do my best. "

The day continued well by getting familiar with the environment and by the closing hour I was really excited to start officially the next day.

While reaching home,  I started preparing the dinner and to be honest it was boring. Staying alone was not really my thing but I had no other choice.

For my former job, I was working from home where I stayed with Dad, Mom and my two little sisters, but here am alone.

I was done with supper and stared to prepare my clothes for tomorrow when my phone rang."

I answered it without even checking the caller ID and I got shocked after hearing the voice.

"Angela, you finally went away, without even saying goodbye to me? Angela why?"

"Stop your endless acting Freddy, I am not in your game anymore you know, and it's a chapter we closed a long ago. Good night."

I hung up without waiting for his reply. I can't believe that Freddy can be bold enough to talk to me after what happened.

I continued my preparation and went to bed early ready for my first official day as Mr Blue's Secretary. 

Even though I was feeling lonely that night, it was an accomplished wish to start my new life far from everyone and everything.

I was ready to start the new story of my life, closing the old chapters.
