"Kind, where are you, my dear?"Mina called out in a shaky voice as she was playing hide and seek with her seven-year-old grandson

Kind

. Kind hid in the attic.

"Hahaha," As he huddled behind the old dining table kept in the attic, Kind let out a hushed little laugh.

Grandma, you can never find me

“Cough! cough!” Mina coughed as she struggled to catch her breath.,

Due to her poor health and weak heart, the Doctor had told her to take bed rest but when her grandson, Kind requested her to play hide and seek with him, she couldn’t refuse the little guy;

who in this world could say no to those hopeful eyes of Kind. It wouldn’t be a lie if I say Mina is more like Kind’s mother than a grandmother. She has been taking care of Kind since Kind was 2 years old.

“Cough! Cough!” This time Mina’s Cough was loud and more painful, she covered her mouth with one hand and the other rubbing her chest.

“Blood!” Mina said under her breath as she found blood on her hand with which she had just covered her mouth, If you found blood coming out when you cough then it means that you have no time left doctor’s words rang in Mina’s head

Suddenly the world around Mina begins to revolve around her and even before she could hold onto something sturdy to support her frail body, she collapsed onto the ground.

After one hour Kind's Mother wails, "Mother!"

As soon as he heard a loud cry, Kind ran in the direction of his mother's voice. He discovers his grandmother, laying on the ground, and his parents ,sitting near her, sobbing. He had no idea what was going on, so he asked innocently

"Mother, why are you crying?" " Why is Grandma sleeping on the ground.?"

"Kind, your..grandma-.,". His mother hugged him and attempted, but failed, to tell him the truth. "Your grandmother has passed away," his father completed his mother's words.

When he saw the lifeless body of his grandmother, Kind felt like his world came crashing down around him. Kind cried all day that day, until it was dawn.

On the day of Mina’s funeral, He overheard one of his family members discussing the unfortunate incident that befell his family, . "Did you hear? This entire situation was brought on by that tiny maestro of ill luck!"

[Badluck?] Kind wonders,”What is it?”

Another individual stated, "Because of that kid."

Kind was aware that people were discussing him, but he had no idea what ill luck was? *Back then, people were exceedingly superstitious and believed in both bad and good luck*.

"Mom, what does bad luck mean?" Kind asks his mother as he runs up to her.

"Bad luck denotes problems brought on by the presence of something or someone”, his mother explained to Kind. [Bad Luck!] This world keeps ringing in his brain as he walks inside his room, he thinks aloud, [Am I the cause of my grandmother's death?] His eyes were welling up with tears. [Does my presence cause problems in the house? Will my parents also die like grandma if I live with them?]

His mind filled with various questions and from that day Kind started to believe that he was a deity of bad luck who brings troubles to everyone around him.

After 10 years, Our Little Kind grew into a brilliant student. That young Kind, who used to know nothing but his grandmother, is now a Topper of Heaven secondary school. His best pals are books and novels. Time has changed, but The only thing that hasn't changed while growing up was his belief - He believed he was the god of misfortune. Not only his belief but also Kind's environment also contributed to hammering down his belief as a deity of terrible luck.

“Kind!!!” The teacher yelled at Kind who was glancing out the window.

"Yes, sir," Kind said to the instructor, who was surprised and on his feet.

"Why were you looking out the window?" his teacher asked as soon as he approached Kind.

"I'm sorry, sir, but it won't happen again." as Kind didn’t get an excuse to say he bowed his head down and apologized to the teacher.

"You may take a seat." As his teacher walked away from him, he was granted permission.

He thinks to himself, "Oh lovely god, thank you for your kindness."

After a few moments.

Ding-Dong-Dong-Dong-Dong-Dong-D The school bell has rung.

"Students, take note. As homework, complete the chapter's questions. Dismiss the class!" The teacher then exited the classroom. Like everyone else in the room, Kind stuffs his items into his bag and drapes them over his shoulders, .as he makes his way toward the classroom's exit door.

"Kind!" yells a girl named Pearl from behind.

"Yes," Kind responded as he turned his body.

"Would you like to come to the cafe with us? After a cup of coffee, we're going to study, "Pearl said. It was apparent in her eyes that she hoped Kind would join her.

Kind responded, turning away from her face, "Sorry, I have to be at home by the end of class."

"..."

"See you later." Kind walks out of the classroom, leaving Pearl alone. He wanted to go to the cafe, but his mother forbade him from hanging out with his friends.

Kind arrived at his house after a few minutes of walking.

When Moon, his mother noticed Kind entering his room, she exclaimed and called him in a loud voice, "Kind, come here."

Kind slowly turns around and walks in the direction of his mother's position.

"Yes, Mom,"

"I just wanted to let you know that we're moving to Damak next week," his mother informed him, while gazing at the magazine in her hands.

"And what about my school?" Kind inquired his mother.

Kind's mother raises her head and says, "I will talk to the principal sir for T.C," and she resumes reading the magazine.

“I am not talking about T.C, I am talking about my studies and my friends. Do you think I will be able to do good in a new environment?”

“Stop acting like a child, we are having some problems here and will your friends take care of you if we leave you alone here?” with a mean tone Moon

Kind’s mother

scolds him.

Kind didn't say anything in return because it was clear that his mother was unconcerned about his studies. She believes that her son is far smarter than the other kids and will be able to easily complete his studies in the new school. But in reality Kind cannot. It is not as simple as his mother believes for Kind to adjust to a new environment and focuses on his studies.

Kind turns around and walks inside his room, slamming the door shut. Kind

picks up

his all-time favourite novel from his library and begins to read it in order to forget his sorrow. His friend was unaware of his distress.

This isn't the first time his mother has failed to remember him while taking some important decisions. When he was 9 years old, he asked his mother to get him a novel. His mother did not buy the novel he liked but instead she purchased a book named ‘100 Ways to Be a Successful’ and discarded his complaints by quoting that she had no money for unnecessary purchases. Kind’s fate on his mother was broken because of those words

But the next day, Kind found that his mother bought a lovely playhouse for his sister. This playhouse pierced like a needle in his heart. He kept smiling when his sister showed him her new toy but deep inside Kindwas crying and missing his grandma so much that it can’t be expressed in words.

Kind has felt this way since that day, not just because his mother didn't care about his feelings, but also because his grandmother, whom Kind adored, died because of his misfortunes Everything around had also played an important role which made him feel as if he were unlucky for others.
