Life with a single mother wasn't the very best, especially in a country like Nigeria.

　　All precious life, she grew up with the love of her mother and strived hard to make the woman who worked day and night for her happy and proud.

　　Her mother story goes back to the early 2000s and how a beautiful mistake she had made led her to her present situation.

　　When her mother had just graduated from secondary, she got pregnant and was kicked out by her parent.

　　She was even pushed away by the person she called a friend. Precious mother whose name was Grace, had trouble in deciding whether to keep precious without any help, without her parents, friends, and the dad; A difficult decision indeed.

　　She hid her pain with a bright smile that could fool everyone, but her eyes told the truth. She knew she made the right choice in the end which was why she named her child Precious.

　　She often referred to precious as her precious gem- strong, rare, and beautiful.

　　Grace parents never contacted her which was the reason precious had never seen or met her grandparents, but they don't sound like the kind of people she'd want to meet.

　　Grace Ebiere, the name of Precious beautiful mother. Mid-thirties and looking wonderful with her average height, an oblong face, and dark skin.

　　Due to certain circumstances, Precious attended one of the richest school in Lagos State Nigeria, named; Royal stone high school.

　　Precious had gotten the benefit of attending such prestigious school where only the rich attended by her mother's boss who had came across her solving maths.

　　The man was impressed by what a child as young as her could do and began to sponsor her from senior secondary school one. Precious always hid herself from being seen by others to avoid drama in her life and she made sure to hide herself well.

　　Royal stone high school was one of the very best school located in Lekki, Lagos State. It was well known for having the best teachers from around the globe and academy standard.

　　The school was well known for the elites alone and one from not a prestigious family couldn't afford the school since it school fees ranges from 700,000 to 1,000,000 naira.

　　  Precious was always punctual to school, she tend to be in school before seven because the students of Royal stone high school were rich, spoiled rude and pompous.

　　After bidding her mother farewell, she makes her way to school. Her mother means the world to her. It makes her so sad when her mother works extra hard to afford for the both of them. She has never heard about her father and she made no effort to ask about him.

　　Precious school uniform consisted of a dark green plaid skirt and a white button long sleeve shirt, a dark green tie, a hat and a dark green jacket.

　　There were hardly any good souls at Royal stone, the students were horrible to one another, bragging about one thing or another and huge show off.

　　That's what lead her best friend Amanda to leave when they found out she was poor. Amanda wasn't even really poor,  she was from an average family who had it going well, unlike precious.

　　They mocked and bullied her, always frustrating her and putting her in trouble, but she still kept quiet. The main reason she left was when she was accused of being a thief.

　　They all laughed and made all insulting comments towards her, she couldn't take it anymore and left the school.

　　Precious headed to school happily as she knew not what was ahead for her today. While walking to her school, a car droved passed her and splashed water on her, making her uniform wet. She hadn't wore her jacket on at the time.

　　She gasped as she waited for the car to stop. She waited patiently as the Hummer Jeep parked and behold the queen jazebel came out of the car; It was Beauty, one of the richest student in the entire Royal stone.

　　Beauty was known as Royal stone most beautiful girl, she was a big snub and a cunny and devious girl.

　　She feared no one and believed everyone was below her.

　　 Beauty came down from the car with so much confidence as she strolled into the school with her small fancy bag on her one shoulder and two books on her hand.

　　Precious was shocked to see Beauty in school by this time because the student of Royal stone was late comers with pride.

　　She hurried into the restroom to get rid of the stains on her uniform.

　　As soon as she was done, she got out and walked into her class, she was getting close to her class wen she heard low chortles.

　　She was shocked to see Beauty, Dorathy and Blessing in the classroom all looking towards her with an unreasonable expression on their face.

　　"My good luck spree is gone!" She muttered, with her heart beating fast and she becoming a nervous wreck, the first thing that came to her mind was; do they know she was poor?
