"I wonder if he wants a boy or a girl..."

On the night of the second anniversary of their marriage, Tammy Wood was waiting in front of the candlelight dinner, holding a pregnancy report tightly in her hand.

She got the pregnancy report two days ago. On the night two months ago, her husband Jago Hill was drunk, and they had sex... Later, they forgot to take precautions because they were too tired.

However, she remembered that he liked children very much. He should be very happy!

"I'm back."

After returning home on time, Jago put his suit on the porch. When he saw the candlelight dinner, his face stiffened, and then he said seriously, "Tammy, I have something to tell you."

"Wh-what?" Tammy was stunned. Looking at his serious expression, she suddenly felt a little scared.

"Tammy, let's get divorced." What Jago said was as harsh as a sharp knife.

"She's back. I have to be responsible for her."

Tammy opened her eyes wide as if she had been struck by lightning. "But, today is the second anniversary of our marriage... You said that our consensual marriage would last for three years!"

"She's back, so the agreement will be canceled in advance." Jago pulled his tie, and there was no impatience on his handsome face. "Tammy, I can compensate you for whatever you want."

"But..." Tammy wanted to say more, but the tone in Jago's voice brooked no argument. "Tammy, you can ask for as much money as you want, but we must get divorced. Don't be willful, okay?"

Willful...

Tammy bit her lips hard. She didn't calm down until her mouth was filled with the smell of blood.

In his eyes, was her love over the past two years just willfulness?

She asked softly, "Jago, it's been two years. We've been together day and night for two years. Don't you like me at all?"

Jago paused and then looked away. "Tammy, it's meaningless to talk about this now."

"But do you know that I..." Tammy wanted to say that she was pregnant, but the expression on his face had been indifferent, so she stopped.

She held the pregnancy report tightly and tears kept running down her face.

"Tammy, I'm not joking." The look in Jago's eyes suddenly became fierce. "You can get whatever you want, but you must agree to divorce me. Don't make it difficult for me."

Tammy knew that she must look terrible at this time because she couldn't control her tears at all. But the man in front of her was still so decent and handsome, and there was no trace of sadness in his eyes.

Her heart ached so much that she felt suffocated. She felt as if there were ten thousand ants biting her heart.

In the end, she agreed. "Okay, when will we go through the formalities?"

When Jago heard that, his face softened. "There's no rush for the formalities. I have one more thing I need your help with, Tammy."

"It's about grandpa, right?"

The atmosphere suddenly became silent. After a long time, he said, "Tammy, I'm sorry. Thank you for accompanying me to put on another show in front of my grandfather. When the divorce agreement is ready, I will ask Edward Smith to send it to you."

"Alright." Tammy nodded numbly.

Jago was relieved and left home.

As soon as he left, Tammy slowly squatted down and burst into tears.
