"No."

"Alpha Quinn, with all due respect, can you stop acting like too much of an asshole?"

"You expect to insult me and want me to give you my help? Don't make me laugh Terrance."

"It's just a simple request. I'll even pay you for your services. Just the rogue problem is becoming a bit out of hand."

I snorted.

"That's why you should have strong pack members, not pathetic weaklings who can't even punch hard enough to break someone's nose."

"Will you help or not?"

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I sighed in irritation. "Fine. My top fighters and I will be by in two days. Don't make me regret my decision." I hung up and put the phone back in the holder.

Last thing I wanted or had time for was to waste it in pathetic packs who can't defend themselves from simple rogues.

"You still have to help though."

I smirked as I turned my chair around to face my sister, who was standing in the doorway with her arms folded.

"I said that out loud didn't I?" I raised a brow and she nodded.

"Just because they're not as strong as our pack, that doesn't mean they are weak or pathetic, Quinny." She moved forward and sat in the chair in front of my desk.

I shrugged. "If they can't handle a couple rogues, they're weak."

She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Remember what mom used to say about —"

"Don't you dare bring up that bitch in here!" I snarled at her, making her flinch.

"She was your mother, not mine. The hag only gave a fuck when she was on her death bed. "

I said, hatred lacing my tone. My mother and I never had a good relationship, but she adored my sister. Honestly, I didn't care, once she never treated my sister the way she did me then I was fine.

She was lucky she never did.

Rose sat silently with a pained expression, I figured because of how I spoke to her.

"I'm sorry, Rosie. You know that subject is touchy for me." I reached over the desk and took her hand in mine.

She smiled slightly.

"I know. I'm sorry. Can I come when you're leaving?"

I shook my head. "Absolutely not."

"Quinny please."

"No."

She snatched her hand out of mine and stood up. "Fine. I guess I'll just go hang out with Devin."

I growled.

"Devin is bad for you. I told you to stop seeing him."

"I'm 18, Quinny. You can't stop me from doin whatever the hell I please."

"I SAID STOP SEEING HIM."

I got up and stood infront of her, my chest huffing up and down deeply.

"Let. Me. Fight."

She stared me down and a smirk crept it's way onto my face. Her determination was always something I always loved about her.

"Alright."

"No Quinny. You can't want to control every aspect of my li— wait did you say alright?"

I nodded and she started squealing, causing me to wince.

"THANKS QUINNY!" She kissed my cheek and ran out of the room, in search of her mate I'm guessing who was my Beta.

Mate. That word made me wince. Naturally, it's normal for an Alpha to find his mate at the age of 17, but here I am.

25 and Mateless. At some point in my life, I convinced myself she might of died or fell for someone else. The thought used to upset me but not anymore. I don't need a mate, she probably wouldn't want me anyway.

"Your mate will never love you! She'll reject you and love another man right in front of you!"

My arm twitched in anger. "Mother, stop."

"Who would want worthless piece of shit like you? You're the reason my mate left me! You ruined me!"

"I SAID FUCKING STOP!!"

The sun was setting and I mind linked to my third in command to let the top fighters know I wanted to see them in the morning.

A sigh escaped my lips. As much, as I didn't want to help this pack, they called themselves The Red Moon Pack, my conscience got the best of me.

And Rose's constant nagging at me to be a little nicer to other people.

Let's hope this won't end up being a waste of my time.

I regret

I regret

I regret

I regret

This pack is legit the most annoying I've ever been too.

Or taken over.

Girls throwing themselves left right and center, men lazily sitting down or laying on the grass and the children on their damn phones!?

They are lucky I'm not their Alpha, I'd put their lazy asses to work.

I do not over work my pack members. Training 3 times a week, pack runs and patrols

not the children of course, although they do participate in the training set for their level

, that's about it and the rest of their time is to be spend doing whatever they please.

But...

This pack looks like they don't even take a run on their own let alone all together.

"This pack is pitiful.." My Beta, Nikolai said to me through our group mind link, causing his mate

my sister

, and the other fighters I brought along to groan in agreement.

"Its no wonder they needed help. These wolves can't even stand up right." I shot back, obviously irritated.

This is an utter waste of my time.

"Alpha Quinn!"

I looked in the direction of where my name was called, bringing me eye to eye with....wait, is that a man?
