After 10 years...

“OH, there she is!” He shouted and wave his hands, telling me where they are.

I smiled and walk towards them.

“Goodness attorney! You`re always late.” I chuckled.

“Well, my client today is annoying. I almost kick his ass, if only Yelana is not there!”

“Where is she, by the way?”

“She`s with Drey.” Segundina shook her head.

“I still can`t get used to it, you calling kuya Drey. Drey.” I just smiled and start talking with the others.

Today is Segundina`s birthday, she`ll announce today what gender is her baby.

It`s been 8 months since she got married with that jerk, and she got her pregnant asap!

I can`t forgive that jerk!

Segundina is a doctor, she graduated 2 years ago and I graduated last year.

I`m a lawyer, funny cause ten years ago, I love to make people around me suffer with my lies and oh, with my unreasonable games. But look at me now! I`m fighting for those who got framed, I`m fighting for justice!

A lot of things happened, but it doesn`t matter anymore. I already forgive them, but I still can`t face them. Especially that jerk.

I don’t regret what happened back then, because of it I have Yelena. I have my baby.

I was busy eating and talking with Segundina when I felt that my phone vibrate.

Must be Drey.

I took my phone out and I saw that an unregistered number is calling, so I ignored it.

This past few months I keep receiving messages and calls from different unregistered numbers. I answered once but the person on the other side is silent and

I can only hear his breathing. I even thought it was him but it`s impossible cause his out of country since that day.

I excused myself and called Drey.

“Drey.”

“Hi mommy!” she giggled. I smiled after hearing her soft voice. I can imagine her face while giggling! My baby is so cute!

“How`s my baby?” I ask softly.

“I`m ok mom! How about you po? Are you having fun at tita mommy`s party?” She`s always like that when I`m outside without her or Drey. She always ask if I`m fine or I`m happy.

Yelena is very smart kid. We once watch disney movies and she said she doesn`t like it. She said it`s all lies! Why we adult make children watch a movie that far from reality? It will only disappoint them when they grow up. So we never watch Disney since then. We watch anime tho.

“Mommy is having fun, baby! I wish you were here..”

“Mom, sometimes I think between us you`re the kid!” This kid! I laugh at what she said.

“Come on, sweety. Don`t bully mommy too much.” Yelena giggled.

“Daddy Drey!”

“How is she?” He asked. I remained silent for a minute.

“She`s happy, she`s having a baby in 2 month from now.” He stayed silent. I know what his thinking right now. I don`t know the exact story but he and Segundina have something for each other before, I thought they would end up together but after Segundina graduated they broke up and announced that she`s getting married. They were engage for a long time I don`t know why. But along those 1 year and 2 months of Segundina`s being engaged, Drey is trying to bring her back and he thinks that Segundina`s baby is his.

“I want to know..”

Drey is banned from seeing Segundina, I was also involve before and I can`t even attend her wedding because of the fear that I might snatch her and bring her to Drey.

“Me too..”

“I`m always here for you Drey.”

“Yes daddy! Mommy is right!”

“Mommy, what is the baby`s gender? I hope it`s a girl so I can play with my sister!” I chuckled.

“Tita mommy will announced it soon, I`ll tell you later, ok?” “Ok mommy! Daddy wants to talk with you.” I heard her calling Drey.

“What is it?”

“Stay safe, Erica. I love you, baby.”

“OF course, you too. Love you! Take care of Yelena for a while, ok?”

“Yes mommy!” He said then laugh.

I went back to Segundina who`s looking at me right now. When she notice that I`m looking at her too she look away. Avoiding my gaze.

“That`s Yelena.” She looks at me waiting for me to name him.

“And Drey, too.”

I know something that she didn`t know I knew.

Habits dies really hard, eh?

I continued eating while talking with Segundina. She didn`t invite the others because they are present in her wedding day and I`m not. One of the reason why I didn`t attend her wedding day is they are invited. Well, call me childish but they make me feel sick even I already forgive them.

I lied to Drey.

I know my best friend. I know when she fake it or not.

I hate her husband.

“Are you sure you don`t want to come with me? We promised to each other Seg.”

She frowned.

“He won`t let me.” I smirk.

“You know that he always lose to me.”

“But-“

“Seg. You lost yourself the moment you let him go. I hate it.” She look down, hiding her smile that full of pain.

“I know his happy with you. And his in a good hands, I trust you Erica.” Maybe I really didn`t change at all.

“I want you to be honest with me, Seg. I want you to tell me the truth so I can help you.” She didn`t talk so I continued.

“Don`t worry, I`m giving you time to think about it. But you know my patience, Seg.” She nodded and smiled.

“Enough with that and let`s eat cake!” Hearing the word cake made me drool! I`m still inlove with cakes! But there`s this one cake that I`ve been avoiding to eat for the last ten years.

I went home after I gave my gift to Seg. I really don`t want to be in the same room with that jerk. He makes feel awful!

“You look mad again.” He said and chuckled. I went near him and kiss his cheek. I was about to pull away when he pulled my waist, making me stay closer to him. I punch his chest and laugh.

He smiled. I can hear his heart beat or maybe it`s my heart beat? I don`t know.

“Mommmmmyyyyy!” I heard my baby shouted and run towards us.

“Join! Mommy, is mine daddy! Let me join!” She said and glared at Drey. We both laugh at her reaction and Drey let me go to carry Yelena, he pulled me again and put his hand around my neck so a put my hand in his waist so we can all hug.

But Yelena is struggling, wanting to push Drey away.

“Mommy is mine!” Drey pouted. Cute.

“No baby, I owned her first before you did.” Yelena look at me helplessly.

“Stop it, Drey.” He laugh and went near me to kiss my forehead.

Yelena growled and punch Drey legs.

I carried her and told her to sleep already cause it`s too late.

“Mommy, what’s the gender?” she asked curiously so I look at Drey if it`s ok for him. He nodded.

“Boy and girl, baby!” She said wow looked so amazed. Darn, my baby is so cute!

Drey look at me. So I told him I`ll talk to him later.

I tucked in Yelena after telling her what happened today.

I bent down to kiss her cheeks and whispered I`m sorry. She deserve it after all.

After that I went to our room, besides Yelena`s room.

I saw Drey reading books in his study table. He glance at me when he notice the door opening.

He take a bath already and he is on his pajama`s.

“I`ll just take a bath.” He nodded.

I take my towel and my pajamas and went to the bathroom.

While taking a shower, I`m thinking if I should tell him a half truth or the whole truth? He deserve it. But I don`t think I have the right to meddle with their problems.

So I went outside, he notice me so he stops reading and went to where is the blower and signaled me to go near him. It`s already been our habit to do this every day. It`s also considered our quality time together since our schedule just won`t much. I`m a lawyer while his an architect.

While drying hair I started talking.

“Hey, Drey.”

“Hmm?”

“What do you think?” I`ll him what I know depend on his answer.

“I think it`s mine..” His voice cracked and full of sorrow yet soft.

“She`s not happy, Drey.” He froze.

“I want you to promise me that you won’t do anything after this, hm?” He nodded and kiss my hair gently. I smiled.

“She`s wearing jacket, a very thick one.” He understand what I mean. Of course! She knows Segundina more than I do. I can feel his heavy breathing and the way he brush my hair is a little bit harsh, but gentle. So I stand up and hug him.

“Drey..”

“I`m ok, Shab.”

“I don`t know if my eyes is playing with me but I think I saw a bruise in her legs! Seg is a strong woman! So I can`t believe what I saw Drey..I hope my eyes is just playing with me. I- I don`t know what I can do if his really hurting her!” I trembled in anger so Drey calm me down by patting my head and kissing my hands. Oh gosh! I should be the one comforting him!

He stayed quiet, analyzing what I told him. He stayed calm as he promised.

“I really thinks it`s mine. Marquat family has the history of having twins! That bastard don`t have, same with Seg! And now she`s having a baby! A twins!” He furiously said but still trying to hide his anger.

“Hey, Drey. I have a plan. Remember our promise?” He nodded.

“I`m just waiting for an answer from her, and you.”

“How about-“I cut him off.

“Yelena knew.”

“Let me think about it.” After that we sleep with many thoughts in our mind.
