" Meghan." King Thomas called softly, dropping his fork.

" Yes dad?" Meghan answered, stabbing her meat without cutting it into small bits.

" Meghan!!!!!" Queen Catherine half yelled, eyeing Meghan down. " Where are your manners?! Can't you be like your sister for once and follow the rules?? You'll disgrace us someday with the way you' eat!!"

" Catherine." The king chided, cautioning the Queen.

" Vanessa is a first born and is to have her life planned out. Don't plan mine for me." Meghan said quietly, almost inaudibly, continued chewing.

" Oh really, then you'd embarrass her and us in the nearest future??"

Meghan slammed her cutlery on the table and fixed her mother a stare. " What does it matter anyway? Second borns to last born don't mean anything in the Royal Kingdom."

Queen Catherine glared at her husband, her eyes saying - can you see your daughter - and left the dinning room. Her personal maids behind her instantly.

"I'm sorry father." Meghan muttered, picking up her fork.

" I hope you get cultured and get manners. Always trouble." Vanessa scooted her chair back and stood up.

" Vanessa!!!" The king half yelled.

" Sorry father, she just needs to know how much of a trouble she is."

" Sit!" The king ordered,

She stared her sister down and sat. " You and your sister should go to the park and represent your mother and I in the event taking place there. It's the grand opening and you both have to be there."

" Please Dad, I'm sure Vanessa can handle it well." Meghan pleaded, not wanting to have an alone time with her sister. Both her and their mother always made her feel useless, worthless and inferior, they have lowered herself esteem.

" You both are Royals and have equal rights to attend the ball." The king stated.

"But father......" Meghan tried arguing.

" No buts Meghan, you're going with your sister and that's final."

Meghan sighed, the food suddenly tasteless in her mouth. Their father tries to be the good man, he's the only one that's serves as a medium between her and her mother and Vanessa, while Vanessa and the queen shared an unbreakable bond. Vanessa had always made sure to rub it to her face that she's not important in the kingdom, also letting her know she can get away with anything and get whatever she wants unlike she, the second born or should she say last born?? She's meant to stay stuck in her sister's shadow forever.

" When is the event dad?" Vanessa asked sweetly. Not that she hated her sister Meghan, she just dislikes a lot of facts about her.

" At two o' clock this afternoon dear."

Meghan rolled her eyes and continued eating angrily.

Vanessa stood, curtsied to the king before leaving the table.

" Meghan darling, try to be less stubborn everytime. It'll do you no good."

Meghan nodded absentmindedly, forcing herself to eat the food and not let the cooks' sweat be in vain. At least, it'll show she appreciates their efforts unlike her mother and sister.

" You'll be fifteen soon and you haven't introduced your boyfriend." The king raised his eyebrow suggestively.

Meghan tightened her lips, not ready to tell her father how she gets bullied in school everyday by her peers because of her timidness and how Vanessa never stood up for her before she left for high school, in fact if anything, she made it worse.

That asides, she finally has a crush but it someone she can't ever have. Seems the universe is really against her.

" I'm not interested in having one for now dad."

" Hmmm... You had better get one, get a boyfriend from one of the high ranked royals okay? Probably a prince from Rome, Greece, even the Arabs." Her father teased

" Ughhh......come on dad!! I can't believe I'm having this conversation with you!"

" Okay on a more serious note, hope you're getting ready for high school?"

" Can I go to Tousvenville High?? I know it's a year from now." Her eyes widened in expectations.

" Just the perfect school dear."

" Really?"

The king continued like he didn't hear her. "You'll be attending last born Royals high!! Is that great?!"

Meghan didn't bother hiding her disappointment. " Last borns royals high??"

" Yes darling."

"Why can't I go to Tousvenville High??"

" Because you're royal?" The king stated the obvious though it came out more as a question.

"So??" Meghan persisted.

" Townsville.."

" Tousvenville" she corrected.

" Tousvenville is a school for commoners and thankfully you're not one."

Meghan stared at her father like he's a alien and had just dropped on earth. " Tousvenville isn't a school for commoners, it's were stinkingly rich people take their kids."

" We're royals, always remember that. Not stinkingly rich people."
