When Phoebe Summers was brought to the hotel by her stepmother, her consciousness was muddled.

Before she closed her eyes, her dizzy vision captured scenes of her stepmother talking to someone unknown.

Phoebe passed out and was carried to an upstairs room. Her stepmother, Larisa Moore, stood at the doorway, wearing a gleeful smile.

Larisa's phone rang as she left the hotel. She picked it up and could hardly contain her excitement as she exclaimed, "Poppy, you can finally go abroad now!"

Phoebe opened her eyes again to find herself surrounded by yellow light.

She supported her throbbing head and sat up, just in time to see a middle-aged man with a bald head walking out of the bathroom, his round belly wrapped in only a towel.

Phoebe trembled in fear at the sight of the man.

"Who are you? Where am I?" She asked.

Rupert Stewart didn't answer and rubbed his hands together as he climbed onto the bed. "Don't be afraid, my darling. I'll take good care of you."

Phoebe shook her head desperately, "No... please, no..."

Rupert removed the towel around his waist and started tearing Phoebe's clothes.

With some newfound strength, Phoebe pushed him away abruptly. Rupert's obese body tumbled off the bed, and he struggled to get up. Phoebe stumbled and managed to escape from the room.

In the dimly lit corridor, everything seemed distorted under her feet. She shook her head vigorously, leaning against the wall, trying to move forward.

"You b*tch! You'll be dead if I catch you!"

Rupert's furious roar echoed behind her. Phoebe's face turned pale as she reached a room door, pounding on it desperately. "Is anyone in there? Please help me!"

Several doors in a row went unanswered, leaving her in despair.

Suddenly, one of the doors swung open as she pushed it! Without much thought, Phoebe stumbled into the room.

The room was dark, filled with a strong smell of alcohol, and the air conditioning was turned to the lowest setting, making Phoebe shiver.

"Who's there?" A indifferent voice asked.

Phoebe was about to ask for help when someone pulled her over and pinned her against the wall.

"Sir..."

Hugh Goldman had his entire face shrouded in darkness. He pressed against Phoebe and let out a chilling laugh, but gradually, a hint of sadness seeped into his laughter.

"Why did you leave me? Tell me, why?"

Phoebe's already foggy mind became even more confused as he shook her.

Realizing that he had mistaken her for someone else, Phoebe tried to explain, "Sir, please listen to me..."

But the door was pushed open again.

Rupert stormed in with his men, bursting in aggressively. "Where's that woman?"

Phoebe's body stiffened, and her face turned pale in horror.

Hugh slowly raised his head, then shifted his glare onto the uninvited guests behind him. His voice was resolute and merciless, every word dripping with hostility, "Get out now if you don't want to die!"

"Who do you think you are?" Rupert shouted, "You're asking for trouble!"

At this moment, the hotel manager hurried over. He broke into a cold sweat seeing the man before him and quickly stopped Rupert. "Mr. Stewart, please come with me."

"No way, I'm not letting him off easily today!"

The manager hurriedly whispered in his ear, "He's..."

Upon hearing the manager's words, Rupert's expression changed. He lost his previous arrogance, bowed hishead as if afraid of being recognized and left with his entourage in disarray

The room fell silent again.

Phoebe breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, sir!"

Hugh turned his head back to Phoebe, "Why did you leave me?"

He approached her, and the smell of alcohol wafting over.

All of a sudden, Phoebe was pulled over by a strong force and thrown onto the bed. Hugh's solid body pressed down on her, their bodies tightly entwined.

The softness beneath drove him crazy.

His face remained indistinct in the darkness. Phoebe could only hear his questioning voice and slightly hurried breath.

"No... please," Phoebe was terrified, her hands pushing against his burning chest. Her voice was on the verge of tears. "Please, let me go!"

Hugh ignored her and forcibly tore off her dress.

"No!"

Phoebe's scream hadn't even left her throat when an intense pain suddenly paralyzed her entire body.

Hugh let out a low roar and collapsed onto Phoebe. His whispered voice reached her ears, "Maylah..."

When everything settled, he opened his eyes and saw the woman beneath him. Hugh was stunned.

Phoebe had already fainted, her long hair covering her delicate face, revealing only her slightly pointed chin.

"Mr. Goldman!" Someone knocked on the door outside the room, "We should leave now."

Hugh came to his senses. Furrowing his brows, he moved away from Phoebe. His glance fell onto a streak of red on the bed.

It seemed so glaring.

Hugh squinted and muttered a curse in frustration.

Soon, he tidied himself up and pushed the door open without looking back.

Hugh instructed his assistant, Waylen, who was standing outside the door, "Take care of this!"

Waylen nodded, "Leave it to me, Mr. Goldman."

Shortly after, someone entered the room and injected a syringe into the woman on the bed...
