I walked through our busy hallway with my best friend--Naomi--headed outside. I wonder why I was leaving school by this time. My mom had called and asked me to come home....fast.I knew it was urgent cause she wouldn't have called and asked me to come home knowing how much I hated skipping class. A little introduction,my name is Elaine cicchino,20years old and an American.

"Hey, wait up"Naomi called as we got to my car.l turned to her and she sighed probably tired of trying to keep up with my fast pace.

"You haven't still told me your reason for leaving this early. I mean its barely past third period".

I sighed. "I told you, mom called" I said really wanting to get home now.

"Yeah, but why?”

"I have no idea but I'll try to get back to you" I replied hugging her to avoid more questions.

"Okay but don't forget to call"she said.

"I won't" I replied getting into the car and driving off with the taught of why mom called still on my mind.

I walked into the living room closing the big pure gold-made doors behind me. I turned and looked up to see my mom,dad and two men in suit seated. My mom stood up immediately and beckoned me to come forward. I finally took a step forward and slowly walked into the living room. Getting to my mom I greeted them and sat down.

"How was school my dear?" my dad asked.

"Good until...." I replied drawing the last word and hoping them to understand. My dad nodded and turned to my mom. She nodded and looked at me.

"Sorry for calling so suddenly" she said and sighed probably seeing the look I gave her to go ahead.

"Honey you are getting married" she said and for a brief moment I could not apprehend what she just said. I turned to dad then back at her.

"What?" I asked and looked at my dad this time.

"Well, we signed a deal with Victoria secret modeling company and to seal the deal you have to get married to their son"he replied.

My eyes dilated as I stared from my mom to dad and back. My dad gave my mom a look and pulled me up taking me upstairs.

GETTING MARRIED!!!

"But mom, you know I can't get matried now. I mean I'm not even through with school yet". She sighed.

"Honey I know but this is a very important deal and it is also for your future. I mean come to think of it you are getting married to the world's youngest billionaire bachelor. This is an opportunity most girls would die for".She said and I paused to think for a while....Wait a minute....no...it could not be true.

Jeff Jefferson. I was getting married to Jeffrey Jefferson. I turned to mom and she smiled and nodded. I scoffed and look back at her. "But that is not a reason for me to get married to him. I don't even know him or even love him".

"Look I'm really sorry this came as a shock to you. But there is nothing I can do now. You just have to get married to him and I'm sure as the days go by you would learn to live with him and eventually love him". She kissed my forehead and walked out quietly.

I sat back on the bed and thought of what just happened. This really isn't a joke. Just yesterday I was a free college girl and today I'm engaged without my permission.

I know my parents see this as a good thing for their only child and I do know they love me. But what happened to studying,graduating and then running the business perfectly.

Though I knew I had to get married but I always dreamt it would be someone I love and who loves me too. I never really had a boyfriend and neither have I been involved in any sexual activity. I always wanted it to be the night of my wedding.
