" its getting worse " Doctor Philip finally said breaking the silence as he looked up from the screen of his computer to the mother and 5 years old girl, Kim Shelby sitting in front of him .

" oh, what do I do ?" Kim's mother asked in tension " please doctor , save my daughter . she's just a little girl . money ? We don't have much but I'll pay you whatever sum you come up with . so I beg of you -"sarah, kim's mom started moving slowly to her knees " help us"

During his 8 years of working as a doctor , Philip had seen this before .The parents begging for their child's lives to be saved when there was nothing that could be done . he felt bad because doctors are meant to save life but there was nothing he could to because the "life" needed came from the almighty, it was his decision whether he would place the "life " in his hands or not.

" ma'am ,please stand up " Philip crotched down to pick her up from the floor " your daughter isn't dying "

Sarah pushed Philip away " what did you say ? She has a condition where she can t remember anything after three hours and what ? You say she isn't dying ? That's as good as death, you see I" sarah beats her chest "have to remind her every three hours that I'm her mother , does this make any sense ?" Sarah had reached her limit and couldn't hold back her tears .

" come on , Kim. We are going home " and with the 5 years old hand In hers , sarah left Philip's office where outside there was a swarm of people gathered around because they were drawn by sarah's sudden outburst. Philip dropped down to his chair and rubbed his temples , this job was really becoming too hard for him to handle.

TEN YEARS LATER

"Kim " her mom called out

15 years old Kim looked back at her mom and smiled "mom, you are back , did you get it ?"

" of course" mom handed Kim her favorite ice cream .

Kim grabbed it and hugged her mom" thank you thank you ". Kim went back to the window and gazer outside as she licked her ice cream.

Sarah tried to hold back her tears " Kim, what is it?, do you wish to go outside too ?"

Kim looked at her mom " that's not it , mom. I completely understand why I can't go out but-" Kim looked back outside and smiled " I just wonder when that next door kid is going to stop giving me that heart sign",

Sarah laughed . she had always wondered if Kim was ever going to have a normal life , was it even possible for her to find love? it was possible but was it possible for her to not forget it ? . right now , she won't think about that . she would just laugh with Kim and joke about that kid next door .
