  "Such a great speech."

I clapped my hands slowly to give a sarcastic effect.

"I wonder how you made that?"

I smiled and grab my glass of wine. If this year could get any worst, then maybe it's this time of the year.

"Anything you would like to say Andy?"

My step-mother or whatever she's called of spoke as if my opinion mattered to her. Well news flash everyone! It doesn't. Not in this home.

"Oh. You want me to say something?"

I took a sip from my wine and continued, "well, the fact that I'm already saying something is quite exquisite."

  "Andy."

My old man warned me about this shaming thing but, as usual I am what I am. I don't need to change myself for these people who cared nothing but their reputation.

"No offence to anyone here or anything, but I just want my point to be clear than the waters."

My twin brother raised his wine glass, encouraging me to speak my thoughts. Such a supportive bastard that he is.

"It seems like you are all blinded by this engagement."

That left the whole room shock, and mad? Maybe. Who would do ngagement party? Tss, such a boring party. They won't even serve us hard drinks.

"Don't you agree?" I asked the man who played me like I was nothing to him. His stares were like daggers and I just smirked on him.

"What is the meaning of this?" His mother asked calmly while killing me with her stares.

"Oh. You haven't told them?" I act surprise though I know it all along. Rejection pains me but I have to do this.

"Tell what?" My sister asked her fiancé. She's shaking in nervousness. Anxious on what words that might come from my mouth.

"Can someone explain to me whats happening?" His dad asked with authority.

"I'm pregnant." I announced. I laughed and raised my glass of wine. They know that him and I were like acquaintances. So it's no secret if I told him about my pregnancy earlier than announced.

Everyone sighed in relief. Oh really?

  "Cheers!"

I motioned everyone to have a toast. And so they did, their face were calm and a relief. Tss. Too early for that, pathetic humans. I shrugged and drink my wine. They say pregnant women shouldn't drink alcohol, but here I am. Sipping this bitter sweet liquid, like a villain on a lovely fairy tale.

"So, who is the lucky guy hija?" My step-mom asked me. Hija? Ew, so cringey. Why hija? Excuse me! We're not close.

Hearing her calling me Hija made winced. That's so weird and disgusting.

"Oh he is just around the corner." I replied with a sweet smile. My brothers were shooking their head like they just heard the biggest joke.

  "Oh." She laughed awkwardly.

"Looks like this is a double celebration." Louisandra, his mother smiled genuinely at me and drop the topic. They continue their discussion about the family's business.

"It's a double celebration in deed." I muttered and smiled.

I glanced at Jericho. Trying my best catch his disbelieving stares. I flashed a sinister smile.

"Congrats, daddy." I mouthed to him.
