A typical beach day, so it seemed. The hot, daytime sun pouring through all windows of a 3-story house. The brisk, warm breeze turned cold at once; a pair of talkative children zoom down the stairs. The warm, slightly sweet, pastry-like smell of pancakes fills the room as anticipations for the day spreads through their minds. Sophie runs towards the picnic basket and hugs it tightly. Her mum smiled admirably at her. A while afterwards, they're mum started to get stressed and after a while she couldn't take it anymore.

"Get into the car!" She shouts hysterically "we are already behind on our schedule!"

After a short 30-minute ride, they are at the never-ending, white sanded beach. The summery, azure blue colour of the sea almost matches the bluish-yet-milky colour of the sky. Sophie's neck length hair becomes soaked causing it to look brown instead of gold. People discard the beach; Sophie stands still, ice-cream in one hand and her best friend , George the stuffed bunny, in another. Her brother Alex is besides her. Together, they watch a tragic scene; becoming paralysed as they realise what is before their eyes.

Hours later, a storm of realisation comes hovering around their heads along with the sirens of ambulances and police cars. As Jack ought to be the more mature one of the both of them, he had to fill the hole in his sister which was left there by their beloved parents. "Sophie is so little, she doesn't deserve all these obstacles that have come our way, i have to help her through all this" He thought to himself. Just this morning they were having the time of their lives, the sudden change of events was shocking. He realised that he had to be there for his sister and take care of her no matter what...
