Ordinarily, I'd love to start the story from my teenage years. But for you to really understand why I turned bad, I'm going to have to brief you on my past, or should I say, childhood.

My name is Merliya Carson. I'm currently fifteen and a half. But before I talk about the present, let's rewind a bit.

I was born in London, in a wealth family. My father is Austin Carson, and my mum, Alicia Carson, one of the best pediatricians in Europe. My dad is the CEO, well, more like cooperate CEO of S.C Group, one of the most influential companies in Europe. He worked with Edward Stewart, a family friend. They both run the company. Edward was recently involved in a plane crush, on his way back from his honeymoon with his wife, Irene. Honestly, I didn't know any of this until I spent a few months New York. So, as I was saying, Edward's wife survived, but was suffering from trauma. Edward on the other hand had been in a coma for the past year and three months.

Due to this, my dad had to travel to New York, to take care of business and keep an eye on Irene.

I'll let the author take it from here. I'll tell my own story when you understand my friendship roots. But, please start from my first day of school in New York.

LONDON, CARSON'S RESIDENCE.

"Mommy, do we have to leave", Liya asked her mother. "I don't want to go, I have friends here."

"Sweetie,"she said and placed Liya on her lap. "I know you don't want to leave, but we have to. Daddy has some business to attend to there".

"What if kids there don't like me?"

"You're my daughter, everyone will love you. And guess what?"

"What?"

"Our new house has a bigger garden".

"Really?",she asked all excited.

"Yes, your father ensured that".

Alicia decided to call her husband to check on him.

S.C Group, Europe headquarters.

Austin was still putting things together when his phone rang. He saw his wife's picture and picked up the phone.

"Hey", Alicia said when he answered the phone.

"Are you okay babe?"

"Yeah, Liya's just worried about you."

"Really?, So, you're not?", He asked jokingly

"Of course I am Austin", she replied while laughing lightly.

"I'll be home soon sweetheart, okay?"

"Sure. Take care of yourself Austin".

" I love you too", Austin replied and hang up.

Just as he hang up, his assistant, Ivan came in.

"Sir, the shipment company called, all the cars have safely been delivered to the garage in New York residence you own."

"Anything else?", Austin asked coldly.

"No sir", Ivan said and was about to leave when Austin spoke.

"How's your wife, Ivan"

"She's doing well sir, thank you for asking."

"You're coming with us to New York."

"Sir, I thought..."

"A good and faithful assistant is hard to find these days Ivan. Don't you think?", Austin interrupted

"It would be an honour to work with you in New York sir", he replied respectfully.

"Great. I've already sent some people to help your wife pack up. Go home to your wife, Ivan. And our flight is in three hours, first class . Don't be late."

"Yes sir",he replied and left Austin's office. Austin packed his stuff, took the elevator down to the ground floor, entered his car and ordered the driver to take him home.

Alicia was making lunch with Liya when the doorbell rang.

"Wait here for me sweetie", Alicia told her daughter and headed towards the door.

"Hey baby", she said to her husband and gave him a kiss. "How are you?".

"I'm okay," he replied and kissed her back. Alicia took his suit and bag to the living room, while Austin went upstairs to freshen up.

After which he came downstairs to have lunch with his family.

Alicia made some egg and crispy patato nest, skillet lasagna and fruit salad for lunch. Alicia dished out some food for Liya and her husband, as well as herself and they began to eat. Austin noticed that Liya wasn't as lively as she usually was and so decided to spark a conversation.

"You know, I got a surprise for you hummingbird"

"Really daddy?", She asked all excited

"Mhm. Wanna know what it is?"

"Can I guess first?"

"Go ahead"

"It's a story book", Liya assumed, taking into account her love for books.

"Mmm, no!", Austin replied.

"Daddy, are you lying?"

"Why would I. Try again", he urged.

"An art set"

"No!"

"I know what it is. Want me to tell you?", Alicia spoke.

"Tell me mommy, please!"

"It's a..."

"Don't say it Alicia", Austin interrupted his wife.

"It's a... Big fuzzy..."

"It's a bunny", Austin finally answered.

"You got me a stuffed bunny?", She asked excitedly, "I wanna see".

"Okay, after lunch.", Alicia told her.

Liya quickly ate her lunch and helped her mother with the dishes after.

"The bunny's in your room", Alicia told Liya after they were done with the dishes. Liya rushed upstairs to her room to take a look at her bunny.

'wow, it really pretty and huge', she thought to herself. She then went downstairs to thank her parents, after which she went to rest upon her parents orders. Alicia decided to go to her room to finish up the rest of the packing.

About ten minutes later, Alicia came downstairs only to find Austin working on his laptop in the hall. She walked towards him, sat on his right and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Still working?,"

Austin wrapped his right arm round her waist before replying." Just finishing up."

"Can't you do it later?", She asked, stood up and sat on his lap.

"Yes" , he replied with his hands on her waist.

"Then", she said and closed the laptop, "focus more on me", she added and kissed him. Austin kissed her back, carried her to their room to finish what they had started.

At about 5:00pm, Alicia woke up only to find Austin staring at her.

"How long have you been awake?", She asked all sleepy.

"Not so long. Liya's awake and has already taken a shower and dressed up."

"Okay. I'll go shower then", she answered and got off the bed.

"Do you want me to join you?"

"Austin, we both know we'd never make it to the airport in time if you did", Alicia said stating truthfully, but as a joke.

Austin laughed to himself and began to dress up, since he had already showered. Within 30minutes, they were ready and drove to the airport. They arrived at the airport at exactly 5:53pm. There, they met Ivan and his wife, passed through the necessary processes and boarded their plane. The plane took off at 6:00pm. It was a seven hour flight, and by the time they arrived in New York, it was 1:00am.

Austin arranged transportation for Ivan's family, and then took off with his own family to his villa. When they arrived at their new home, Liya could believe her eyes. The house really had a huge garden.

"Is this our new home daddy?", She asked as they walked towards the building.

"Yes,"

"It's beautiful,"she said and ascended the few steps in front of the building.

"That it is", Alicia said in agreement while Austin unlocked the door.

Austin let everyone enter the building before he did himself. Alicia turned on the lights inside the building.

"I must say, you really outdid yourself this time Austin."

"I'm glad you all like it." He said with a smile. "Okay, so, there are seven bedrooms, a study, music room, library, a science lab, and and extra large spare room. Oh, and there's also the attic. All bedrooms are on the first floor, library, study and music room on the second floor and the extra room and attic on the third floor.", Austin added. By the time he had said all of this, Liya had already been to all the bedrooms.

"Daddy, please which room is mine?", She asked politely.

"The one painted blue with the huge stickers all over the room."

"Thank you daddy",she replied, took her bags and rushed upstairs.

Liya had a twin bed in her room, with bookshelf on the left, and a cabinet table on the right of her bed. Her wardrobe was next to her cabinet, and the bathroom was opposite the wardrobe. There was a window opposite the bedroom door, with a sofa in front of it. Whilst Liya was admiring her room, her parents had already stated to unpack their belongings. Within two hours, that is, at about 3:30am, they had fully unpacked and carried out the necessary clean ups. Afterwards, they all freshened up, watched a family movie and went to bed.
