I BENT my head down against my two palms. I was choking and sobbing. I'm not embarrassed by how I look like right now. I know this would sound desperate, but damn it! This is not the end of my and Fiore's story.

"Please Fiore, listen to me. I had no idea it wasn't you!" I knelt on my knees, hoping he would hear me.

"Are you serious, Miranda? Do you think I'm a fool to still forgive you after all this?"

I stood back up and almost hugged him. But I was nothing more than a speck of dust in his ferocious hand. While the arsehole that planted all of these things stood there looking out the window. After what he did, he was even able to go sightseeing.

I dashed forwards and attacked Xylon using both of my fists and punched his slender back. "This is all your fault, Xylon! You are a beast. I hate you!"

I noticed his eyes were shut, and there was no indication that he was in any way hurt. He acted as if he was experiencing all of the pain and yet it was fine with him. He feigns as if he didn't care even if we both ruin his childhood friend. That what had happened was all part of his wicked plan.

I burst into tears even more. Because I realised, he had no intention of explaining anything to Fiore.

I got down on my knees once more. This time, it was at Xylon's feet.

‘You're a fool, Miranda! You're going to put yourself down in front of your enemy? Are you really that desperate?’

"Miranda, what are you doing?" Xylon's eyes seem shocked at what I did.

"P-Please, Xyle. I beg you. Tell Fiore that it's not my fault. I had no idea... that it was you... that you had taken..." I place my hand over my mouth. I couldn't even say it out loud. I couldn't believe this jerk had taken my virginity instead of Fiore, my fiance!

Tears streamed down my cheeks. They were like never-ending rivers. Like rain without a rainbow. Like the ocean without hope.

"Stand up, Miranda," he commanded firmly.

"Please, X-Xyle, I beg you..."

"Stop it, Miranda."

I was already deafened when Fiore said, "I will never forgive you, no matter what you and Xylon say. You lied to me. You and my best friend. Miranda, you're such a wh*re."

"Fiore!" I heard Xylon chastised him.

Fiore was unaffected by whatever I say to him. I didn't know it was possible he would say such a thing but he exploded those words, "I've made my decision. I'm not going marry you, Miranda."

My heart sank to the ocean's depths. All of my dreams have fallen apart.

Fiore drew a bag from a cabinet nearby. As if it was ready to be taken away and was just waiting for someone to get it.

"Please, F-Fiore," I begged.

I stood up abruptly to stop him from leaving. "D-Do not abandon me..." I hugged him from behind. "P-Please, Fiore, I love you. I had no feelings for anyone. You're the only one I love. T-These were all mistakes. What you saw wasn't true. I was kissing you. When I closed my eyes, I saw your face. Fiore, it's always you..."

He simply gripped my hands away from him and walked away. My heart and my eyes were on fire, but I still followed him like a pleading child. "F-Fiore, please have mercy. Don't leave me."

Fiore looked straight back at me. I met his handsome face, his regretful eyes intently looking at me. Those eyes I loved the very first time I met him. Those were the same, I know. Yet, there was no spark, no colours. The love that was for me was no longer there. I'm no longer the apple in his eyes. I'm no longer the most precious thing in his life. It was all gone.

"Miranda, I forgive you. You and Xylon. You have the option to remain with him. You should have told me. If you like him, I'll be happy to let you go..."

"I don't like him. I want you, Fiore."

He tucked some of my hair behind my ear. He's still tender and incredibly kind. Fiore's characteristics that I admired.

"But you still cheated on me, Mir. You didn't love me." I shook my head firmly. "You are welcome to stay as long as you want. I'll explain to my parents and to your aunt why this wedding will not work for us anymore."

My chest tightens. It wants to erupt in agonising pain.

Fiore stroked the tear-stained skin on my cheek. "They'll understand. They will not judge you. I'll go for you." He glanced at Xylon who was just there and standing. His jaw was tensed and his fists were clenched. He doesn't have the right to unleash his suppressed anger.

‘God, he's a jerk! He is the demon who caused all of this. Why didn't he say something? Why didn't he just say what was on his mind? His silence was driving me insane. He's a beast!’

"F-Fiore..."

"Goodbye, Mir."

Fiore took a step away from me. Getting further and further away. When I tried to follow him, my feet were already trembling. I was unable to move any longer.

The folded blanket fell on my body as the door closed. The white blanket proved to me that I had cheated on him. The red blood splattered as if it was a painter's brush splattering on a white canvas. And next to that blanket was the red handkerchief which I had previously covered my eyes.

I was willing to give up my virginity to Fiore. He told me that if he was going to take me, he wanted it to be steamy, hot, wild, and sexy. So I decided to undress in our bedroom. I blindfolded myself. I surprised him with my desire to offer myself to him that I care about the most.

But then...

My eyes welled up with tears once more. Fiore is no longer with us. He's no longer there.

"Miranda..."

I was on the verge of bursting when I looked at Xylon. He's still wearing his boxers. His hair was unruly, and his lips were still bright red. If I had known he was the one I was having sex with, I would have bled his lips. I wish I'd bitten it until it was swollen and he couldn't speak.

"You're worse than the beast, Xylon. I hate you. Curse you!"
