Outside of the emergency room,Mindy could not calm herself down.Tears rolled out from her blood shot eyes .The electrical system controlling the rhythm of her heart became rigid.Her heart was pounding massively threatening to break it's ribcage.

Mindy covered her face with grief;The thought of loosing her only daughter tormented her,it shattered her heart into trillions of fragments.

"Doctor what's happening to my daughter? How is she ? She hesitantly asked. The doctor calmed her down by patting on her shoulder. But this did not pay off Mindy was already scared and tensed. This was the last place she ever wanted her daughter to be.

The doctor cleared his throat which made the sobs die down.

"For now your daughter is out of danger, it was very thoughtful of you to bring her here as soon as the symptoms became visible. "He said.

" What was the problem? "She hastily asked."

"Your daughter is suffering from cardiomyopathy it is a chronic disease of the heart muscle in which the muscles is abnormally enlarged, thickened and stiffened. The weakened heart loses the ability to pump blood effectively, resulting in irregular heartbeat also called

arrhythmias

.

"She is going to be okay, right?"

There was a bit of silence that enveloped in the room, suddenly the horse voice broke the silence.

"For the matter of fact , all l could say is that she has to undergo a diagnosis of Barth syndrome,she will be living on machines to monitor her heart"Arching his eyebrows' l can assure you ,she is under our observation and care.'

Mindy made few strides backwards,her back touching the wall,she slid against the wall down her bottom touching the white tires; The pain was unbearable.

She took in a deep breathe as she calmed herself down ,she knew she had to be strong for her daughter.

She hastily went to the doctor wiping her tears that cascaded down her already swollen cheeks."can l see her? "She shattered.

"Yes,sure but control your emotions,mad gather courage he stated as he walked away.

She courageously walked torwards her as she struggled fighting the emotion deep within her heart .The rooms decoration gave an indication of hope.

Mindy was a well refined woman,strong and courageous.In her childhood,she could learn anything effortlessly.when she was fourteen years of age coming from her friends house,she found her home wrecked and ruined :her house was in flames,her family burning mercilessly.

She did not want anything to happen to her daughter, she was the only family she had. She sat beside Marilyn.

She slightly held her hand and kissed her knuckles.raising her other hand she soothingly caressed her soft skin and murmured

"Please get well soon,l promise to take you on vacation,remember l had given you my word." Subtle smile formed on the side of the lips.then tears helplessly ran in her eyes but she hastily blinked it away.

"Mommy is waiting for you,l know this battle is tough for you to fight,but l assure you l will be here for you,please baby be well for mummy's sake."
