Martinez roamed his eyes at the entire venue. The place is packed with guests and most of them, already drunk and are making out.

“Martinez!” Someone called him. Martinez looked at Leo who’s holding a bottle of beer in his right hand and the other was wrapped around a woman’s waist. He raised his eyebrows at the man.

“You’re so late, motherfucker,” Aiden hissed. The fucking birthday boy and his twin. He just rolled his eyes and sat on one of the couch near the pool. Zaiden, Aiden’s twin, gave him a beer and sat with him.

“I fell asleep,” he said then drank the beer.

“Wow! New record! The early Martinez is late,” the surprised Jervis said put his arm around his shoulder.

“Dude, you’re never late unless... there’s a problem,” Aiden said, stating the fact. Everyone in the table agreed with Aiden.

“Hmm where’s Dania? It’s a miracle that that woman’s not with you!” Zaiden said, laughing. Dania is the woman who’s always chasing after him. He can’t do anything, Dania likes him. Feelings can’t stop, unless it stopped by it itself. 

He took a deep sigh. “Mom ordered me to marry her,” he said then drank the beer. Every time he heard his Mom voice, it makes him irritated as fuck. Especially Dania’s face grinning from ear to ear like she won the lottery.

“Wo-woah! That’s too much!” Jervis exclaimed.

“Why?” they asked simultaneously.

“Mom talked to me earlier,” he sighed, his friend is looking at him ready to hear his rants. “I was about to go here when I saw Mom talking with Dania. Then when I went down she immediately asked if I’m a gay. Like what the fuck?! I was about to disagree then she said ‘No more buts! You’ll gonna marry Dania! You’re almost 30 for pete’s sake, Martinez! When will you have a wife huh? And when you will give me a grandchild!?” he mimicked his mother voice.

“Then she made a decision, she’ll arrange me to Dania and that’s final, she added and even threatened me that If I won’t show myself up at the wedding, they’ll freeze my accounts like what the hell?! I have my own company!” he said in frustration.

“I’m sure, Dania did something to get Aunt Ruth to agree,” Leo said. He looked at his side, the woman was gone before. 

“When’s the wedding?” Zaiden asked with his serious face. Zaiden is the opposite of Aiden who’s crazy and loud.

“There will be no wedding. I assure that,” he said and drank the beer once more.

“Dude, you’re fucked up,” Aiden said then drank his beer too. A long silence filled them then he talked again.

“Tsk, tsk, C’mon Lunatics, this is a birthday party not my drama!” Martinez cheered and threw his clothes away, leaving his boxer shorts on and dove into the pool. His friend shook their heads and joined him. Drunk all night, swimming and making out with girls. This is how they forget their problems for a while. He still doesn’t know what to do tomorrow but he’s sure he’ll enjoy this night first.

It’s almost sunrise when he woke up. He immediately got out of his bed then fixed himself. He walked down the grand staircase of their mansion and bid goodbye to their Mayordoma who’s cleaning the living room. So he slept at one of the guest room of Sylvestres’.

He drove his car out of the village. The thought of the marriage still frustrates him and is pisses him off knowing that he can’t do anything about it.

‘No more buts! You’ll gonna marry Dania! You’re almost 30 for pete’s sake, Martinez! When will you have a wife huh?! And when will you give me a grandchild?!’

His mothers’ voice kept on echoing in his mind. This so-so-so fucking fuck! He drove his car faster as if he’s in a race. He’s fuming mad! He looked sharply at the road as if he’s looking at Dania.

‘I fucking want to punch that bitch,’ he mentally said.

He went faster and faster until a girl appeared in the middle of the road. He was going too fast that he wasn’t able to see she was even there! What the fuck!! He was about to stop the car but it’s too late. The loud screams of the girl entered her car as he the sound of the strong smash was heard.

Martinez was unable to do anything but the close his eyes but before she was able to do so, she saw her body slightly flying away due to the force.

What the hell?! His eyes widened as he stepped out his car, trembling in shock. The girl was lying unconscious a few meters away from his car, soaked in her own blood. Fuck! Fuck! He started cussing everywhere as he looked from the left to right, checking if someone saw him.

A little girl meters away stood still as she looked at what was happening. Shock and fear was seen in her face as tears fell off her eyes without her noticing. She must’ve been traumatized by what she saw…

“Hey kid!” Martinez shouted at her, hoping to get her attention. She flinched in shock and glanced at him. He nodded at her, signaling her to come. The girl did not waste a second and ran towards their direction.

“Mom! Mom! Wake up!” the little girl cried as she hugged her mother. Martinez can feel the panic in his heart as it pounded hard against his chest. He doesn’t know what to do.

“What are you staring at?! Bring my Mom to the hospital or else I’ll sue you!” the girl shouted at him. He can see anger and sadness in her eyes… it melted his heart. He was about to carry the woman up but then he remembered something…

“What are you doing mister---” the girl hissed but was immediately cut by him.

“We shouldn’t touch her… we might hit something in her body that might cause her life,” he replied. The kid was confused at what he said but kept her silence. Martinez brought his phone and called 911.

Rescue arrived and he was left with doing nothing. The crew immediately did first aid and carefully carried the woman in a stretcher. Martinez instinctively hopped inside the ambulance, holding the hands of the crying little girl.

“Mister… please tell the driver to go faster please… please go faster. He might catch us,” the girl repeatedly said but Martinez’s mind was too busy trying to process everything that had happened.

His face was blank. He doesn’t know how to react. He had just hit someone with his car and he still ant process what had just happened.

“Stay here, Sir. You’re not allowed inside,” the nurse said as they entered the emergency room. He looked again to the young girl who’s silently crying. 

“Martinez, what happened?!” Theodore, a friend of his, asked worriedly. He the owner of this hospital and at the same time, he’s working a doctor.

“I accidentally hit her, dude,” he shortly replied. Theodore looked at the little girl who’s silently in tears.

“I guess, she’s the daughter of the woman. She’d been calling that woman ‘Mom’,” he said. Theodore nodded his head. Theodore was about to enter the emergency room when a warm-small hands grabbed his. He looked back and his eyes went down to the little who’s still crying.

“Por favor, D-Doc. Please save my Mom, s-she’s the only one I h-have… I-I can’t live without her.” The girl pleaded with teary eyes. “I-If you can’t save h-her. Please,” she pointed Martinez who’s watching them. “Do everything to make that jerk inside of the jail.” She’s sobbing but she managed to be brave. For her mother and for herself. That’s what her Mom taught to her.

“If you don’t do that, I’ll tell my father to set a bomb on every corner of this hospital then make this blast,” she bravely said then she dried up her face. He blinks many times before swallow many times to digest what’s the little girl said, he ordered one of the nurse to clean her up, she’s dirty because of blood.

‘So brave!’ Theodore and Martinez both thought.
