“Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear me? I said, leave me alone! Don’t you dare show up in my face again. I don’t want a stupid secretary like you. From now on, you are fired! Get out!” the CEO shouted angrily and sat down on his Xten office chair.

“Mr. CEO, please I need this job for my family. I will prove to you that I deserve this position. Please, Mr. CEO, give me another chance,” the secretary begged.

“No! I don’t believe in a second chance. Once is enough, did you hear that? Once is enough!!!” the CEO shouted again and kicked the expensive vase near him.

“Remember this, I will never let anyone, any of my employees ruin my reputation and my company because of stupidity. I missed my meeting with the richest man in the country because of your negligence. Because of you, stupid lady, we lost the opportunity! Didn’t you know that? Our company is completely struggling right now, what we need is, rich and powerful investors to save the company from bankruptcy.” The CEO threw the documents on the floor.

“Please, Mr. CEO. Don’t do this to me, I served the company for 3 months already. I did my job in the best way I can. My family needs me,” she said with a trembling voice.

“Those documents are useless now, Gina! I didn’t sleep to make everything smooth when the investors came in. All the presentations, documents were all perfectly done. My responsible employees worked hard and did their part to make everything successful, to get the investors’ trust and save the company.” He turned back, untie his necktie and held his waist. A red-hot lion came into him and shouted once again.

“I’m sorry, Mr. CEO. I didn’t mean it. Please, I need this job for my family,” Gina knelt on the floor and ask him for his forgiveness.

“I don’t care! Huh…” He took a deep breath for a while and laughed at her a bit sarcastically. Seriously? You are saying sorry, Gina? I don’t want to hear that word from you and even anyone here, it won’t take back the opportunity we missed. What I want is, a competent, reliable and responsible secretary. I don’t need you,” he pointed his finger to her.

“Ugh! I hate stupid! I’m sorry but you are one of stupid people whom I didn’t want to work with. So, get your stuffs and pack up. Leave my office and don’t show your face here ever again.”

“Please, Mr. CEO, I’m begging you. I’m so sorry, I didn’t double check your schedule,” Gina apologized while holding the CEO’s hand.

“I said, leave! It won’t change my mind, Gina!” He said and takes off her hand into his. “The door is opened widely; you may now leave my office.”

Gina left the CEO’s office crying. She goes straight to her room and packed up her stuffs. She left her room and walked smartly holding her things. She happily says good bye to her officemates and friends in the company.

Jude noticed Gina and stopped her for a while.

“Hey, Gina! Are you moving somewhere else? From what department you are assigned now? Did Mr. CEO give you another job aside from being his secretary?” Jude asked her positively and he offered to help Gina on her stuffs.

Gina hugged her childhood friend and whispered, “I lost my job, Jude. But it’s okay! I’m fine. I just did a mistake and it affects the whole company,” she said in a soft voice while shedding tears.

“I understand, Gina. I wish, you’ll find another job soon to support your family’s needs. I’ll take you outside and get a taxi. I hope this bill may help you in finding new job.” Jude gave her a small envelope before she gets inside the taxi.

“Thank you, Jude. You’re such a nice friend. I’ll go ahead.”

Jude came back inside while scratching his head and goes straight to the CEO’s office, his best friend, Jeremiah.

“Knock! Knock! It’s me, Jude. Can I go inside?” Jude tried to enter the CEO’s office.

“Come in…” the CEO replied.

Jude saw everything good; the office is clean and proper.

“Is there something wrong, Jeremiah?” Jude tapped Jeremiah’s shoulder.

“Jude, I need a new secretary as soon as possible. That stupid secretary made my lion came out of me. Can you find me the best secretary? This time, I will kick you off in my company if you bring me stupid secretary again. So, please don’t waste the trust I gave you.” Jeremiah threatened his best friend.

“Just give me 2 days to find the best,” Jude uttered.

“I want a new secretary tomorrow morning and that’s final, Jude. Don’t you dare disappoint me or else…” the CEO cuts his words.

“I knew it! I knew it! Or else you’ll forget that I’m your best friend and treat me like your ordinary employee that you’ll fire every time they make a mistake,” Jude continued and laughed at him sarcastically with a bit afraid.

“You are really my best friend, Jude. You’ve been a brother to me since then. You know I can’t do that to you, bro!” Jeremiah gave him a man hug. “Please, find the best secretary for me,” he whispered.

“Okay bro! I promise to bring you the best secretary you never had. So, I’ll go ahead and find the best one,” Jude said then he left the office.

“He’s really my best friend, Jude never failed me in anything I wish. This time, I know he will bring me the best secretary I have ever had in my terms as the CEO of this company,” Jeremiah put his hands on his pockets and sat down on his favorite chair.

After his office work, Jude went to his sister’s university to pick her up. On his way, he accidentally hits a lady.

He immediately gets out of his car and helped the lady.

“Hey bro! What have you done to my professor? Miss, sorry!” Cheryl apologized to her professor and helped her get up.

“It’s okay, Cheryl! Is he your brother? He looks familiar to me. Did we meet earlier?” Chloe asked Cheryl then stared at Jude.

“I’m sorry miss, I didn’t mean to hit you. Are you alright? I’ll bring you to the clinic near here,” Jude showed concern and offered to help Chloe.

“No, I’m fine. Don’t mind me. I’m on my way home. Thank you for your concern. Bye.” She walked away after.

“You know what bro… Miss Chloe is a witty lady. She’s smart and gorgeous. All of the students, male or female, admires her. Her beauty is unique, her personality makes everyone love her. Look! You are immediately being magnetized by her without doing anything.” Cheryl teased her brother.

“No, she looks like Athena, Jeremiah’s ex-fiancé. I think she’s perfect to be Jeremiah’s secretary,” Jude whispered.

“Duh? Do you think she wants to become your best friend’s secretary? I mean, she’s the best professor here, she will not agree with you.” She discouraged his brother.

“I’ll find a way to get her. Before that, let’s get inside the car and let’s go home,” Jude puts his arm around Cheryl’s shoulder.

“Tell me something about Miss Chloe,” Jude told her sister while driving.

“Well, I can say she’s perfect. Because even the rude students in the university loves her. She was able to change them to be better students of the university.”

“Can you tell me where she lives?” Jude asked her like he was interested to the lady.
