“Goddamn it! I don’t have any money at all.” She muttered as she prepared to insert her ATM card into the machine. So, she just held back her anger because there were a lot of people lined up at the ATM booth. After that, she decided to go home and she got into the car and just went home.

She exited and went through the overpass to the old house where she lived. When she went up to the house, she noticed her friend carrying baby Nikki. “Oh, you’re here.” Her friend stated, “Your baby doesn’t have any more milk.” Her friend was worried, as she said.

“Thanks, friend, for caring for the baby. Perhaps I’ll feed him first.” She stated.

“She’s fine, friend. We’re already inside. Maybe the baby will get a cold.” She said it again. “What will you do now?” Her friend inquired once more.

“Perhaps I’ll tell his father.” She stated.

“Even Georgia said I wouldn’t tell Jackson that they had a baby.” She said, “And that pride isn’t important now, what I want now is for his daughter to have a good life.” She added.

“Isn’t he wealthy?” Samara inquired once more with her friend.

“Yes, but gay,” she clarified.

“Ok friend, if that is your decision, I will support you. I have to go my friend, bye.” Her friend stated.

She remembered again as she entered the small room of the house she was renting. Her late friend was perplexed as to why Georgia always returned home in the morning, but she didn’t want to confront her because they had been friends since college and shared no secrets.

But she couldn’t keep quiet any longer, so she asked. She was surprised to find out from her friend. She had met a wealthy man who was very attractive and he asked for a favor from her.

She couldn’t say no, she was still overjoyed. She immediately envied her friend for what she had heard. “He’s gay,” she said, and they both laughed.

He invites her to dinner, and after they eat, they go straight to Jackson condo. He made him sit in a proper chair and told her about pretending to be his fiancée.

“Fiancée?” In disbelief, I inquired.

But Georgia claims it’s not true because it’s the reason she chose to stage the fake relationship. She’s talented in the theater— so, they agreed to have a dramatic breakup for him not to be forced to marry off first. He is still in the process of moving on. And they have an agreement that Jackson will give her money. He was preceded by the news that he was getting married and his parents’ gut feeling that he was not a real man. What if Ronald’s parents discover that he is not a real man? Miller Enterprises no longer provides her with services.

The worst-case scenario is that his brother will be the next heir to Miller’s Enterprises.

His brother was skilled at squandering money, which he had inherited from their grandfather. While telling her friend the story, she always nodded to his friend.

“Athena, did you know that there was a time when I thought I had already fallen for him and tried to seduce him?” Georgia stated.

“And you seduced him?” She inquired.

“Yes,” Georgia said with a cold expression on her face.

“Why are you depressed and unhappy?” Athena enquired of a friend.

“It was the worst sex I’d ever had.” Georgia responds.

“He expresses regret. I assured him that everything was fine. Because we were both drunk,” she explained, “but he was still very sorry and worried that I might get pregnant. And what I said was impossible because I wasn’t having fun.” Georgia stated.

“But he is the reason why those who are raped become pregnant,” Jackson explained.

“I assure you, it is simply impossible.” Georgia stated.

They did follow through on their plan to have a dramatic breakup, and her parents believed them. She refused to accept the check they discussed, and she even hid it. She was pregnant as a result of this, and that is how she left. She never appeared again. So that her beloved man’s life would not be disrupted.

Athena forced her friend to tell Jackson the truth, but she was adamantly opposed. Her due date had arrived, and sadly, her friend died shortly after giving birth. After her friend died, she was the one who stood as the child’s parent. Georgia had some money left, but it had all been spent.

“Just a moment, baby, I’ll cook,” she said, taking the baby’s thumb and placing it in his mouth. She bathed and rested after feeding the baby.

She lay down thinking about how she would approach Jackson Miller and tell him they had a child with Georgia. She was fast asleep.

She decided to go to Miller Enterprises and speak with Jackson Miller first thing in the morning. When she was waiting for the bus, her friend saw her.

“Come with me, friend,” her friend suggested.

“Thank you, but no, I’m too shy.” She said this with embarrassment.

“Go ahead and take it.” Samara gave Athena the money for their taxi ride to Jackson Miller house.

“Thank you very much, friend,” Athena said.

“Nothing, my friend. Only for you and the baby,” Samara replied.

“Thank you friend for your concern.” She said.

Athena took a small piece of paper and read it while she and baby Nikki were on the bus. On that small piece of paper with Jackson Miller address written on it, she traded it for her friend Georgia belongings.

“You will meet your father,” she told baby Nikki, despite the fact that the child did not understand what she was saying. “Baby, maybe your father will accept you because your mother said he is kind,” she continues.

“And maybe I’ll just apply for a babysitter, because I don’t have a job. And I’m still able to be with you because I adore you, baby.” She smiled as she talked to the baby. She also kissed her on the cheek.

When she got off the bus at the stop, she hailed another taxi and rode again, and told the taxi driver the address.

Baby Nikki was quiet during the ride, and they arrived at the address she specified in just a few minutes. When she got off at the opposite end of the townhouse compound, she was taken aback when she saw a large house, a large garden, and a large gate.

She was the first to peek. If there was someone there before she rang the doorbell, a security guard arrived when she rang the doorbell.

“She had a lot of money.” She was surprised when someone spoke in front of her while she was whispering in her mind.

She was not paying attention to the guard. “Miss, what do you require?” Inquired by a security guard.

“Does Jackson Miller live here, sir?” She inquired.

“Indeed, miss.” The guard responded. “What do you need from Sir Jackson?” the guard inquired of Athena.

“I need to be able to speak to Jackson, because I have something important to say.” She stated. While she was talking to the guard, there was a nice car while she was still in front of the gate.

A large man in the car noticed her, and he did not match Georgia's description of the man who got out of the car. But he’s also a good-looking guy. He completely disregards her.

So she yelled. “Let’s talk, Jackson,” she said. As a result, the man came to a halt and approached her.
