I figured out I had my powers when the building exploded.

My name is Anala and I'm a supernatural. A Supernatural is someone who isn't exactly human. They can be half human and half something else. I'm half human but I don't know what the other half of me is. I'm not a demigod because both my parents are human.

I was outside in the treehouse my uncle built for me and Adrien when I was annoyingly distracted by Adriens shouting.

"Anala! Time for dinner."Called out my twin brother Adrien.

  "Coming!" I called back.

I made my way to the opening on the floor of the treehouse which was the only doorway. I had to climb down the ladder to get to the ground and only then can I make my way inside. "What were you reading this time Anala?" My mother asked as she saw me picking at my mashed potatoes.

"I don't know, the usual." "And what would the usual be?" I could tell she was soon going to give up on me by the way she had said it. "I don't know, it changes." "Depending on what? "Stuff." "Hey mom can me and Anala go to the old storage house after lunch?" I gave Adrien a thankful look as he saved me from the questions of my mother. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom but sometimes she asks a little too many questions. "Sure." After lunch me and Adrien took our bikes out of the garage and rode off towards the old storage house.

We lived in a small town in LA and most people stayed on the big side. Not many people knew the little town of Moperville was here. My family and I had always lived here. It was home.

To get to the old storage house it normally took us around 20 minutes to get there on bike so when we got there we were relatively tired which is why we made a fort so we can rest.

10 minutes into the ride we took our first break by stopping at the beach.

5 minutes went by and we decided to leave and continue our ride.

When we arrived the air smelled of oil as it always did. I got goosebumps and realised I also smelled smoke. "Do you also smell the smoke, Anala or is it just me?" I could tell Adrien was somewhat panicked. "Definitely not just you" I was starting to panic a lot now." What should we do?"

The rational part of my brain was screaming at me to run but the curious part was telling me to check it out. "Adrien, what should we do?" I was scared and couldn't think straight but I knew my brother would know what to do. "I don't know." That didn't make me feel any better.

As quick as lighting a force so strong pushed me and Adrien back sending us flying. I landed with a hard thud and Adrien landed next to me. My head was in so much pain and I couldn't see clearly but I could tell the building had exploded.

I looked to my right and there was Adrien unconscious.

I could make out the fact that the fire was closing in on us and there was a storage house behind us. We were cornered.

I tried to get up and was surprised to see I could get up.

I felt a tugging sensation in my gut and the need to lift up my arms. I couldn't stop it.

The next thing I knew I was controlling the flames.

I turned around and saw Adrien standing up slumped as if he had fallen asleep standing.

He too was controlling something but it wasn't the flames. He was controlling the water in the lake behind us.

He put out the fire as fast as it had started.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped. I looked around but I didn't see Adrien.

I was scared to look behind me but when I got the courage to do so I saw a humanoid thing. It had light green skin, brown hair and eyes. It was definitely male.

"Who are you?" The look on my face probably gave up the fact that I was terrified.

"Oh, I'm Espin, I'm a Eastern Tree Elf and I'm here to take you to Camp Castaway where you will begin your training." Espin said.

"Camp what? Training for what? How are you an Elf? How did I control fire?" I had many more questions.

"Camp C A S T A W A Y," He spelled out each letter as if I was some outer space alien who doesn't know English. "training to be a warrior, I was born an Elf, I'm glad you found your power. Any more questions Anala?"

"How do you know my name?"

"I was sent to retrieve you from the head counselor and manager of Camp Castaway."

  "I-uh."

"All will be explained there. Now we really must get going."

I couldn't believe he actually expects me to go with him. I didn't even know him and I needed to find Adrien.

Espin grabbed my arm and yanked me behind him towards a small 4 person boat.

"Espin, stop!"I had to find my brother. "What? Why? No, we have to keep going and fast!"I could tell he was persistent and wasn't going to give up easily.

"I need to find Adrien my twin brother." "Oh don't worry about it he is scheduled for tomorrow." "What does that mean?" "It means that I have to come back here tomorrow to pick up Adrien. He will be safe during the night." I knew Adrien could survive the night but I was still worried. What if something attacked him? Many things can happen during the night I eventually gave in and let Espin take me on to the boat. "We should be at Camp Castaway in 4 hours." He said it with too much enthusiasm and it scared me. "4 hours!?" I yelled. "Yes 4 hours." And with that Espin revved the engine and the boat took off as I drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up I had a big headache. I didn't know why but then Espin told me that when the waves would hit the boat I would smack my head against the side. I looked out the boat and realized we were on an island. It was a quite large island. Espin then explained that on this island was Camp Castaway. Usually when I imagined a camp I imagined someone from a movie or like Camp Half-blood from Percy Jackson but definitely not this. The camp was surrounded by a hill which Espin told me was Hidden Hill which would cover up the camp so mortals couldn't see the camp and discover it. When you went on top of Hidden Hill you could see the whole camp "I wish Adrian was here to see this." I was starting to get really worried about my dumb brother. We walked all the way down the hill and the first thing you saw was a big 2 story blue house with a golden white trim around the window and the door. Espin explained to me that the house was called The Big House and it was like a meeting place for the camp counselors to talk and it was a lounge for the counselors but campers were occasionally in there. We kept walking and on our left was what everyone called the unknown cabins which was where people who don't know what their powers are go, and on our right was the dinning hall which is where everyone eats. A little further down the road was the armory, the training arena and the forge which I guess I would enjoy with the fire power kids We made a right and saw the running track to our left and below that was the riding arena. Espin made another right turn and we had the stables to our left. Next to the stables was the climbing wall. Behind the climbing wall was the volleyball court and my least favorite part, a pond. Water and fire didn't go well which didn't make sense because I was fire and Adrien was water and we were perfect for each other. Espin and I followed a little path back to the Big House and we were back on the main path. We walked down the main path again and made a right turn onto another extra path. We passed the dinning hall and entered a clearing surrounded by cabins making a big horseshoe shape. In the middle of all the cabins, there was an amphitheater and a campfire. Espin took me to a large maroon building with white pillars and a window next to the door. “This is your cabin, Cabin 5”. On the door was a fire symbol carved into the wood and a number 5 above it. Espin explained how everyone got sorted into a cabin according to their magic and how there are 17 different kinds of magic such as Light, Ice, Water which I believe is Adrien's magic, Life, Earth, Time, Tech, Fire - which is my magic - , Wind/Air, Dark, Death, Lightning, Shadow, Crystal, Sound, Dream, and Metal. “Why don't you go on inside, meet your cabin mates and get settled in. I'm sure they will help you.” I wasn't sure about that though because if there was anything I knew about fire was that it's wild and unpredictable. I opened the door and went in.
