“ I've come to you today with an offer, I'd like to have your daughter as my surrogate mother. I know it's a lot to ask but my pack needs someone to carry them into the

further when i pass and since i'm no longer or have time for relationships why not just have a surrogate.”

Francis said.

“ Why my daughter?” he asked calmly, sipping from his cup of freshly brewed coffee.

“ Your daughter has a beauty unlike any other, she has rare eyes, hair, lips. I believe we would make the perfect pup.

“Hmmm”

christopher replied dryly, taking one last sip before placing the coffee cup on the table in front him.

“ i admire you and i thank you for coming all this way but i would have to deny, my daughter is beautiful but she is not a shell to carry babies if its alright i'll take my leave.’’

Christopher stood up, dropped a couple of dollars on the table and left.

A COUPLE HOURS LATER.

Klaira

“ Dad, you're back and just in time for lunch, moms making our favourite pasta.”

“ Really, is she now?”

My father made his way over to my mother and placed a long hard kiss on her lips. The kind of kiss you give someone when you're about to leave and fly to another country.

They both speak softly with each other before I cut their conversation short.

“ Are we going to eat soon, or are you going to talk bad about me while I set the table?”

“ We weren't talking about you sweetheart, we were talking about Nate, who is always late for lunch when we invite him.”

I heard Nate, my Beta scuff while entering the kitchen.

“ Take a seat already will you, Luna made usher famous pasta.”

Nate took a seat next to me and smiled.

A couple minutes into having lunch and laughing at dads horrible jokes I felt the hairs on my neck raise. It's my wolf's Amy's special gift. She can sense when something is wrong from a mile away.

'Somethings wrong Klaira, something bad is about to happen.’

“Calm down Amy, I'm sure it's nothing, it could just be a rogue or something near our pack grounds.”

“ no K, it's, it's something else.”

“ honey is everything ok you stopped eating.”

My father called me.

'` yeah it's Amy she thinks son….’

Before I could finish my sentence we all got the message, our pack is under attack. Dad jumped to his feet and so did mom and Nate. He ran to the front door to see wolves fighting against wolves.

His eyes paused, it was like they were glued to one thing and one thing only, the big brown wolf standing outside our door. Dads eyes were glued to him and his eyes were glued to me.

“ITs him, it's Alpha Francis. Take her inside and protect her.”

“ Who, who is he, who is Alpha Francis, Dad no please.”

I screamed and screamed as my mother dragged me towards the stairs.

As we reached the top of the staircase I heard my father scream out in pain. My mother couldn't help the mate bond and ran to his side. I stood rooted to the top of the stairs watching as they fought side by side until they both hit the floor.

“Nakupenda”

My father screamed constantly to me and my mother as the big wolf pulled at different parts of his body.

“Nakupenda.”

I screamed as I watched the light fade from their eyes.

At that moment everything had seemed to stop, it seemed as though time itself had stopped as i watched my home, the people i call family all vanished before my eyes. There was blood everywhere, bodies everywhere it was horrible, it was red.

A loud roar brought me back to the reality I'm currently living in, his face brown, eyes going between yellow and black. Francis, the wolf that sluttered my pack.

I crawled towards my room as quickly as my body would let me but I wasn't quick enough. He was right behind me standing inches away.

Nate came out of nowhere, biting down hard into Francis' stomach , sending him over the balcony. He grabbed me by the hand and we ran down the stairs and out the house, we ran as fast as we could until Nate couldnt anymore.

I placed his hand over my shoulder and helped him inside the gym where we could hide out until they were gone. He ran his hand over my face, my hands, and my stomach making sure I was ok.

“ They are coming.”

Amy warned.

I tried pulling Nate up for us to go but he wouldn',t he just sat there.

“ GO, run and don't stop running, never stop running.”

“Nate, no please get up, come with me please.”

“K.’’

He pulled my forehead against his, closed his eyes and sigh.

“REmember me, remember us and remember your family. Let us be the reason you fight to live, let us be the reason you fight, Now Run”

A tall strapped man burst through the gym doors with a handful of wolves behind him, Nate squeezed me through a hole we hadn't gotten around to fixing and I watched as he stood to his feet switching back to his wolf form.

The last thing I heard was “ Kill him.”

Before I took off running, I ran and ran until I couldn't any more , I had to because they were coming. He was coming. I tried changing to Amy but she was too scared, she wasn't allowing it.

I stopped as I reached a nearby cliff, hoping I had lost them but I didn't.

“ Come with us and you will live.”

“ i will never come with you, i rather die than join your pack,”

I heard a strong voice bombing from behind the group of men that had caught up to me.

“Klaira, you're even more beautiful in person. I'm sorry it had to be this way but if your father had just…”

“ I will never come with you.’

“ i will have you, because you have nowhere else to go.’’

My feet stumbled against a rock as I took a step back.

“ Now stop your foolishness and come with me.”

“ I, Will, Never, Come, With, YOU.”

The wind rushed by and I closed my eyes and jumped.
