OMAR'S POV

"Feet off the table, Omar!" Ma barked.

"Yes, Ma'am," I replied mockingly, removing my feet from the desk.

Ma ground her teeth together, obviously frustrated with my sarcastic response but unable to hit me in front of the principal. She counted to ten and then sighed. " What did Omar do this time, Mr.Miller ?"

"Speaking the truth," I answered in an innocent voice instead of Mr.Miller. "And chucked a brick through Mrs Smith's car window. But she did practically ask for it."

Ma pinched the bridge of her nose and ignored my second statement. "Speaking the truth to whom?"

"That raghead." My tone was bitter and crossed as I remembered her, and my face turned into an expression so menacing, even the principal moved from my face.

"I presume you mean Yasemin Ibrahim ?" Mr.Miller's tone was reprimanding and practically worshipful. "She is a straight-A grade student Mr.Faris and extremely well-behaved." Mr.Miller was cut by my mother.

Ma suddenly hit me across the head before she said, "She has a bright future ahead of her, quite unlike you at this point. Instead of saying nasty things to her, you should look up to her and take a leaf out of her book."

"I said that I told the truth not that I said nasty things to her," I smirked at both the principal and Ma.

"Mr.Faris. You are in my office. Obviously, to you, the two things are mutually inclusive, or you would not be sat where you are right now!"

"I'm sorry, Sir, I don't know what you mean by 'mutually inclusive'."

Ma looked at me in a disappointment. "It means the same, Stupid!" Ma shouted.

"This is exactly what I mean! You have great potential, Mr.Faris, but you squander it and use it to make trouble. I've had it up to here." He slammed his hand down on the desk. "I am not going to punish you anymore because you know that throwing bricks through teachers' windows is wrong, and I know that suspension will not work. Omar, as much as I hate to 'give up' on a student, I cannot try to teach the un-teachable. Consider this your last warning."

"Last warning until what?" I asked suspiciously.

"Expulsion," Mr Miller answered flatly, and Ma gasped.

I rolled my eyes, not at all deterred, and stood up. "Thanks, Mr M. it was Nice doing business with you." And then I strolled out of the office.

"I told you not to call me, Mr M!" Mr Miller yelled after me, his face turning an unnatural shade of puce.

After exiting the school, I got in Ma's black BMW as we both remained silent before Ma broke the silence.

"Raghead!?" Ma broke the silence. "I thought I taught you better," Her face fell, "Bullying that beautiful orphan with such a hideous nickname is something that is unforgivable especially if it comes from a guy from her own ethnicity."

"Whatever." I turn away from her, putting on my sunglasses to hide my eyes.

"I will let your uncle deal with you," Ma said.

***********************

A week later,

Knock, knock, knock.

"Come in," I said, noticing my uncle coming into the house as I greeted him.

"let's talk about the sheikh's daughter." I coughed than sat up straight, "I know you don't get along with Yasemin, but you will have to."

Omar rolled his eyes, waving his hand as if telling him to stop, "I should have seen it coming, Ma doesn't waste a minute, does she."

Omar nodded, "If it bothers Ma that much, then I will stop calling her Raghead, but I can't make others stop."

"I don't care about that, I came here because I need help with something else, and I will give you that beach house in California that you wanted without any negotiation plan or any percentage," He sat straight, I narrowed my eyes, "You want me to give you both my kidneys or something- because I am a rare blood type, if that's the case-"

"The sheikh's kids are being sent to their legal guardian."

"Wonderful out of context information." I huffed.

"I came here because I want you to marry the sheikh's only daughter, Yasemin." He said plainly. I frowned thinking I heard it wrong or maybe this was some cheat code.

"I'd spit water if I was drinking it." I said, then asked again, "You want me to marry Raghead in exchange for the California beach house,"

"Yes." My uncle got up and threw an envelope in front of me. I opened it and took out the picture in it, "Collen Hillington."

"This asshole is the legal guardian's nephew, and he has been stalking the sheikh's daughter everywhere, and we presume he wants her inheritance," My uncle gritted his teeth, "He is obsessed to a psychotic illness point I must emphasize, besides – the Hillington is the sheikh's enemies, they will hurt Yasemin, and it's to get back at sheikh

Allah yerhamo

."

"So what is marrying her to me going to solve?"

"You are the only man I can trust, Collen Hillington will steer clear of her since he is afraid of you and he wouldn't approach her if she got married to you, I want you to marry her, for some time till the legal guardianship is transformed back to her aunt, if you want to dissolve the marriage later it's up to you."

"You're kidding me, right?." He looked at his uncle with a dropped jaw, then shook his head, "I am only seventeen and beside Ma will not approve,"

"You take it or leave it, Omar, I don't care, you want the beach house- you marry Yasemin."

"Yasemin? Uncle Nasser what if I give you this- I will go to Collen Hillington and tell him to steer away from her and to never approach her for you in exchange of the beach house?"

he raised a brow, he shook his head, "I can't take more risks, besides we can't trust their legal guardian if the oldest sibling is married then her inheritance will be given to her and Collen Hillington will steer away from her and the legal guardian will have to give them all back to their aunt,"

Omar stayed quiet for a while; Uncle Nasser sat on the chair, "The sheikh

Allah yerhamo

was a good person, and so was his wife and I already talked to your Ma and she agreed," He said.

Omar shook his head, "Uncle Nasser, I understand what you're worried about but-"

"There is no ifs and buts; You want to get out of this house and take the beach house then. You will marry her."

I got up, "I'll think about your ridiculous offer while you can think about my wise one." I turned around and left the living room.
