Chapter 1

*Pant, pant* “Almost there it's just going to take 30 more minutes!” The boy says running and he stops realising that it’s going to take 30 minutes. “Ugh! Why didn’t I just take the bus? This exercise isn’t worth it if I’m going to be there by midnight. Brianna, why didn’t you wait for me?” The boy said as he walked into town he saw giant and small buildings that were red, yellow and blue. There were people everywhere, on the streets, waving out to other people, people in line waiting for a bus. There was also a big festival in town. “I guess I could stay. I have been walking for a while.” The boy ran to the festival.

“Hello young man, what's your name? A lady in a pink kimono asked.

“My name is Micheal.” Micheal replied.

“That’s a nice name. I hope you have a lovely time at the festival.” The lady says and she walks away. Micheal went around the corner of one of the buildings and saw two people beating someone up.

“Hey what are you two doing?” Micheal asked angrily.

“None of your business, kid!” One of the people said. He was wearing a blue shirt and a leather jacket with jeans on.

“Yeah, beat it!” The other person said. He was wearing the same things as the first person. The second bully threw a rock at Micheal and it hit him in his eye. Micheal fell and went silent. “Oh, is someone crying because I hit him with a rock?!” The second bully laughed. The bullies kept kicking the person they were beating up.

“Stop please!” The kid said crying.

“Shouldn’t have ran into us kid.” The first bully continued to kick him.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean it!” The kid cried out.

“Do you know how many kids we kill that are like you?” The second bully said with a big grin on his face.

“K-kill..?” The kid was terrified. Just then Micheal woke up and headbutted both of the bullies on their backs, knocking them into the walls of the buildings around them. Micheal then grabbed the kid by their hand and started running with him.

“Where are we going?” The kid asked.

“Don’t worry those people won’t hurt you anymore. I have a secret hideout we can go to.” Micheal said as he took the boy into a forest and they started swinging from tree to tree into a bunker.

“W-where is this?” The boy asked worriedly.

“Don’t worry little guy I won’t hurt you.” Micheal said, putting his hand on the kid’s shoulder.

“Then how come you were moving so fast?” The boy asked, slapping Micheal’s hand away.

“Hey kid I was trying to protect you from the people who were beating you up! Sorry for trying to be a good human!” Micheal said angrily.

“Well maybe good humans need to ask the victim what they want.” The boy said, turning around.

“Don’t tell me that you were enjoying it…” Micheal said backing up.

“S-so what if I was?” The kid said blushing. When the kid blinked Micheal was gone. “What?” The kid was confused but then saw the hideout’s door open.

“I’m not going to judge,” Micheal thought to himself. “Ok… I’m even further than I was before I saved that kid! Damn it.” Micheal has a great sense of hearing and Micheal heard a little girl cry for help and ran to her direction as a looming presence could be sensed. Micheal stopped running as soon as he felt it. “Who’s there?” Micheal yelled confused. Micheal then saw who it was and went into a fighting stance. The person giving off dark energy had a big black trench coat. A beam got shot at Micheal and Micheal started to glow a little bit.

“Hey everyone, a fight is going down over here!” A civilian shouted. A couple seconds later a whole crowd of people were watching the fight.

“This isn’t good, they'll get hurt.” Micheal thought to himself. The person with dark energy shot beams at the civilians and then launched himself at Micheal. Micheal didn’t have enough time to get out of the way so he just closed his eyes and heard the screams of the innocents dying. Micheal waited for the impact of the dark energy guy but nothing happened. Micheal was then transported into his mind.

“Hello Micheal!” The dark presence spoke.

“How- how do you know my name?” Micheal was terrified he didn’t know what was going on.

“I know your name because I am you Micheal.” The dark presence replied.

“What?” Micheal barely had any energy to fight back or even talk back. Just then Micheal was transported back to the real world surrounded by cops.

“Put your hands up!!” One policeman yelled. Micheal looked at the ground and saw so much blood he thought he was about to throw up. “Did you hear me? Hands in the air!” The police were getting angry. Micheal didn’t know what to do so he used his super speed to get away from the cops.

“How did a day that was supposed to be fun and exciting turn to this?” Micheal thinks as he fades into the dark forest.
