“Who touched you?!”

Ana shivered at the question. Her torn dress and tear stains on her cheeks were enough to tell that something untoward had happened. She could feel the goosebumps on her body. Witnessing his devilish side was something she always avoided. She was afraid to look into his eyes.

When he didn’t get an answer from her, Ernouf brooded at her with a thunderous voice, “Look at me and answer!”

She quickly lifted her head, not wanting to make him furious anymore and meet his flaming crimson eyes. “B-but nothing h-happened,” she stuttered.

His face turned sour from her reply. He knew ‌she said that only to refrain him from getting furious, but how could he let someone touch something which was claimed by him? His jaw tickled as he imagined someone touching her body, inappropriately.

He advanced to her, which made her venture back in fear. Seeing her stepping away, he halted and looked at the inferior creature behind him.

“Who?” he asked the omega, the lowest-ranking wolf of the pack.

“Master, it was Rendall.”

Ernouf closed his eyes, trying to calm down himself which was impossible. “Summon him here.”

“N-now?”

The sun had set long back. Shadows covered the woods, but it didn’t matter when the wolf was out for his avenge.

“NOW!” He yelled, looking at him, making the creature tremble and rush out of the house.

Ana squeezed her eyes in regret, dismayed at how things were turning out. She didn’t want to divide the pack. Although, what Rendall did was inadmissible. Gathering her courage, she opened her eyes and looked at Ernouf, who was already staring at her.

“Why you are doing this for me?” she asked, puzzled, as she was just a human slave for him.

He advanced towards her again and, like previously; she stepped back. But this time he didn’t stop and continued walking toward her until she hit her back on the wall. She slowly tried to sneak away from the side but he stamped his hand on the wall, making her standstill.

She gulped in fear looking at his already crimson eyes turning redder. Blinking several times, she tried to put herself together, not wanting to collapse in front of him. Her question was still unanswered, but at his moment all she wanted was to stay away from him. She was scared, wondering what he might do to her in anger.

“Why are you scared of me?” he sighed, tired of her running away from him.

Listening to his softened voice, she looked at him in a puzzled manner. She couldn’t comprehend what happened to him suddenly, but this was the first time he spoke to her gently. The blazing red eyes were back to normal.

“I-” She opened her mouth to speak, but no voice came out. The words stuck in her throat. Failing, she closed her lips again.

She saw him move closer to her face. Shutting her eyes close, she sensed his hot breath on her supple lips. The sound of his exhalation was enough for her to know how hard he was trying to calm down.

“Master, Rendall is here.”

She opened her eyes, only to see him still staring at her. Her eyes drew towards Rendall, who looked at her coldly.

Ernouf, who hadn’t broken his eye contact with Ana until now, titled his head towards the omega. “Leave!” he said in an authoritative tone.

The submissive creature bowed one last time before leaving the three alone in the hall. An eerie silence enveloped the people in the hall. Ana had stopped breathing as the tension in the atmosphere was making her anxious. She glanced at Ernouf, who was glaring at Rendall. When she looked at Rendall, her eyes met the blue eyes despising her.

Feeling the constant gaze on himself, Rendall turned towards Ernouf, softening his gaze, and asked, “You summoned me?”

The politeness in his tone made it difficult for Ernouf to take the decision against him. The bond they shared was more than the relationship between an Alpha and Beta. But he had to punish for the unforgivable crime Rendall had committed. Smiling slyly at him, he said, “Let’s talk over a cup of tea.”

Rendall knitted his brows in confusion. It was strange of Ernouf to have tea at this hour. Nonetheless, he agreed with a nod.

At the table, Ernouf said, taking a sip of tea, “How much do you care about me, Rendall?”

“I owe you my life, Ernouf.”

He smiled dryly at his response. “Then I presume you are aware of how much I am possessive about my stuff.”

Rendall nodded, still confused about the situation.

Ernouf shifted his gaze towards Ana as he asked, “Why did you touch her?”

Rendall frowned, wondering if that was why he was called here? For a mere human slave? The bond Ernouf was sharing with her made him envy the woman. He was simply waiting to teach her a lesson and found the right opportunity by moon goddess grace.

“Is that why you called me? For a filt-”

Before he could complete the sentence, Ernouf used his sharp, elongated claw and cut the index finger of Rendall. The hall echoed with the scream of agony. Rendall squeezed his eyes in pain as the cut from the werewolf’s claw on the human body pained extremely. And he was in his human form.

“No one touches what is mine. This will engrave in your tiny brain and remind you every time you think of touching her,” Ernouf sighed, being tired of repeating to people, warning them to keep their filthy hands off his belongings.
