Finally, Ruth Bennett has graduated from Penn High University with her best friend Tory John and today, they are ready to explore the world to see what it has to offer. Though graduation has just ended, it was still too early for her to go back to her apartment, therefore, she decided to hang out with Tory at the graduation party organized by her classmates to say goodbye to everyone. At 6 pm, she changed from her graduation gown and into her elegant pink mermaid dress, put on some light makeup, tied her auburn hair into a bun, and headed out to the Penn National Stadium's conference room at Bay Avenue to join Tory and the rest of the gang for the party.

As Ruth stood in front of her apartment and hailed a cab, the cool night's wind blew across her face making her feel relaxed and refreshed as she prepared herself for what is to come. After 5 minutes, she was finally able to hail a taxi to her destination. As she boarded the cab, she told the driver the address to the stadium and paid him his fare in cash. Throughout her journey, she kept thinking of what she would like to do after the party ends and is back to her old life again.

After what seemed like a long drive, Ruth finally arrived at the stadium and without hesitation she strode into the conference room. While there, she scanned the room and saw many of her classmates, some of them who ignored her while some don't mind her presence at all. To the far right of the room, she spotted Darren, one of the boys who had a long-standing crush on her to whom she had been consistently denying his affection. She quickly turned her head hoping that he did not spot her as she did not want to talk to him tonight. To her dismay, he had already spotted her at the door and couldn't take his eyes off of her as he saw her as the only beauty in the room.

Ruth was tall and slim with an elegant figure and for her petite body whatever she wears makes her look stunning, she had the bluest eyes that when you stare at them you feel like you're swimming in the ocean, auburn hair that complemented her light skin and in the light that illuminated in the room, she looked like a goddess. As Darren continued to stare, Ruth became increasingly uncomfortable and as he begins to walk towards her, out of nowhere came Tory in the nick of time and pulled her away before he can say hi to her. Upon seeing Tory, Ruth was relieved she eyed her best friend up and down as she too was looking exceptionally stunning. Tory had on a red maxi dress embelished with rhinestones that complimented her curves beatifully and in it, she looked like a famous celebrity. As the two girls looked at and compliment each other, they walked over to the bar and ordered two martinis for starters as they did not plan on getting drunk tonight. After receiving their drinks, they moved over to one of the seats, sat down and began sipping it quietly. After a minute passed, Ruth asked Tory out of the blue " did you bring a date tonight?" After hearing what she said Tory looked at Ruth in shock and replied," no I didn't but I hope to get one at least for tonight, I'm not sure how it will go after this but I'm keeping my fingers crossed." She then asked Ruth " How about you?" Ruth responded," Nah, I'm not looking, my Mr. Right has to find me first but until then I plan to keep chaste and away from all the scumbags." After what she said both friends bursted out laughing which caused a few heads to turn around and look at them wondering what's so funny that would cause them to laugh out loud like this.

As the night progressed and many collegues were dancing to the music that the DJ was playing, some of the students who were dancing together as a couple were actually together while some were dancing as friends and the rest dancing together by themselves were single and both Tory and Ruth were no stranger to the single person's club. They both decided to dance together for a while as they were the only two people sitting for themselves while everyone else was dancing, socializing and having a good time. As soon as they got up, their favorite song begun to play and they excitedely made heir way to the center of the dance floor and begun dancing without a care in the world or concious of who was looking at them. While dancing Ethan Thorp came up to Tory and asked her to dance, Tory gave Ruth a surprised look as she knows too well that Ethan has been her crush since grade school and she did not have the courage to go up to him and let him know her feelings and was too shy to even say hi. As she looked at Ruth, Ruth nodded her head giving both parties the go ahead to dance. As Ethan took Tory away she headed to the bar for another drink and proceeded to the corner of the room to sit down and watch her friend and Ethan on the dance floor. After watching them for five minutes, Ruth's mind wondered off thinking about what she'll do next starting from tomorrow, right then and there she started thinking about her career and what she would like to do in the working world, she had studied to be a secretary and had aced all her courses, she had hands on training in the field and will do well once employed, from there she made up her mind as to which companies she will send her resume to. After what seemed like a long while, she looked for Tory and Ethan on the dance floor but they were nowhere to be found she also called Tory but her phone has been switched off therefore, being that it was already past midnight out of respect she said goodbye to everyone and took a cab and headed home. Formulating a new plan in her head, after Ruth reached her apartment she made a list of things that she wants to accomplish, vowing to herself to start the very next day. With that she changed her clothes, took a shower and headed to bed making a promise to contact Tory the next day. Too tired to open her eyes after closing them she wispered to herself tomorrow is a new day with a new beginning and I'll begin working on my list after that she fell into a deep sleep.
