Why would you go for the a**hole whose treatment of you borders abusive instead of the SHINING ANGEL THAT IS the second lead? Did the script writer's brains fail to work? In what world is DV good? The relationship is completely unhealthy, and they just drag an innocent third party in to create jealousy and then throw them away.

If it happened once or twice, I would be fine, but why is it that every drama I choose the second lead is always the better option and ends up relegated to the back seat?

I screamed into my pillow angrily after slamming my laptop shut. I curse these scriptwriters to an eternity of writer's block.

After calming down I realised it wasn't even a big deal and I had blown such an insignificant event way out of proportion. I mean it wasn't even real so why am I so stressed?

I chuckled quietly as my eyes fluttered shut and everything went dark.

"Beep... Beep beep, system reboot. Welcome to the SECOND LEAD SAVING SYSTEM." The robotic screaming towards the end of the sentence shocked me awake and I abruptly sat upright.

"What the frick kind of dream is this?" I rubbed my bleary eyes and tried to look around at my surroundings only to find I was blanketed by darkness.

"Host, you have been chosen due to your extreme passion towards second leads shown at 9:45 pm yesterday. Sadly, you died not soon after." The 'system' emotionlessly broke the sad news of my death before moving on. "Your first miss—" He began before being interrupted by me.

"Wait, wait, wait. You can't just carry on like you didn't just announce my death to me. What passion, I calmed down pretty quickly and didn't give a s*** like a minute later." I don't believe for a second that I died but if I did die, I don't trust this robot.

"That is very discriminatory towards robots, but I am not a robot." The system replied with a slightly less robotic voice.

"You aren't fooling me I know how AI is, you'll stab me in the back before I know it... Wait, how the hell did you know that?" I panicked realising this disgusting robot just read my mind.

"Host, how can you call me disgusting?" The robotic voice was completely replaced by a whiny childish voice. "So mean, I don't want such a mean host." He began to sob louder and louder till I was surrounded only by his echoing cries.

"Alright, shut up. How do I wake up from this dream? Kiss kiss in my DNA finale is airing at 2 am, I can't miss it." I brushed his sobs off while trying to pinch myself awake.

"This isn't a dream and I thought host promised to never watch another drama again." He once again glossed over the important matters and changed the topic.

"How do you know that? You dirty AI how long have you been watching me? Pervert did you also watch me change?" I covered my body while glaring in all directions.

"It's just a dream host, ahem I never watched you change." The system immediately backtracked on its previous words and unconvincingly defended itself.

"Dirty perverted bas**** AI sc—" A string of curses soon left my mouth as I realised that this AI had evolved further than technology would allow it, it evolved into a pervert.

"Stop host. We don't have much time I have to transport you to your first missi— don't interrupt me." The system silenced me immediately as it saw my mouth open. "Your mission is to save the second lead from spiralling out of control after being rejected by the heroine. After he has been fixed you will be transported to fix another second male lead. There are bonus missions you can do that will let you purchase items from the shop. For example, the Kiss Kiss in my DNA finale is worth 300 tokens, other dramas that you were unable to watch will also be available, and some masterpieces lost to time can be unlocked for more tokens. You've got five seconds to say yes or no, saying no will result in death." The system stated quickly, breathing heavily at the end of his speech.

"What the— stop that countdown— yes!" I answered in a panic realising I would never see the finale of Kiss Kiss in my DNA if I said no at this moment.

"Good host, you'll be transported there... Now!" Before I could get ready or anything, I was pushed into a hole that had suddenly opened up in front of me and then I was falling fast.

"You f******! You AI piece of s***, I'm afraid of heights." I screamed at the top of my lungs as I found myself falling from the sky. The ground was fast approaching, and I squeezed my eyes shut while tears leaked out.

"Host, you can open your eyes." The systems voice sounded inside my head and as I opened my eyes, I made sure to curse him out with everything I had.

"W—where am I?" I asked as I wiped my tears away.

"No time to explain your target is quickly approaching a bad end you need to stop him from meeting the heroine or he'll drown himself." In a daze I walked around trying to find my bearings before slipping on some shoes and running out the door, following the instructions the system was dishing out.
