Shit, Shit, Shitttt!!! I can’t believe I’m going to be late again, omg I’m going to lose my Job today, Mr. Warren warned me if I came in late again he’s was going to fire me, oh God, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth, I’m gonna have to skip the shower this morning, I showered last night so I think I’m good.

Don’t judge me I’m running late and my job is on the line. I wash my mouth out fast and rushed to my closet, good thing I always prepare my work attire from overnight, I put on a red pencil skirt, black blouse and black heels, some deodorant quickly, I ran to the mirror to fix my hair, gosh my hair, I put it back in a bun , it’ll have to do, I grab my bag, my phone and keys and rush out, gotta catch the bus.

I ran to the bus stop, thank God I only had to wait 5 minutes. I check the time on my phone its 8:15 deep breath, calm down. Please God by some miracle please let me be early.

No way! Where did this traffic came from, theres’s no way I’m going to reach work early, well it was good while it lasted, 5 years at Warren Sales limited.

When you’re young, you tell yourself that by the time you turn 30 you’d have an amazing job, married, have a kid or 2 or at least have one on the way but I think we all know by now life doesn’t always work out the way you wanted it to or the way you wished it would be, Not here on a bus late for work and praying to God you don’t get fired today. Isn’t life a bitch.

9:00 AM Finally at work, maybe if I try to sneak to my desk, by some miracle Mr. warren won’t see me or his bitch of a henchwoman Leslie, the whole office knew she was sleeping with him, uh I know you shouldn’t hate people but man she made it hard to like her.

The office only has 2 floors so maybe I can do this,” Morning Sharon” I said to the receptionist.

“Morning Livy, he just got in 5 Minutes ago”

I’m Dead, “Ok, thanks Sharon, where’s Leslie?”

“She’s in the breakroom, hurry to your desk before she sees you”

“Ok, bye, wish me luck”

I ran up the stairs to get to my desk before Mr. Warren or Leslie notices me, maybe this will work out after all, i might live to work another day, I need this Job, I have bills to pay, I will start waking up earlier and take this Job more seriously.

“Ms. Mead in my Office Now!"

Damn, I slowly turned around and see Mr. Warren angry red face, he looked piss, well this was it.

“Yes Sir”

I Walk to his office behind him, the whole office was looking at me, I see Leslie in the corner smirking, what I wouldn’t give to slap it off her face, the door shut snapping me back to reality of my impending doom.

I watch Mr. Warren go to take a seat at his desk, his head in his hand.

Mr. Warren was actually a cool boss, it’s just that somehow I always seem to mess everything up, if I was taking my work more seriously I would not be in this position right now.

“ You know Ms. Mead I don’t understand you, you are a great worker, you have lots of potential but it’s as if you don’t care, I’ve warned you on  many occasion to do better, just show up to work early, I’ve given you chance after chance and still barely any improvement”

“Mr. Warren, I Swear I’ll do better, the traffic was terrible, I tried my best , I really need this job, tomorrow I’ll be the first one at the office, I promise you”

I look at him pleadingly wishing he would change his mind.

“I’m Sorry Ms. Mead, clear out your desk and go.”

I felt like my whole world was crumbling around me, I need this job, I still have my mom medical bills to pay off, she wasn’t out of the woods yet, her medication, hospital fee, without my job, that means no insurance and its already hard with the insurance.

“Ok Sir, I whispered”

I got up with a heavy sigh and walk out of his office, going to my desk to clear it out, didn’t have much to clear out anyway. I packed a few stuff in my box and say goodbye to Amanda, i didn’t really bond with anyone there I was always too busy taking care of my mom, to go to bars on Friday nights with them, I had to spend my money wisely.

“Well, well, well.. I see he finally got rid of you, If you ask me it should’ve happened a long time ago”

I turned around to look at Leslie, with that smug look on her face. Take a deep breath Livy, she’s not worth your time, just take your box and go.

I walked passed her, deciding to be the bigger person today

“ Ok run along home to your momma now”

I stopped in my tracks and turned to face her, Lord I really tried to be civil with this bitch, I walked up to her and Punched her in her nose,

“Don’t you ever call my momma in your mouth”

“Bitch, you’re going to pay for this”

Everyone gathered around looking at her, they were all laughing at her,

“Get back to work everyone” she shouted, just because she was sleeping with Mr.Warren she think she’s the boss. She looked back at me with pure evil.

“I’m going to make you regret ever putting your hands on me”

“Well good luck with that, I don’t work here anymore”

and I walked off feeling good even though I didn’t have a job, doesn’t matter I would’ve given anything to see the look on her face after that punch, I Smiled to myself and exited the building.
