It was a cold and stormy day . A simple family who owned a carbin in the woods were about to experience chaos

" mummy look what I made " a little girl 4years of age called out to her mum who was carrying a basket full of natural herbs " wow it's so pretty know the bird who will leave will love it " she said to her daughter with a smile " okay princess go finish it" she added " okay mummy " the little girl said as she walked away

She looked at her daughter and she weeped softly

Grace Harris was her name she was the welknown herb healer in town married to a carpenter her parents disowned her after being impregnated by a commoner she was destined to marry a king but she didn't want to she never wanted to when her parents found out she was pregnant they tried to get out the pregnancy so she ran away with her now husband

She did go back when her baby girl was born but her parents looked at her with disgust all these 4 years they have been in hiding since her ok parents and the man she was supposed to marry wanted to kill her and her daughter

Crashing in the living room was her husband he was covered with blood with a freshly knife stab to his tousle

" Grace you have to leave now " said john Harris " take sofia and go now " he added he was in so much pain " no, am not living you " she protested against her husband

" here seat " she helped her husband up to a chair " grace listen to me if you dont go now they are going to kill everyone including sofia do you want that go honey I will hold them back for as long as I can okay go" he said with tears in his eyes

" I can't live you" Grace said in tears " your the only person I know ,your the only person I love I cant live you" Grace hugged her husband " please honey do it for Sofia okay okay " he managed to convince his wife

Hiding behind the door was little sofia she was holding her teddy bear and heard everything their eyes all fell on her

Grace started packing up their bags " daddy where are we going " sofia asked innocently

" you and mummy are going on a trip" he said trying to fight the urge of crying he wanted to assure his daughter that everything is okay

" what about you" sofia asked " aren't you going with us " she added which made grace shake and stop a little while

" unfortunately no, daddy has alot of work to do before he lives but I swear as soon as daddy is finished am going to come running to you and your mum okay princess " he said

" okay daddy " sofia shook her head and he place a gentle kiss on her forehead he couldn't believe this could be the last time he would she his daughter he would take her to prom the wouldn't do anything

**** door down ******

The men who were sent from both sides came into the house

" grace take sofia and live now " john said and immediately Grace grabbed sofias hand out the secret door that was under the mat sofia was put first

" now you go " john told his wife " now , grace " he raised his voice alittle never had he done that Grace knew he was doing it because he was afraid immediately as the door to the secret room CB lose with only sofia in the men enter the room sofia could see and hear absolutely everything all the screaming the pleadings and saw a man in all black tall dark black hair with grey eyes slit her dad's s head of his body and ripped out her mummy's heart in front of her own eyes she saw how her parents were murdered she saw absolutely everything and then they left

" Boss what about the girl " one of the men said

" let her be " the grey eyed man said he knew were sofia was hiding but he spared her life the he walked out when they left sofia crawled out of the hiding place her mum had put her into a room covered with blood she looked at everything her parents were dead she was left all alone she called out " mummy, daddy " in tears but they was no response mummy and daddy were gone she suddenly sleep asleep next to in between her parent's bodies holding each of their hands

*********sirens ********

After two days the police found out about the crime it was tipped off by an old lady who had come to by herbs from Grace and saw this

When the police reached the crime scene even the bravest men threw up by the horror that was in front of there eyes seeing a little girl laying between the bodied the chief of police walked up and check if she was still alive and she was

" call the ambulance now " came the order from the chief of police gently carrying the little girl he rapped his police coat around her she was cold barely alive the ambulance reached and she was immediately taken to the hospital

"We are going to need someone to come with her " the paramedic said

And the chief of police went with them and left the order to seize the property and no was allowed in or out

******at the hospital *********

" how is she doctor " Russell the chief if police asked

" she was unconscious for two days her system had shutdown but she's reviving " the doctor said as soon as the doctor left a woman came in it was Russell's wife melanie " oh baby " she hugged her husband

" how is she " melanie asked her husband

" the doctors said she's going to be okay " Russell said " but what sick person with no heart could do such a thing " melanie said " I dont know but he was clearly a professional despite the mess no sign of the killer was found " Russell said looking over at the unconscious girl laying in the hospital bed " poor girl being an orphan at this age is not going to be easy for her " melanie couldn't hold her tears " mummy..... daddy ......" sofia was starting to gain consciousness which made melanie get up from her seat " mummy...." she called out opening her eyes she saw a woman and she hugged her calling her mummy melanie was left dumbfounded " I was so sacred you left me mummy " sofia who apparently had lost her memory said

" left to where exactly , I would never live you princess " melanie hugged sofia back and Russell walked in with some people who appeared to be child service " oh good she's awake " a lady in a black suit said " sweetheart how are u feeling " she asked and sofia turned to melanie then she said " am fine " okay my name is lily what's yours " the nice lady said

" sofia hazel " little Sofia said she was really cute " what a beautiful name what about your parents last name " lily asked again and sofia asked melanie " mummy what my last name " that made Russell choke on his coffee even the ladies were surprised to hear her call melanie mummy

Melanie had to explain to them that sofia had lost her memory so she referred to Russell and me as her parents

" welling that's so you can adopt her so she could officially be your daughter , we can't take her to an orphanage if she thinks your her parents " lily said

" Russell , what do you think " melanie look at her husband

" she a little girl I certainly don't mind " Russell agreed to adopt Sofia

After a few more days in the hospital Sofia was dis charged

" baby are you excited to go home " melanie said she had completely fell in love with Sofia

" yes , mummy okay take a little nap daddy is coming to pick us up later okay " melanie said a placed a kiss on her head " okay mummy " sofia said closing her eyes immediately as she slept melanie couldn't help but admire how beautiful the little girl was she wore a pendent and see look at it and there was a picture of both he parents she could now see were she got her beauty from her parents were gorgeous people smiling she said looking at the picture of Sofia's parents " I promise you both am going to love and care for Sofia as if she was mine and we will make sure your death will be worked on and the killer behind bars" melanie smiled and a tear fell down her face when Russell eneter the room melanie smile and said " she was so excited that she fell a sleep " Russell smiled the two couple were not able to have their own child but God had blessed them with an angel " come let's go " Russell carried sofia and headed out she woke up rubbing her eyes " mummy , daddy " she smiled her smile warmed up both Russell and melanie 's heart " look at whose awake the most beautiful girl in the world " Russell praised her she giggled " how was your nap princess " melanie asked her caressing pretty pink cheeks " every nice" she said with a wide smile reaching her eyes " that good " melanie then hugged her daughter tight and the rest of the ride was in silence

***** car coming to a holt***********************

" we are home " Russell said and could she Sofia's face light up as she said " finally I didn't like the place witha slot of needles " which made the two laugh

" its called a hospital baby " melanie said still laughing Russell and melanie's house was alittle bigger than Sofia's old parent's carbin she was taken to her room and her eyes light up it was a pretty pink painted room with staffed animals all over the bed a doll house " wow is this my room mummy " she asked looking at her mum " yes , do you like it " melanie asked

" No, I don't " sofia said and melanie wandered " I love it " sofia said running to jump on the bed and melanie shook her head she was really stubborn some snacks were brought in and they ate as a family and then Russell said " I have to get back to work " kissing both the Sofia and his wife and left the room

" so you can play in your room or out the back yard okay baby , am going to do some work around the house okay" melanie said and sofie agreed

As sofia was playing a man on a motorcycle kept staring at her who was he was he sent by the same man that killed her parents who was he

She played ball with their dog and the ball went rolling straight to the road she went run for in and as she entered the road she had no idea that there was a speedy truck headed right for her

The man on the motorcycle got off and hurriedly pulled her out of the road before the truck could get her and melanie saw it and came rushing

" sofia oh my God are you okay " she check if she was okay " yes mummy am okay " Sofia replied " what are you doing on the road do you what to give me a heart attack " she looked at her daughter and looked ad the man who saved her he was wearing a helmet with black gloves hes couldn't be identified he was now on his bike ready to live and was stopped by melanie

" thanknyou sir for saving my daughter " and without a word he rode off

" sofia " as she was ready to yell at her she wouldn't she wasn't really cute and no one Could stay mad at her for long " mummy am sorry " sofia apologised " it's okay let's get inside okay " melanie held her hand and headed to the house

****phone call*******

" hello honey "melanie called her husband

" yes honey " Russell answered

" there was Mysterious man on a bike in front of the house he save sofia " melanie said

" saved Sofia from what " Russell asked "sofia was playing on the yard , the ball rolled off so she chased it to the middle of the road and this truck almost ran her over but this man saved her" melanie said

" did you see who the man was " Russell asked

" No, I didn't he was wearing all black with a helmet " melanie said

" but what if" she paused and looked at Sofia who was watching tv and continued " what if he was one of the people who killed her parents " melanie said and Russell couldn't help but agree " your right dont allow Sofia out by her self God knows if he was sent to finish the job" Russell said and quickly changed up the phone

Russell wanted so much to solve this case to bring the culprit down but the job was perfectly done without any mistakes it made his head hurt everytime he thought about it

Sofia had turned eight she was so pretty that made all men crave to have her as a wife she was the kindest girl ever sweet and and amazing sense of humor the man who saved her when she was 4 year was never seen again finally she had a perfect life the life her parents wanted to give her but sadly couldn't

Oh so they thought , event are soon changing little by little her life started change sofia had no idea she would marry the man who killed her parents she was an animal person , novel lover and the smartest girl in school every year she always had first honors she made her parents happy melanie was so happy she adopted her sofia was not adopted to her she was her daughter her biological daughter and wouldn't allow anyone or anything to hurt her she was like a mama bear and Russell loved sofia his little fragile princess he could move the heavens if it was possible for her he he love her so so very much she was the pride of the butler family " will you marry me sofia" a boy in her class proposed to her " Chris what are you saying am too young to get married " sofia said shake her head " but I love you so much I promise I will give you everything you love in this life" chris assured sofia which made Sofia smile softly that melted everyone who was around she put her hand onto Chris's face and caressed his check and said softly and said " chris we ar eight but if we were any older I would definitely married you why do you wait a little longer until then " she then place a kiss on his head and walked a way gracefully chris almost fainted he had a a huge crush on sofia since nursery school " did you she that she kissed me " chris squealed out of happiness
