Still in prison, I was released smoothly after receiving a call from my cousin.

To this day, I still can't figure out how my cousin, who is vaguely remembered in my mind, managed to get me, a lifelong prisoner, out.

Who is she actually?

After I entered prison, my father was so angry that he ended up in the hospital, was diagnosed with a severe liver disease, and showed signs of turning into liver cancer.

At present, my vision is quite blurry, the doctor says it's intermittent blindness, and when my vision will recover depends on fate.

Following the person arranged by my cousin, I came outside my father's ward. I was somewhat nervous, not knowing if my dad would get angry again.

"Dad, I am here..." I took a deep breath and called out to the silhouette leaning on the bed based on the blurry shape.

My father, who had been rather calm, was instantly furious upon seeing me.

"Get out—you good for nothing! I wasted all these years raising you."

Dad, Zhao Ming, slapped me hard across the face. My cheeks burned with pain, but it somehow relieved my heart a little.

"Cough, cough—"

"Dad—are you okay?" Upon hearing dad's cough, laced with pain, I instantly panicked.

"Go away, I don't have a son like you."

Dad was incredibly irritable. He hated evil his whole life and had raised me with so much difficulty. He never expected me to end up in prison. How could he stand it?

"I didn't…" I wanted to explain everything, but I didn't know how to begin when the words came to my lips.

"There are some things I can't quite express, nor am I allowed to. This is a promise I made to my cousin.

Seeing me unable to utter a single word, the last glimmer of hope in my father's eyes also disappeared.

He waved his hand at me, his spirit shattered, and turned to look at the wall.

"Father, I'm sorry. I have my compelling reasons." Gritting my teeth, I turned and left.

Once I stepped out of the hospital, I drew in a deep breath. The cool air filled my lungs, making me feel a little better.

Thinking about the task my cousin asked me to do made me involuntarily chuckle.

A real man was actually asked to father a child for a wealthy man!

This might seem unbelievable if revealed, but such instances aren't lacking in reality.

This employer's requirements were bizarre - the hired individual must either be deaf or blind.

As I happened to be blind, I qualified for the role.

I also understood that they were seeking a deaf or blind individual merely to conceal their shame - the wealthier, the more they care about their reputation.

One of the reasons I accepted was the reward I would receive upon completing the task - three hundred thousand!

Three hundred thousand might not seem a lot to some people, but in my family, it's an astronomical sum.

My father's illness could not be delayed; it must be treated!

But before executing this task for my cousin, I asked her for two people - Songzi and Shitou. They are my most trusted brothers."

My cousin is always efficient and decisive in dealing with matters. In no time, I was brought before my employer.

A faint scent of wild strawberries wafted in the air. I took a slight sniff, recognizing the scent, if I wasn't mistaken, as Gucci's guilty love delight perfume.

This perfume, a fusion of wild strawberries and a whiff of musk, smelled wonderful.

Despite my unclear vision, through the vague silhouette, I guessed that this woman must be of significance.

The woman standing before me was Li Muxue, the employer's wife. She was probably in her mid or late twenties, having fair skin, a curvaceous figure, and was well-kept.

Li Muxue was wearing a red, floor-length dress today. Her long, straight, shapely legs looked stunning. She had on red high heels, giving off a cool demeanor.

At the moment I met her, I felt a chill and disdain emanated from her eyes.

She did not utter a word, scanned my id and then led me into the subdivision.

On the way to Li Muxue's home, I stumbled at least a dozen times. But she observed with cold eyes all along, without the slightest intention of aiding this blind person.

It made sense, after all, she's a celestial beauty, while I'm just an ordinary, pedestrian person.

Finally, we arrived at her home. I wanted to take a seat, but spotting a blurred silhouette of a man in the living room, I had to stand there politely.

On the sofa sat a middle-aged man with a mohican hairstyle, slanting his legs. Ever since I walked in, he had been scrutinizing me.

His slightly squinted eyes felt like they were scraping against my face.

This man, emits such a strong aura of fierceness!

Despite my broad experience, no one I know exudes as powerful an aura as this man.

"Mr. Zhao, I presume? Come in and have a seat."

The man stood up, knowing I couldn't see. He surprisingly took the initiative to help me navigate, saying, "I will be moving out for a while. The house will temporarily be just for the two of you."

I didn't expect him to be so polite, and quickly expressed my thanks by nodding.

The man then turned to Li Muxue, who was coldly sitting off to the side, and whispered, “You only have one month. If you don't get pregnant, we'll divorce.”

Even from where I sat somewhat distant, I could hear the firmness in this man's voice.

"Qian Dongliang, have you lost your mind? Child child, are you blaming me because you can't get me pregnant?" Li Muxue exploded with anger, "You spineless creature, you have the audacity to mention divorce to me?"

Watching the escalating argument between the two, I sat straight and slightly bowed my head. This was definitely not something I could intervene in.

The man's cheek, lined with brawn, twitched as he clenched his teeth and coldly warned, "I am not arguing with you now. This matter has to be settled, no room for discussion."

"What are you afraid of? Afraid he'll see and spread the news?" Li Muxue, noticing the apprehension in the man's expression, disdainfully glanced at me and smirked, "He's blind, he won't see your disgusting face."

"You——" The man slapped Li Muxue fiercely and stormed out the door.

Li Muxue, covering her cheek, sobbed bitterly, heartbroken.

I sat there feeling somewhat uneasy, uncomfortable seeing a woman cry. I slowly stood, rummaging in my pocket for a piece of paper.

Although the term 'surrogacy' isn't polite to either party, we have to face the ensuing days.

Seeing the crumpled paper in front of her, Li Muxue felt an indescribable disgust for me. If not for me, she wouldn't be in this state.

Just as I was lost in my thoughts, she swiftly raised her wrist and forcefully pushed me away.

Caught off guard, I slipped and fell, my head forcefully hitting the marble tea table.

At that moment, a buzzing noise filled my ears and darkness clouded my vision, and I promptly passed out.

In my hazy consciousness, I woke up to the sound of Li Muxue weeping by my side.

"I-I told you it wasn't on purpose," she cried.

"Enough," the man dismissed impatiently, waving his hand. "No matter what, he's blind. If you cause any more trouble, we'll all end up with a headache."

Upon seeing me regaining consciousness, the man immediately expressed concern, asking about my condition and even made a whole spread of dishes to serve me.

I was somewhat astonished by his hospitality.

After eating, he took me to a room on the second floor which had already been prepared for me, then hurriedly left for Li Muxue's room.

Li Muxue's room was right next to mine, and as I sat on the bed, my heart was pounding.

To be honest, this situation was both thrilling and terrifying.

Although I couldn't see Li Muxue's face clearly, her enchanting voice guaranteed her beauty.

However, Li Muxue seemed quite cold and heartless, of which I had some firsthand experience.

As I was lost in my thoughts, a sudden twinge of pain hit my eyes and I groaned, collapsing onto the bed.

The pain persisted for a while, but when I finally managed to open my eyes, I realized I could see the room's interior.

I could actually see again!

I excitedly sit up, almost ready to let out a joyous yell, but remembering that I am in Li Muxue's home, I quickly suppress the thought.

"Li Muxue, oh Li Muxue, I never thought your disgusting actions would actually help me."

Just as I'm contemplating that, my phone rings.

Reaching for it, I see it's a self-destructing voice message from my older cousin.

"Target: Qian Dongliang. Find his USB drive."

After listening, all the messages on my phone disappear.

I initially wanted to tell my cousin about my regained sight, but then thought it might be inappropriate. It's for the better if fewer people know about this matter. This way, I can assure my own safety.

If I remember correctly, isn't Qian Dongliang the boyfriend of Li Muxue?

"What on earth is my cousin up to? On the surface, she asks me to be an artificial inseminator, but covertly instructs me to investigate Qian Dongliang?"

For a while, I cannot comprehend what game my cousin is playing.

Maybe because I am supposed to be blind, neither Li Muxue nor Qian Dongliang are overly cautious around me.

Suddenly remembering, I realize I haven't had any water so far. Thus, I gently push open the door, preparing to go downstairs to get a drink.

"Stop, stop it..."

"Don't worry, just keep quiet. He can't see us anyway..."

"But..."

"Honey, hurry up..."

As my eyesight recovered, I was stunned at the sight, there lay Li Muxue, utterly gorgeous, blushing on the bed.

I knew this woman must be quite beautiful, but I didn't expect her to be so breathtaking.

Her snow-white, silky skin was luminescent under the orange-yellow light, dressed in a black camisole that perfectly displayed her swan-like neck and delicate collarbones.

Her black camisole was hoisted up revealing her elongated legs that could easily rival a model's. Her crystal clear feet were playfully perched on Qian Dongliang's shoulders.

Her body, as flexible as a serpent, moved enticingly on the bed, welcoming the man's attention.

Qian Dongliang had his back to the door, holding something in his hand that buzzed.

Feeling flustered and thirsty, I averted my gaze.

"Ah..."

Li Muxue's moan, unable to be suppressed, grew louder, pushing me to my limit.

"Keep your voice down, don't let him hear it."

"If he hears it, so be it. He can't see us, anyway," panted Li Muxue.
