And suddenly their camp got ripped and two tall and muscular guys with brown hair and blue eyes appeared. Their skin was whiter than usual and their teeth were like wolves. They dragged the boy outside the camp and then bit his neck one by one to suck the blood. The girl saw them and tried to run but couldn’t because one of them went like a flash and stood in front of her. He grabbed her waist and pulled her close to his face. He kissed her softly and then bit her lower lip and started sucking blood. He then stopped and she was about to faint but then he opened his mouth and his vampire's teeth started appearing. He suddenly bit her neck and sucked it until all blood drained out of her body. He then smiled at the other guy and they both ripped the heads of boy and girl together and then disappeared like a flash.

Elizabeth woke up by the alarm and took her head out beneath the blanket. She sat up on the bed and looked outside the window. She smiled and then ran downstairs to the kitchen. Her mom was preparing breakfast and her father was helping her set the table.

“Good morning mom…. good morning dad” – she smiled and then hugged both one by one.

“Good morning sweetheart” – her dad replied while hugging her.

“Are you excited for today?” – her mom asked while putting the plates on the table.

“Much….and I’m leaving for Alice’s place after breakfast” – she replied and grabbed a piece of bread

“Sit and eat” – her dad instructed

She smiled and sat on the chair.

Elizabeth was recently graduated her high school and today was the convocation day of Southdale High.

“Did you decide which college you want to go” – her dad asked

“Not yet Dad…but Alice, Christian, and Kevin are applying for NYU and I’m thinking the same.” – she told him.

“But honey I want you to leave the US and study in London…even I and your mom will go with you.” – he said

“Why are you so unamerican dad? I don’t want to leave my friends” – she giggled

“Honey your father is right…We will celebrate your eighteenth birthday in London for sure.” – her mom said while sitting next to her.

“After a month? Do you want me to leave Southdale that early? Why?” – Elizabeth cried

“Because this town is not safe” – her mom growled

“I don’t have any idea what are you talking about but I love my town and I’m not leaving it permanently.” – she said and stood up

“I’m not hungry and I’m leaving” – she added and ran towards the stairs

“Liza, come back” – her dad screamed but she didn’t listen and ran up the stairs.

She hurriedly ran towards the bathroom to take bath. She took off her clothes and laid inside the bathtub peacefully and closed her eyes but she felt like someone is watching her. She opened her eyes and saw a crow is sitting at the bathroom’s small window.

“Shoo…shoo” – she screamed and waved her hand to get rid of it but he didn’t move.

She quickly cleaned her body and stood up. She grabbed the towel and wrapped it around her body and then ran outside the bathroom. She closed the bathroom door and sighed.

“Honey, Christian is here.” – Elizabeth’s mom screamed.

“Coming mom” – she replied and hurriedly tied her blonde hair into a ponytail and then looked at a necklace that her father gifted her on her seventeenth birthday.

“Elizabeth Young…promise me today, that no matter what happened, you will never take off this from your neck”

her father’s words started ringing in her head. It was a thin silver chain with a small, round, blue crystal locket. She wore it and then combed her hair. She put the hairbrush on the dressing table and went downstairs.

“I will throw a party today at my house.” – Christian chuckled while talking to Elizabeth’s parents.

“And why is that so?” – she interrupted while walking towards the dining table where everyone was sitting.

He smiled and stood up and hugged her.

“Hey” – he murmured

“Hey Christian Cooper--- Looking handsome” – she smiled and deep dimples on her cheeks appeared.

They broke the hug and she smiled at her parents.

“We are leaving Mom…see you in school ---- please don’t be late --- I want to fly my graduation cap in the air --- with you” – she said

“Bye honey” – her mom replied

Elizabeth and Christian went outside and hopped in his jeep. She looked at him and smiled. He smiled back and started the engine.

“You are missing something” – she chuckled

“What” – he replied

She bit her lip and went close to him. She cupped his face and tried to kiss him but he backed off. She left his face and glared at him.

“What’s wrong with you?” – she asked

“I can’t Liza” – he said and lowered his gaze

“Come on Christian you never even tried” – she growled

“I’m a vampire…and we tried so hard to control ourselves not to hurt humans so that we can live peacefully here but you provoke me.” – he smacked at the starring wheel.

“Look at me” – she cupped his face and looked into his eyes

“Your secret is safe with me…I won’t tell anyone” – she added

“Don’t you like me?” – she asked

“I love you Liza but I don’t wanna hurt you” – he replied

“If you love me then you cannot hurt me, I promise” – she convinced

“Liza…You cannot understand us…., we feed ourselves blood and human blood makes us strongest but I and my family are surviving on animals’ blood just to keep spending our lives in Southdale among you guys, The humans. We make peace with you guys but you are my weakness…If I try to come close to you, I smell your blood and I’m scared that what if I turn off my humanity---I might hurt you but I’m learning self-control for you. I need some time.” – he convinced

“Christian…I study everything about Southside’s history about vampires…about werewolves …. even about hybrids …and I believe all of them…. I don’t consider them myths…. They are real and I would love to be a part of it…just because of you…. I’m curious to experience the sensation between you and me. A human and a vampire….” – she deeply replied

“You want to rectify me as your experiment?” – he chuckled

They went inside and met Kevin who was already there. He hugged Elizabeth and Christian.

“Last day in Southdale High” – he chuckled

Elizabeth smiled and nodded her head and side hugged Christian. Meanwhile, Alice came and Hugged Kevin from the back. He held her and turned around and started kissing her. Elizabeth looked at them and then she looked at Christian and he lowered his gaze and sighed.

“They made me more curious” – Elizabeth whispered in Christian’s ear

“Hold on honey” – he replied

“Stop it love birds, Let’s go…. we are getting late” – Elizabeth screamed

“We are not shy like you guys” – Alice teased her.

Elizabeth smacked Christian’s back with anger. He didn’t even move and smiled. He then held her hand and dragged her outside the house. She was about to fall but then she stabled herself.

“Easy” – she screamed

Someone was claiming to be strong a few minutes ago” – he chuckled

The ambulance and police were in the forest. There were two naked dead bodies without a single drop of blood left and their heads are separated from the body. Media was also there but police drew a boundary line for everyone that they couldn’t come inside. The postmortem team was collecting the evidence. Like the clothes of the victims and the ripped camp and all other stuff. They couldn’t find the footprints. The sheriff was disappointedly looking at the river.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking Dr. James?” – Sheriff Steele said

Dr. James nodded his head while looking at the bodies that workers were putting into the ambulance.

“Call the Coopers” – Sheriff Steele ordered one of his officers.
