I opened my eyes when I felt my thighs aching and my whole body is shaking. I looked beside me and he was gone already. I can't remember how many times we did it, maybe that's the reason why I am in this pain. He didn’t even wake me up or ask me for breakfast. It’s always been like this, but this side of him is what I love the most. I stood up and wear my clothes when I smell something in the kitchen. I wonder what Linda is cooking? I yawned as I walked through the kitchen and to my surprise, it wasn’t Linda.

“Maverick.” I softly said as I gave him a warm smile. He’s wearing an apron without his shirt on. I smirked as I walked towards him. “It is unusual to see you cooking.”

“Linda is out for a vacation. I have no choice,” he said while flipping the eggs.

I laughed as I hugged him from behind. His back is so wide and his shoulder is so broad. I can smell the hint of cigarette from his body and his imperial majesty cologne. I can’t get enough of him even if he’s always by my side. It got me thinking how do we end up like this? We never saw eye to eye before and I hate him with all my heart.

“What do you think you’re doing? Let go, I will prepare our breakfast.” I removed my hands on him as I watched him put all the plates on the table. I feel like my head is floating and I can’t seem to focus. I looked at him in the eye and said, “Why are you like that?”

He looked at me with a frown, he slightly strikes my forehead with a finger and said, “What are you talking about early in the morning?”

I sigh as I held my forehead, “You are not sweet, you use brute force and always look at me like I am an idiot.” I pouted while playing with the spoon and fork. We’ve been together ever since but he never once told me his feelings. He is always calm and collected, even if I try to fluster him. I wonder if he really loves me or he just sees me as an object. That brings back memories.

“I know what you are thinking,” he said as he removes his apron, revealing his wonderful abs. He walked towards me and held my cheeks. “I may not be the romantic type of person, but my love is not something that can be shown by words or material things.” He slowly leans on me and gave me a passionate kiss. I looked at him and his eyes were close. Without saying any words as I love you, these kisses made me realize how much he loves me. “Do not think of the past and just focus on our future.” I slowly closed my eyes as I kiss him back. He held my waist and pull me close to him. I can feel the heat of his body to mine for he is not wearing anything from the top. My heart is racing and my body is shaking from excitement. We have been doing this for a long time, but I can’t get used to this. It always feels like the first time.

“How about breakfast?” I said in between our kisses. I was catching my breath as I felt him smirk. “We are already eating our breakfast,” he said in a sexy voice. I flinched when he started kissing my neck down to my bosom. I can feel his warm, big hands groping me behind. I laughed when I realize where this is going.

“Hey, sexy. Let us stop here.” I whispered to his ear as I gently pushed him away from me. I know that if we go any further, I won’t be able to stop him. He gave me a smirk before kissing me again. “I am really hungry.” He looked at me before pulling away from the kiss. “Alright, I will let you eat first then you will give me my dessert.” He winked at me before walking away. I laughed as I stare at him. I looked at my food while thinking about how we ended up being like this. As someone with an unfortunate fate, I am blessed to have someone like him in my life. I guess every cloud has a silver lining after all.
