Kelsey

I woke up on my 18th birthday, filled with excitement and anticipation. Not only was it a milestone in my life, but it also marked the one-year anniversary of my relationship with Blake, the future Alpha of the Crimson Pack. The thought of spending the day with him made my heart race with joy.

My family and friends had been busy organizing a grand 18th birthday party for me, a celebration of my coming of age. The venue was beautifully decorated, with twinkling fairy lights and colorful balloons adorning every corner. The tables were adorned with elegant floral arrangements, adding a touch of sophistication to the atmosphere.

The guests began to arrive, dressed in their finest attire. Laughter and chatter filled the air as everyone mingled and enjoyed the party. The delicious aroma of the feast being prepared wafted through the room, teasing our appetites.

"Happy birthday, Kelsey," Blake arrived, looking like a charming prince. I had spent years secretly crushing on Blake. In fact, every girl in Crimson Pack spent years crushing on Blake. Girls threw themselves at his disposal, it took one flash of those crystal blue eyes to make any girl instantly wet. He was two years older than I was with the body of a Greek God and a smile that lit up the world.

We kissed, and before we take a dance, he muttered, "There's something I need to tell you." His voice was a mix of excitement and nervousness.

"What is it, Blake?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.

Blake led me to my bedroom. Then, he took a deep breath, his eyes locking with mine. "Kelsey, I've always known that we were meant to be together. And today, I discovered something that confirms it. You are my mate, Kelsey. We are destined to be together."

My breath caught in my throat as his words sank in. Mate? The realization hit me like a bolt of lightning. This was more than just love; it was a connection that ran deeper than anything I had ever known.

In that moment, it was as if everything around me faded away. All I could see, all I could feel, was Blake standing before me, his eyes filled with an intensity that mirrored my own.

A surge of warmth spread through my veins, igniting a fire within me. It was as if a missing piece of my soul had finally been found. The bond between us was undeniable, a magnetic force that drew us together.

Tears of joy welled up in my eyes as I threw my arms around Blake, holding him tight. "Oh, Blake! I can't believe it! I've always felt this unexplainable bond between us, but now it all makes sense. I'm so incredibly happy!"

Blake smiled, his eyes filled with love and adoration. "I feel the same way, Kelsey."

We embraced for a moment, savoring the intensity of our newfound bond. The world around us seemed to fade away as we reveled in the joy of our connection. As our lips met in a passionate kiss, a surge of desire coursed through my veins. I could feel the heat between us, the electricity that sparked with every touch.

We shared one passionate and intense moment after another, leaving me breathless. It was as if time stood still as he explored every inch of my body, igniting a fire within me that burned brighter than ever before. I was lost in a whirlwind of pleasure and desire, completely consumed by the love I felt for him.

Afterwards, still basking in the afterglow of our lovemaking, Blake suggested we take a walk to the dock. My heart fluttered with excitement, thinking he had something special planned for us. I held his hand tightly, feeling a sense of security and belonging despite the lingering doubts in my mind.

As we reached the familiar dock, the moonlight reflecting off the water, I looked at Blake with anticipation, expecting him to surprise me with something magical. But instead, his expression turned cold, and a sinking feeling settled in the pit of my stomach.

"What is it, Blake?" I asked, not knowing why he showed that complicated expression.

Blake's voice was devoid of emotion as he spoke, his words cutting through me like a knife. "Kelsey, I can no longer continue this relationship. I'm no longer in love with you."

My heart shattered into a million pieces, the pain radiating through every fiber of my being. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The man I thought was my soulmate, the one who had just made love to me so passionately, was now rejecting me with such callousness.

I stared at him, my eyes filled with disbelief and hurt. "What... what are you saying, Blake? We just shared something so intimate, and now you're breaking up with me?"

He looked at me, his gaze distant and detached. "Kelsey, you were nothing more than a pastime for me. I enjoyed our time together, but I need someone worthy enough to stand by my side as I become the Alpha of the Crimson Pack. You're not that person."

His words hit me like a tidal wave, leaving me gasping for air. I felt my heart crumble, the pain overwhelming and suffocating.

Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to find my voice. "How... how could you do this to me, Blake? I loved you with all of my heart, and you just throw me away like I meant nothing to you."

He looked away, unable to meet my gaze. "I'm sorry, Kelsey. I never meant to hurt you, but this is for the best. You deserve someone who can give you everything you need, someone who can be the Alpha you deserve."

I stood there, my body trembling with a mix of anger and sorrow. How could he be so heartless? How could he take something so beautiful and turn it into a painful memory?

My heart shattered into a million pieces. The guy I thought was my soulmate had just ripped my heart out and stomped on it.

I turned away from him, unable to bear the pain any longer.

Tears streamed down my face as I ran, away from the waterfront, away from him, and away from the shattered dreams that lay behind me...
