In the dark living room, only the sound of the storm could be heard. Cristina was sitting on the sofa with her knees hugged, looking at the picture of her husband naked at his sister-in-law's house on the phone screen. Her face was pale, her lips were trembling, and her fingers were clutching tightly. The phone, as if only in this way, could she make herself faint without pain.

She knew her husband didn't love her because their marriage was just a deal, her family needed money, and his family needed an heir. On the first night of marriage, Allen coldly told her not to try to get anything other than money.

He swore he would never fall in love with her.

Cristina knew that Allen had a crush on his sister-in-law just because he couldn't betray his brother, he never did anything deviant, until today, his sister-in-law came back from abroad and his brother died because of a disaster.

Cristina knew she should let go, three years of marriage, Allen's indifferent attitude did not extinguish her enthusiasm for him, however, she could not bear the betrayal. She sent Allen a message, and just like that, she started staring at the clock.

She wasn't sure if Allen would pay attention to her. Especially around Wilma.

Cristina knew she had to act. Before she suffocated from heartache, she went upstairs and started packing things. She didn't have much, none of the things here belonged to her, only her own clothes, and she dragged the suitcase down the stairs.

Suddenly, the door was violently pushed open from the outside.

Allen glanced at the box at her feet, and his deep eyes immediately became cold. "Christina Winslet! What the hell are you doing?"

"Divorce? Do you think your behavior can scare me? Do you think I will be reluctant to let you go and keep you?"

"I tell you, it's impossible, never possible!"

Allen's cold words hit her coldly like a rainstorm outside.

Allen tried to make her expression look less sad, but she couldn't. When she spoke, tears still welled up in her eyes. She had 10,000 words to accuse Allen of injustice to her, but when she touched his emotionless eyes, her throat seemed to be tightly pinched by a pair of big hands, and she couldn't make a sound.

She told herself that she couldn't do this anymore, because even though her painful expression was in front of Allen, she could only find the word bored on his face. Just like countless times before, even if she went to the hospital seriously ill and wanted to get Allen's help, Allen would only tell her coldly that he was not a doctor.

Cristina wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with the back of her hand. She took out the divorce agreement she had prepared a long time ago, swallowed all the words into her stomach, and looked at him calmly. "This is the divorce agreement I made with a lawyer. I didn't ask for anything. You can take a look. If you are dissatisfied with the contract, you can find my lawyer."

Allen didn't take that divorce settlement, his lips pursed into a straight line, and his eyes burned, yes, his chest was full of anger at this point, and he thought his self-esteem was hurt.

In his relationship with Cristina, he can only take the initiative. He never thought that Cristina would file for divorce. He thought this was Cristina's new trick to get his attention. She must have realized that her ingratiation no longer worked for him. But he will not tolerate her behavior.

"Divorce?" Allen sneered. "Have you really decided?"

"Yes." Allen looked up, his tone as firm as when he fell in love with him.

"Okay, very good, then you will lose the qualification to come back here forever after leaving this door."

"Come back?" Cristina whispered to herself. The pain of having her heart torn apart and being cast aside was an experience she never wanted to relive.

Cristina closed her eyes, firm in her resolve. "Don't worry, I won't come back. Even if it means going to hell, I won't set foot in here!"

With her eyes open once more, she clenched her teeth and walked away without a backward glance. Allen stood frozen in place, his gaze fixed on the closed door, a chilling coldness enveloping his eyes.

Outside the door.

Cristina slipped painfully behind the door, with an examination report in her hand, the real reason for her divorce, the doctor's follow-up opinion.

She had no ability to get pregnant. She didn't want to wait until Allen found out and then drive her away. That would be too cruel to her. Her only value to Allen was her womb.

Until the end, she still wanted to show her perfection in front of him.

Cristina braced herself again and walked into the torrential rain.
