Q City, Standard Virtue Hospital.

That night, when Rina Cullen rushed to the floor of her department, she was startled by the scene in front of her office.

The otherwise spacious corridor was packed with dozens of stalwart men.

Seriously looking, they were wearing black suit and sunglasses as if prepared for a big crisis.

The nurses and doctors on duty were much relieved to meet Rina approaching, complaining, "Doctor Cullen, we are impatient for your arrival."

Rina nodded to her colleagues as a gesture of reassurance, and demanded those guards to wait outside to keep order.

After that, Rina directly walked into her office.

However, the mess before her was a big surprise.

Potted flowers, medical cases, pens, paper, cups and other sundries were in a mess.

Tea and coffee were splashed over the ground.

Only the little sofa was spared.

A child was sitting over there, back to her.

It was apparent that the child was the reason for the messy scene.

The sudden impulse told Rina to give the child a lesson.

However, in deference to those impressive guards outside, she tried to approach the naughty in a soft manner, "Little guy, what is your name? Are you feeling ill?"

The child turned his head slowly.

Rina was drawn by the boy's delicate and sweet face.

A strange affinity prevailed over her anger.

The little boy looked at her innocently and silently.

A pair of eyes was glistening with luster like two crystal grapes.

Rina checked the little boy in front of her, who clenched his fist against the abdomen.

Rina put on a smile, "Sweety, I cannot judge your ailment if you do not give me some hint."

She still smiled to the boy, hinting at his reply.

The boy fixed his eyes on her.

The silence was killing.

As Rina was nearly turned off, the boy point to the abdomen with his plump hand.

Rina purposely pressed his abdomen through the clothes, and inquired about his condition, "Is your belly hurt?"

The boy nodded to confirm her diagnosis.

Rina immediately picked him up over the bed for further checkup.

The boy was too startled by the move to utter a word.

The sweet and delicate face turned expressionless.

The steward peered over what was going on inside, and was surprised by his young master being tamed by Rina.

The boy was close to none other than his dad.

Although he took good care of the boy for five years, he dared not hold him in arms.

A brand new Maserati came to a stop in the spacious parking lot. The steward hurried up to greet the owner, "Young master."

A handsome man with impeccable dress got off the car.

The shut lips revealed his displeasure.

Yake Austin asked in cold tone, "How is my little boy, Charlie Austin?"

"He is asleep in Doctor Cullen's office." The steward was wishy—washy.

"Doctor Cullen?" Yake was a bit uneasy, in a hurry to the office.

"She is managed to pacify Charlie and is not been rejected." The steward was anxious to allay his master's suspicion.

Yake frowned, hurried up to find out what was going on the spot.

The steward led him to the Rina's office.

On the office floor, Yake made a gesture to tell the steward to wait outside.

The steward complied.

From the open door, Yake clearly saw what happened inside,

and then he stupefied.

Charlie and Rina were asleep, with two heads leaning against each other.

Charlie snuggled up to Rina, betraying no slightest fear.

Yake was a bit surprised while beholding Rina's face.

Rina seldom slept deeply. Sensing someone in front of her, she woke with a start.

She was dumbfounded when seeing Yake clearly.

She blinked and found Yake still stood there.

She had heard of Yake, not from media,

but form her colleagues. They gossiped about Yake Austin, and deify him.

His name rang a bell.

Born in a notable family, Yake was the most influential and wealthy figure in Q City.

Charlie was disturbed to wake up with sleepy eyes.

Seeing none other than Yake, the boy naturally stretched out plump arms to welcome him.

Yake affectionately held him in arms and expressed his concern, "Are you better?"

Charlie nodded gently and leaned close to Yake's neck.

Yake patted his back, in an affectionate gesture.

He eyed Rina's face piercingly and profoundly.

Rina regained her composure and suggested, "It is too late to make a prescription since our pharmacists are off work. You had better take your child back home to monitor the condition. If the indisposition persists, come to take some medicine."

Yake nodded in a cold manner.

After that, he left the spot point blank.

Rina was rendered humiliated, with growing displeasure.

"How could he be so arrogant, though wealthy?"

Rina seethed with anger.

She turned off light before leaving. Back home, she went to sleep, taking her mind off the encounter.

The following day.

When it came off duty in the afternoon, Rina was wanted on the phone.

Rina picked up the receiver.

"This is Rina of Standard Virtue Hospital."

But no voice was heard.

Rina became confused, and was about to hang off.

At the moment, a rat—a—tat was heard.

Rina paused for a moment and listened up.

Gentle breathing of a child was heard.

Rina immediately pictured the boy, and asked in a gentle tone, "Is it the boy that visited me last night?"

A rat—a—tat was heard again.

"Are you feeling ill now?"

A rat—a—tat persisted.

Rina almost lost all hopes at the prospect of Yake, the all—powerful man, fathering the little boy.

"Ok, you are in good health. But do not lose it; otherwise you will visit me frequently."

A rat—a—tat haunted the call.
