“Hey, dad? My classmate also has a book that was written by grandpa. But I wonder why there isn’t anything like this on the back of his book?” Yves asked as he pointed at the quote written on the last page of the book.

“I have no idea. Can you read it for me?”

"Walk a path that no one will foresee. Leave us unaware of a future you might hold. Never allow anyone to stop you from what you aspire to be." Yves said while looking at the book. At a young age, he does not seem to understand what it means, but while he is growing up, he understood what was his grandfather’s trying to convey.

Those were the words of Henrik Legazpi, a famous novelist back in the 1890s. He sold almost 18 million copies of his famous work titled “Wings of a child.” The quote was specially written for his grandson. Those words made a massive change in the life of Yves Conrad.

“I guess father wrote it for you.” Avi pats his head and smiles. “You are special to him, maybe he wants to tell you something?”

“I think so,” he replied.

Avi taps his back and said, "You don't need to think much about it. You are going to be either a painter or an artist when you grow up. So, you better stop thinking about being something else. Your future is already decided by us."

"But why is that? I don't want to be a painter or an artist. I wanted to be like grandpa!" Yves shouted while hitting his father's back.

Yves didn’t have a chance to meet his grandfather for he died when he was just a baby. Yves's parents were known for their famous paintings and drawings. They are well known all over the country as one of the best painters and artists.

Avi laughed as he held Yves's hand with brute force. "I said, you're future is already decided! You are not allowed to choose anything else. It is either you live to continue our legacy or you can stop breathing right now."

Scared of his father's words, Yves decided to stop talking and quietly accept his faith. But as he grows older he understood the meaning of his grandfather's words. Despite the pressure of being the only son of Nova and Avi Conrad, he decided to pursue his dreams and become a successful novelist like his grandfather.
