"I have agreed to get married to Marcus Gold! To ensure that he does not stop funding the James Group. By so doing, I paid off all the debts you incurred in raising me!"She said and walked towards the kitchen to get another cup of water. She turned around and went upstairs without a moment's hesitation, as if she had just signed a contract at random.

Hurriedly, Nina walked towards the table where she dropped the pen and carefully checked what Maria had written, fearing that she was just talking.

Late at night, she was taken to the family house of the Gold's where she waited patiently for his arrival. A while later, the lights illuminated the room while she opened her eyes only to see a bald creature right in front of her. What the hell? Was this really a man? He was more damaged than she thought.

He had a lot of scars at both sides of his face that made him look like a monster. She could also see that an arm was longer than the other and he couldn't even stand so well.

"You... Mr..."Maria was so stunned by the suddenness of everything that happened that she was incoherent.

Was this the person she would spend the rest of her life with? She thought in fear as she looked at the ugly looking monster in front of her. Tears trickled her face the more.

"Are you scared of me? Didn't you agree to be my wife?"She heard the man say. She thought that she would die from fear as she shivered.

Seeing that the man had moved a bit away from her, she looked around trying to escape. In the end, she pushed him away without looking back.

"Go away!"She yelled.

Running towards the corridor panting, she knocked her head on the acquarium and hurt her foot on the nearest glass pot which made her scream.

"Ah!"She limped and ran off without looking back...

"Hahaha. Look how scared she is! Hahahaha!"Someone said and laughed so harder as he took off his mask and sat on the bed, staring at the door with a smile on his face. It was a young kid who was about four years.

"Just her? Want to be my mother? No way!"He said and walked out of the room into the study. Seeing his brother who looked just like him reading, he smiled and walked towards him.

"I did it again!"

"Hmm..."The other kid said softly while he frowned.

"Don't you think that grandpa is really taking this too far? We don't need a mother but he wants daddy to get married! I'm never going to let that happen!"

"Hmm..."He said and continued to read while he looked at him, frowning again.

Unlike the other kid that her scared Maria away,The boy had the look of an adult. Silent and calm.

"Hmph, I won't talk to you."The boy who had wanted to seek praise soon gave up after getting no response. He had long since become familiar with this brother's indifference. So he turned to look for his father.

He went to the door of his father's den and shouted,
