OMG! OMG! OMG! We are late! We are totally going to miss the train!

I tried to ignore my sisters ecstatic voice behind me, as I forced my legs to keep running, lugging the two heavy suitcases behind me with both hands.

It must have been a scene, considering that people were actually stopping in their tracks to point and laugh at us.

Ugh!

I cant wait for the train to leave the station! Cherry, my sister, began singing behind me.

How the heck was she even able to breathe, let alone sing, while running like our life depended on it? I, myself, felt like I was going to die soon, with the way my lungs were burning.

If that wouldnt do the job, then, I was sure that the amount of times my hair had slapped my face by the force of the wind, was going to kill me anyway.

Suddenly, my train of thoughts Came to a halt when I spotted the train.

Oh my God! Yes!

Yay! I am not dying today! I turned around and stuck out my tongue at Cherry. We are going to catch the train!

Big mistake.

The next I knew, I was letting out a shriek, shutting my eyes instinctively, as my body collided with someone who was coming from the opposite direction. Within seconds, I was on my behind, along with my two suitcases.

Okay, I am not going to lie; I was expecting to see the white light after death, upon opening my eyes.

But, what I got instead was my sisters eyes peering into mine, with amusement.

Wow, Juliet, I see, you brought along your best friend, clumsiness, with you, she snorted.

I groaned and sat up, rubbing my head, Hey! It was not my fault! Someone collided with me. I looked around for the sign of the said someone, only to see that he was getting on the train, without a care in the world.

Ooh, that blue t-shirt guy? Cherry laughed, He actually walked away from here like he had only kicked a pebble on his way.

Wowpeople these days...

Hey! Do you wanna get on the train or not? Cherry exclaimed suddenly. Its about to leave in um, she glanced at her watch, two minutes.

Damn! I quickly got up to my feet, and dusted off my hands. Then, I pulled the suitcases to the door of the train. All of this, I did, while my sister stood thereblowing at her nails.

Care to help? I glared at her.

She made a face, Ew. You are the elder one here. Do the work or I will call mom, she smirked, I will go and look for our seats.

With that she disappeared inside the train, leaving me on the platform. She always used the elder card with me even though she was only seventeen, a year younger than me. and, dont even get me started on the mom card.

I took deep breaths to control my rage, making a mental note to deal with Cherry after successfully boarding the train.

I was just wondering how a girl like me-who had never even picked up a bucket of water in life without falling face first multiple times-was going to get two heavy suitcases on a train, which was about to leave the station soon, when, a girl appeared on my other side, carrying a big bag on her shoulder.

Looks like you could use some help, she commented, eyeing my luggage.

I smiled sheepishly at her, Umyeah

She chuckled, Come on, we can do it together. And, she bent down to pick up one suitcase.

She actually lifted it but, soondropped it.

Damn! These are heavy, her eyes widened, what is in there?

I sighed, Dont even askI dont know what my mom and sister packed in there. I am not allowed to look until I reach my dorm.

The girl raised an eyebrow, Hminteresting, then, she eyed the suitcase again, its heavy, but, nothing that I cant handle.

Huh?

She braced herself, Onetwothree and then, lifted the suitcase again and within a second it was on the floor of the train.

Wow

She leaned against the train, huffing, See? Theres nothing that Kris Noodles Mendes cant handle.

Is that your name? I asked her in awe.

She nodded and was about to open her mouth, when a guy appeared at the door, with two bags, one on each shoulder and two suitcases, one in each hand.

My eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Hulk much?

The guy took in the scene before him, glanced at the girl, called Kris then, rolled his eyes and without saying a word, he dropped all his luggage inside the train, then, proceeded to pick mine and dropped it in too.

There, he dusted off his hands, now, get in, before the train leaves.

Alexander the great! Kris scolded the guy, who told you do that? I was doing just fine without you!

Is that his name? I blurted in wonder again.

The guy shook his head, while Kris laughed, Yes, yes, it is!

Wowpeople kept exotic names these daysor was it that they were kidding me?

I jumped in fright when I heard the announcement about the train leaving. I quickly thanked Kris and Alexander or whatever their names wereand got on the train.

Yes! Phase one: getting on the train with the luggage, was successful!

I almost groaned when I realized what the next phase was

***

No! I exclaimed, after measuring the distance between the floor and the overhead bin.

Phase two: getting the luggage inside the bin, would surely kill me if phase one hadnt already.

I wished my dad was here to help menot!

I had to do this myself and prove to my parents that I was capable of being independent and living without any kind of help from them. Even if that meant tolerating my brat of a sister, and lifting heavy suitcases!

I braced myself like that Kris girl had done earlier and counted to three before channeling all my energy to lift up the luggage.

And, you know what?

I did it! I actually did it! I didnt just move it, I was able to raise it up in the air and had almost completed my phase two.

Keyword: almost.

Some guy decided it would be funny to shove me to the side just when I was on my path of being successful. The handle slipped from my hands and the suitcase fell on my foot.

Ouch would be a subtle reaction in this case

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I shrieked like a maniac and fell on my butt again, clutching my bruised foot.

Meanwhile, the culprit, the guy responsible for this didnt even blink an eye.

You know why?

Because he was the same blue t-shirt idiot who had bumped into me on the platform and then, brushed me off.

Hey! You! Come back here! I yelled at his receding back, How dare you? This is twice in a day! You are going to pay for my foot-

My courageous rant was cut short when he turned around, because

First things first, he was hot. Period.

What? I am a girl, okay? I notice such things

Second, he was angry. No period, because it looked like he was planning to take it out on me.

But, see, heres the thingI am smart, and I know how not to get myself killed. So, I immediately changed my strategy when he pinned me with an intimidating look, daring me to continue.

I continued, of course, but, it was not directed at himpoor floor beCame my victim.

How dare you, huh? Why do always make me fall? I am going to let you go this last time since you are broke, but, from the next time, if you decide that it would be nice to make Juliet fall, make sure you bring compensation for the damages.

Someone kill me.

I was yelling at a floor, in front of a hot guy, who most probably wanted to kill me too.

I slowly raised my head to look at him, and let out a nervous laugh. He was regarding me very coolly with his arms crossed across his chest, leaning against the train wall, like he had all the time in the worldlike he was used to seeing this kind of behavior

Just leave already, dude, before I embarrass myself further.

Instead of saying that, I smiled, through a wince, as I felt pain shoot up from my foot. Hey, there. Can you help me stand up?

He didnt answer, didnt move.

Okay

No? Okay, then! No problem! I waved my hands, laughing, It was nice knowing you. See ya! not. I didnt want to see him again and relive this humiliating experience.

The guy didnt even budge from his position. Great!

Omg! Juliet! Why are you sitting on the floor? I heard Cherrys voice behind me, come, gummy, we have reserved seats, you dont have to travel like this.

And, here comes the Cherry on the top, to enrich my humiliation.

Cherry then, paused to take in the whole scenariomy bruised foot, two fallen suitcases and my helpless self, and her mouth formed an o in understanding.

I thought she would laugh, but, surprisingly, she didnt. Instead, her features contorted into that of rage, Who did this? Who hurt my sister?

Awmy little sister!

You did this, didnt you? she fumed at the blue t-shirt guy and marched up to him with clenched fists.

Yes! Go Cherry! I am proud of you!

My pride was short lived when I watched her features slowly change and she grinned at the guy, taking in his hand for a shake.

If you did this, then, I already love you. You can be my best friend and we can bully my gummy, clumsy sister together.

I take my aw back

I actually felt bad for the guy whose eyebrows had now knitted in a frown as his sharp, calculating gaze flickered between me and my sister.

He was totally contemplating our mental health.

At last, he made the right choice and straightened up, turned around and started walking away.

I groaned in annoyance, irritation and pain, I swear, I am not clumsy, its idiots like him that make me fall and then, label it as clumsiness. One day-

My words died in my throat and I gulped when I saw the blue t shirt guy turning around and making his way back to us.

Uh ohdid he hear me? I think he did

I couldnt tell because he hadnt lost the nerve-racking expression, but, what I could tell was that I thought I had gone bezonkers when he bent down, easily lifted up my luggage and placed them securely in the overhead bin.

Then, he turned around and walked away, againthis time not turning back.

Dont feel too happy, gummy, Cherry burst my bubble, he left you to wallow on the floor. Hahaha!

The sad thing wasshe had a point.

A/N: Oof, I dont know how this chapter isfirst ones are always the toughest to write. Anyway, have you guys recognized the blue t shirt guy?
