The war took place in the outskirts of Indiana, where two great packs share the same boundary.

Kleo wolfpack led by Alpha Rish and Sahara wolfpack led by Alpha Neo.

After three days of bloodshed and massacre, the war later ended with Rish having Neo at his mercy, trapped under his blood tasty claws.

"How foolish of you to think you could win this battle!?." Rish roared at Neo

"You know me Rish, I'm not scared of death. But as old friends, I ask that you grant me one wish." Neo whispered under his breath

"What do you wish for?." Rish asked

"Spare my family." Neo said.

"Hahaha. You know, I didn't plan on leaving a single stone unturned in your pack. But you are right, for old times sake. I will spare just one, so decide quickly." Rish said

"Fair enough. Spare my youngest daughter." Neo said with a fainting voice, his eye balls bulging out.

"But you have a son, why do you choose your youngest daughter?." Rish asked out of curiosity.

Normally an alpha would want an heir to succeed his reign.

"She is too young to face such judgment." Neo replied promptly.

"Hmmm. Very well then, i will spare her life." Rish acknowledged with a nod.

The remaining warriors of Sahara pack surrendered to Kleo pack immediately their Alpha fell on his knees, they knew it was over.

Arriving at Sahara Pack, Rish made Neo watch as he drove his claws into the bellies of his wife and two sons, leaving the youngest daughter in tears.

Then lastly, Rish kills Neo with absolute pleasure in his eyes before walking up to the little girl crying bitterly.

"Little one, stop crying. Very soon you will understand why this things happen. Cheer up." Rish smiled at the little girl trembling in fear and asked one of his warrior to carry her.

Alpha Rish had no interest in making any bargain but Neo was a friend and has asked him to spare his youngest daughter, he couldn't have refused.

After the war, Alpha Rish claimed the pack he defeated and extended the walls of his own pack. Making Kleo one of the largest and most feared Pack in the states.

CLEVELAND, OHIO.

Present day

About 8:20 am. Athena tiptoed into her son's room when he was still sleeping and slowly let down the blanket covering his face.

"Rise and shine!. Happy birthday son." Athena pecks Richard on his cheek, causing him to stir slightly.

A blissful smile appeared on Richard's face when he caught a glimpse of his mother holding a wrapped up gift.

"Mom!. Thank you so much."

"You're welcome."

"Honestly i wasn't expecting this." Richard smiled at his mother and embraced her warmly.

"I know dear, that's why it's a surprise. Freshen up, I still have one more surprise for you." Athena said

"Wow, what is it?."

"You will see. Just open your gift and see what's inside, then come down stairs for the main surprise."

Athena opened the door and left in a hurry.

Immediately Athena left the room, Richard unwrapped the box and found an unusual gift.

"Wow, what could this be?." Richard became curious and quickly tear off the wraps.

In the box was lying a red glittering trinket wrapped in some white sheet.

Even though trinkets are of little value, Richard received it wholeheartedly. Then after taking a shower and dressing up, he clipped the trinket around his neck as he walked out of his room.

Richard came to the living room wearing a bright smile. He could see a big cake on the dining table and balloons decorations.

"Mom, when did you have time to do all this?." Richard marveled.

"It's no big deal really, I just had to wake up earlier than usual." Athena replied

"This is beautiful, I love it." Richard chuckles.

The day went by. Richard received many gifts from his best friends and classmates who came also.

The next morning, Richard stretches out in bed before getting dressed. He went straight to the dinning table already served with fried eggs and pancakes for breakfast.

"Good morning Mom."

"Morning love. How was your night?."

"It was nice. Thanks for yesterday."

"Come on, it's nothing. Hope you liked the gift?."

"Yeah it's awesome. You know red is my favorite color." Richard smiled

"I'm glad you liked it."

Along the line, they were both silent and Richard could sense something was wrong.

"Mom, are you okay?. You haven't even touched your food yet." Richard asked worriedly.

"Yeah I'm fine. Umm, It's just that I have something very important to tell you and I don't want you to hate me for it." Athena sighs deeply.

Richard kept staring at his mother with a confused look "Hate you, why on earth would I do that?."

"I-it's not that simple Richard." Athena said nervously.

"Okay mom, just tell me. Whatever it is."

"I-I lied to you about your father, he is not dead. I'm sorry Richard."

Athena reaches out to hold her son's hands but Richard being overwhelmed by her sudden outburst pulled away and stood up.

"Don't touch me!. You told me he's dead, you even showed me his grave!. What the hell are you not telling me Mom!?."

"Please forgive me Richard, I had no choice."

Athena continued pleading but Richard wasn't buying it.

"For God sake Mom, I'm seventeen!. You lied to me my whole life, and you say you had no choice!."

As if Richard is possessed by a demon, he shatters the dining table by simply touching it. He couldn't believe it himself.

"Richard. They won't accept you, please you have to listen to me." Athena continues.

"So you can lie to me again?." Richard retorted.

"No, I'm not lying to you, I swear. The trinket I gave to you was given to me by your father but then, I was scared so I left."

"Why?." Richard asked

"He was not the kind of man I wished to marry so I-I ran away. Only when I came to Ohio, I realize I was already pregnant." Athena explains in tears.

After a long period of critical thinking, even though the things Athena said were unpleasant, Richard already made up his mind.

"I want to meet him." Richard firmly said.

"Richard, I don't think that's a good idea." Athena replied.

"You can't deprive me of the right to know who my father is. If you won't take me to him, I will go find him myself."

"Alright, fine. I will take you to him."

Athena left Kleo wolfpack many years ago because she hated the man she was forced to marry and now she has to go back because of her son.

Her greatest fear is that Richard will be rejected, he is too weak to be called "SON OF THE GREAT ALPHA RISH!."
