"H-harder Daddy!" Delphine moaned, her voice low and raspy from screaming obscenities all night.

The man on top of her obliged without a beat of hesitation.

Luca Fortelli… the guy she'd been sleeping with for the better part of the last year and quite apparently the supplier of the best sex she'd ever had in her life. Delphine was by no means a prude or limited in her sexual experiences. Heck, at one point in her college years she'd juggled between a slew of ten men to get her desires fulfilled. But Luca Fortelli? By every deity out there, the man was in an entirely different league when it came to pleasure.

Her train of thought was quickly derailed when Luca thrust into her warm tightness particularly hard. A surprised squeal left her lips as a jolt of electricity ran up her spine.

Luca smirked lazily at her and she met his gaze with a flustered smile.

"You like that?" his voice was low and gravelly as he whispered right into her ear.

"Y-yeah." She whimpered, too sensitive to even speak properly.

Luca growled in response.

"Good. My dirty, dirty baby girl."

His thrusts began to get faster, more harried, but he still managed to hit that spot in her again and again without fail.

Her phone buzzed in her pocket, the contact name ‘Addy <3' flashing in bright letters. Delphine felt a smile bloom on her face as she swiped to accept her best friend's call.

"Heya." She greeted.

"DELPHIEEE!!!" An excited voice squealed back in reply.

Delphine winced lightly and held the phone slightly away from her ear. How had she forgotten just how high-pitched Addy could get when she was excited?

"Thanks Addy." She said in a deadpan voice. "My right eardrum will never recover. Why'd you call?"

"So mean, Delphie!" Addy's voice had a decided pout to it, making Delphine snicker lightly. "Anyway! I have something exciting to share, so of course, being the lovely person that I am, I wanted my bestest friend in the entire world to know first."

The woman on the other end of the phone call was gushing with excitement.

"Oookay, tell me what it is then." Delphine said in a teasing tone.

"I'm coming back!"

Oh. That WAS news to Delphine, she smiled wide, body filling with warmth as she thought of seeing her best friend after literal years apart, save for rushed vacations.

"-And..."

Oh. Adalicia still had more to say. Delphine listened attentively.

"This time, I've decided. I'm sick of dilly-dallying. Being abroad gave me a lot of perspective and…"

Adalicia's voice trailed off in hesitation.

"And?" Delphine prompted softly. She heard the other woman suck in a deep breath before continuing.

"And… I realised… that the one I've always loved… was Luca. And I'm going to tell him that when I get back, I want us to be a couple again."

A jolt ran up Delphine's spine and she sat up straighter. Her words void of all emotions, replied to Adalicia.

"That's a great idea, Addy. I'll always support you, you know that."

Luca Fortelli… what could she say about Luca Fortelli? Luca Fortelli was a lot of things, hotshot lawyer, possibly the sexiest guy in town and…her best friend's ex. And there she was, for the last year, getting the best sex of her life, from her best friend's ex-boyfriend.

Delphine dropped her head into her hands and groaned.

This would not do at all. Her relationship with Addy was way more important than… whatever she had going on with Luca. She was going to end things and end them fast before they became too complicated.

There was absolutely no way in hell that she was going to jeopardize the relationship she had with Addy for something as silly as sex with Luca. It was going to be easy: meet Luca, break it off and then tell him to not tell Addy a word of what they had done together.

Back in the day, Luca and Adalicia had been the city's power couple. Everyone had thought they were going to get married and at one point Delphine even began picking out her dress to be Addy's Maid of Honour.

But then Addy had gotten her dream job 5000 miles away and Luca had gotten his acceptance into the Bar. Things had been tense for a while, but Addy had been the one to cut the cord and break up with Luca a day before she hopped on her flight and left.

And Luca? He was devastated.

He couldn't stand the thought of not being by Addy's side anymore. Delphine had never seen a man break down as fast as Luca did, seeing it was truly a tragedy.

At that time, she tried to be there for both of them, and since Luca and her were in the same city, she found herself spending more and more time hanging out with him. Until one night, during a drunken stupor they had begun making out ferociously.

And that had been the catalyst for their current working arrangement: just sex no feelings.
