Viona's pov

I saw my girl playing in the compound. With her very long brown hair,hazel eyes and pink lips,she looked so adorable.It is her birthday of eighteen years and the more I think about it,I really get stressed because I just want her to live a normal life and I don't have much time left.

I don't want her to die just like her father who always wanted to be a good Snake who fought for people but still killed by people

As I was in deep thought,I had a voice from my back.i turned to see who it was and got shoked.It was a woman with white hair,dark lips and a very thin shaped figure.

Overseer,I said.You can never take my daughter because I don't want her to live miserably fighting for these worthless people like her father George.

You can never change fate,she said.She was born to fight for the people against the witches.

You will never take my daughter,I said not controlling my tears.

Look,you are about to die,she said.She can't run away from fate. *NEVER*

I began feeling dizzy that's when I had my daughter asking whether I was fine.I never wanted her to get worried that's when I realized that I had a teardrop from my eyes. I knew she knew I wasn't fine.I took her to the kitchen and showed her a tiny box and I told her not to open it until midnight.I saw a teardrop dropping from her eyes.You remember my birthday,she asked me.

Of course my daughter I can never forget your birthday,I said. I have also prepared your favourite dishes.

She finally smiled.

Anna's pov

I woke up very early since it was my birthday.I checked my mother but she was asleep.I went outside to see the bright sun.As I was moving,Isaw a big pink butterfly that I began chasing after it that's when I saw my mother coming downstairs and the butterfly crossed my face and I chased after it again.I could feel my mother's eyes at me but I never minded about her because she always stares at me like that as if I have grown so much.

Ouch!!I shouted as I saw a thorn had entered my foot.I looked down to remove the thorn but the pain was too much to bare.I chopped out the thorn and turned back to see my mother but as looked at her,she seemed like she was talking to someone.She looked like she was arguing with someone imaginary.I looked at my foot but I couldn't feel any sort of pain.I looked again at my foot but couldn't see any trace of the wound.I never took it as an issue so I looked again at my mother but she looked sort of dizzy and confused so I ran to her and asked her whether she was fine.

I am fine she said as a teardrop came down here cheek.I knew she wasn't fine.That's when she grabbed my hand and took me to the kitchen and she showed me a tiny box.

Open it at midnight,she said

I couldn't control my tears as I asked her whether she managed to remember my birthday.

Of course I can never forget your birthday,she said.

I made you your favourite dishes.she said.

I was really happy that I ate all of the food .I saw my mother was in a lot of thoughts. I really had to know what's going on because I even saw her previously swallowing medicines

What's wrong mother I really need to know.

I have cancer and am going to die soon but I just want you to be a good person even when I am dead. I just want you to know that I love you so much my dear.she said.

My birthday became the HAPPY SAD DAY.

You should not be worried dear I have sold this house and here is the money to help you in future when I am not here.she said

She went to the kitchen to prepare some water for me to bathe. Iran to her and told her I will handle it on my own.
