The car has been driving for more than thirty minutes NOW, and if I'm to be sincere, then I will have to say how tiring this feels.

"Dad! Where are you even taking me to, and why do I have a bad feeling about this?'' Elora Jameson asks her dad.

"See child! I want to be very frank with you right now because being sincere is all that matters in this situation". William Jameson, who is Elora's father, said with a calm voice towards his daughter.

"Dad! I don't get it!. You are making me feel nervous right now, what's that you are hiding under your sleeves?". Elora asks with a cornered voice.

"I made a promise to my best friend. It's not like a promise...... we can just put it as a business proposal. He offered that he's going to help me out in my business since it's already bankrupt". Mr. Williams said before pausing, as he observed his daughter's expression.

"Dad! please go straight to the point Dad!. And I need to be in the company, so please.......... I'm Damn freaking out!". Elora said as her voice reflected how panicked she's.

"Okay!. Remember the last time I came to your office but you were very busy?". Mr. William asked.

"Was it the time you said I should sign a document that entails I follow you to your best friend's house to have dinner unless you will have to suspend me from going to the company for a whole week?". Elora asked because that incident was just so funny.

Mr. William came to her office and gave her a document to sign. Elora was so busy that day that she couldn't get the chance to read the document, nor did she even have the chance to walk her dad out of the company, as she pleaded with Jeffery, her secretary, to walk her Dad home.

Mr. William insisted that Elora signed the document before leaving, so she hurriedly took the document from his hands and Immediately signed it, before handing it back to him.

"You are good at remembering things. You do take after me". Mr. William said, smiling as he caressed his daughter's cheeks.

"Thanks, Dad". Elora said.

"So why do you have to bring about the topic now? Do you want me to have dinner with your best friend today?". Elora asked.

"No!. About that...... the document is well! look at the document?". Her father said and handed over a document to her.

Elora opens the brown envelope and brings out the folded piece of paper.

She opens the piece of paper and silently reads what the paper entails.

"No Dad! this is all a misunderstanding right?. Or just tell me that you are kidding and I will believe you, even though the joke isn't funny". Elora said as she tried to force a smile on her face.

It was a document entailing that she's married, and her signature made way for everything because it was boldly signed In the document, while beside her signature lies the signature of a man........ which perhaps might be her husband.

"Please stop the car". Mr. William said, sounding more like a command.

The driver suddenly stopped the car in front of a big mighty black gate.

There was a big dragon at each side of the gate, which was used as a means of design.

"Elora!. You have to listen to your father. Beside....... I know what's best for you". Mr. William said as he pats his daughter's shoulder.

"How can you proudly say that you know what's best for me? Do I look like a business entity or a gift that you just give to someone?". Elora asked while raising her voice.

"Dad! I'm sorry for raising my voice, but what do you think marriage is? When you get married to Mom, is it because you are the only one who can help her parents because they are bankrupt?". Elora asked as she tried to calm herself down.

"Yes! The reason I married your Mom is that she's the daughter of my mother's best friend, and at that time ........ my parents were the only ones who could help them out". Mr. William said.

"So you are now using me to compare yourself right!". Elora asked as she looked after her father with disgusted eyes.

"No! see along the line, I and your mother got to understand each other and finally fell in love. My parents force me to marry her because they believe she's going to make a good daughter-in-law, and because I don't have any feelings towards any sex, I decided to accept their proposal, believing that I will remain like that forever. But your mother changes me. She made me fall in love, and can't you see how we are both living our lives". My dad asked, raising his brows.

"Dad! I believe in true love and not love after marriage. What if he forces me to sleep with him? Or what if he maltreats me. What do you think I would do then?". Elora asked.

"Dad! I know I should try to be more understanding because you are currently going through a lot right now. But this is marriage, and it's not something to play with". Elora said while frowning.

"I know....... but I promise to file a divorce once I am back to business. Don't worry! it won't take up to a month, so you just have to believe me". Mr. Williams said as he tried to convince his daughter.

Staring at her father's coffee brown eyes, she inhales loudly because she has to trust her dad in his words.

Even though it's a marriage contract, she just accepted it because this is the only way to help her father.

"Alright dad! I'm counting on your words". Elora said as she climbed down from the car.

"Trust me okay!". Her father said as he signals the driver to carry all Elora's belongings which were inside the booth down.

Inhaling one last time, she tugs her office trouser feeling nervous as she turns around to look at her dad one last time because he was already waving his hands as his car slowly took off.

"Elora Jameson! the battle is all yours". She said before opening the small gate.
