It was a now 11 pm . I was walking upstairs to the CEO's office . The sound of my boots disrupted the sound of the miserable rain outside. In just a few more minutes I'd be in the office. I was in no hurry do get it over with fast. Finally I opened the door and stepped in . Towards the far end of the room was glass widows over looking the city in the night . The view was not so good mostly because of the mist and partly due the fresh blood splash that stained the window. The CEO was dead at any rate thank God I got my pay before this. "So I killed your target?" A male voice asked. The footsteps got closer and closer and finally walked in front of me and sat on the table . "It doesn't matter. I got my pay " I said. Elijah looked at me cryptically. "Where were you for 2 years?" He asked. "Busy " I said walking up to the window. "Alessa You are lying to me" he said . He seemed to be getting angry. "Do I ever ask you what you are doing with your life?" I asked. "No but its not going to stop me from finding out about yours. " he said angry. "Get a life" I said walking towards the door. "Just tell me if you are fine and I'll let it go for now" he said emotionless. "Perfectly fine " I smiled sarcastically and walked out.

He followed me. Elijah got alittle taller and he seemed different at any rate he was trouble . "Dont you have anything better to do?" I asked . "Not until you tell me the truth" he demanded. "I got nothing to say" I said. "Fine then I'll just follow you" he said coldly. I was starving so I stopped at a pizza restaurant. "Hello and Welcome to Pizza palace,may I take your order ?" She said smiling at me . She clearly had an eye for Elijah and in my guess she was probably eye raping him. "We'll have a plain cheese Pizza with 1 chocolate chip milkshake and 1 coke " I said. She looked at me envious and nodded with a fake smile.

We took our seat near the window and I got lost in a train of thought "Alessa" he said emotionless. "Hm?" I asked. "You look different " he said. "Am I more ugly now ?" I asked. "Who ever told you that?" He asked coldly. "People Don't need to say it for me to know its true" I said. "I didn't ever take you as the insecure type" he said. A waiter arrived and placed our food in front of us. "Is there anything else you need?" She asked Elijah ."No " he said coldly. The girl was shocked and left. "She was just doing her job " I said rolling my eyes."Your still to innocent to understand " he said. I didn't even want to know what he meant. "And just so you know ,your not ugly " he said sipping his coke. "So your saying I beautiful?" I asked. That caught him off guard and his pale cheeks turned light pink. "Yes you are" he said trying to act cool. A laugh escaped my lips . "Is Eli blushing?" I asked him smirking . His cheeks turned bright red "its all in your head " he said coldly rolling his eyes. "What ever you say" I shrugged.

I took a bit of my pizza. "Elijah ? Who is the chain user?" I asked. He chewed his food and looked at me with his huge eyes. "I understand now ... you were looking for your brother" he said emotionless. "Answer me " I demanded. "I can't,I took an oath not to tell" he said. I frowned . There goes my appetite."Dont go all out his powerful" Elijah said. "I have no intention in fighting him" I said. "Then why?" He asked. " I just want to know why he did what he did" I said. I felt his glare on me. " your being creepy " I said. He didn't shift his glare. " eat something " he ordered me. I shot him a death glare. "Im not hungry" I said. "Alessa" he said annoyed. "I can take care of myself" I smiled annoyed. "Is that what your doing?" He asked clearly pissed. "Why cant you just let me be?" I asked getting up. "Your to innocent and fragile even though your an assassin. " He said coldly. "That you for your meaninglessness opinion " I said walking out.He was still the most arrogant person I've met— Mr.Blake my foot.

I walked back to my hotel room . I needed to soak in a bubble right now more than anything. I ran the bath and stripped and sat in . It was relaxing and soothing.

It was a scorching hot day and in the distance of the tar road seemed like a mirage. I placed my head on Elijah's shoulder for support. His short dark hair brushed lightly my cheeks. I took in his scent and for some reason it calmed me down. "We'll be there soon Alessa" Siva smiled. I nodded. He was always kind to me and had been like my father. His wife loved playing the role of my mother and in my guess it was because she had no daughters. I only stayed in their estate for a year even so they still welcomed me like I was family. It was my decision to leave and they respected it. I could tell that Elijah hated it yet he was emotionless as always.

We were now in a city near the ocean . It was huge and very lively and finally Siva pulled in front of a hotel. He got out of the car and we followed him. "Do you really want this?" Elijah asked. I nodded. "His my brother and I need to give him a chance" I smiled bravely. "Okay but if he or anyone else tries to hurt you let me know" he said emotionless. "Oki Elii" I smiled. His cheeks turned light pink but soon returned normal. "Alessa "Siva took my hand ."this is your brother...Alec Lucifer" he said . I let go of his hand and looked up to the older boy. He was as handsome as Elijah and had shoulder lenght hair and black eyes he wore a band around his head."Hello Alessa " he smiled. "Are you hurt big brother ?" I asked. He smiled surprised "why ever do you ask that?" He asked me. "Your head band" I pointed out. He laughed. "Its just for fun " he smiled. I could tell now that he's a good big brother.

Siva and Elijah was saying their good byes to big brother. "Please visit us soon Alessa " he smiled. I nodded as I held big brothers hand. Eli was leaving without saying goodbye. "Eli wait " I called. He stopped walking and turned around. "This is for you—I made it because you love manipulation and needles are a sign of manipulation in black magic stories" I smiled. He looked at me and said"we'll meet soon Don't worry ". My brother held my shoulders as we watched them leave."I can tell your fond of him " He smiled. I nodded " I trust him alot" I smiled. He smiled and went down on one knee."I promise that I will always protect you and keep you happy and safe " he said. "But I need you to also promise me something " he said. I nodded."you see I'm part of Crimson and we are also a family and just like a family we have rules. I want you to also live by the rules but also I want you to promise me that you will never join Crimson . I want you to live your own life and not take in my footsteps because you feel like you have to" He said."I promise big brother " I hugged him and he hugged me back. "Your always be happy and safe with me" he whispered.

Elijah wont tell me . I know that much for sure . How depressing... I got out of the bath and wrapped a fluffy white bathrobe around me. As I entered the room I saw Elijah sleeping on the bed with marshmallows,chocolates, and a takeout packet besides him. He was twirling a needle around his long pale fingers. "Elijah?" I asked. "Yes?" He asked. "Why are you here?" I frowned. He sat up on the bed and looked at me head to toe. "Stop eye raping me" I said embarrassed. "Eye raping?" He asked slightly amused. "Shut up " I muttered. "Go get dressed " he said . I grabbed a set of pjs and changed quickly. He was back to sleeping on the bed. "Dont you have anyone to kill or something ?" I asked as I sat next to him . "No " he said. "Elijah please leave Im tired " I admitted. "No" he said coldly. "Elijah " I said annoyed. "Not leaving" he said . This boy is getting on my nerves. I sat on his chest with my legs on either side of him and pinned him down by placing my hands on his shoulders. He was speechless,his huge eyes looked at me as if looking into my soul. Perfect! "Eli you look so tired,you should go home and rest" I said using my magic . He nodded just as my body felt weak. I blinked a few times ..."Thank you Eli you can —" I fell on top of him . I had no energy or strength left . I just needed to sleep. He snapped out of it and back to his own free will. I was breathing heavy close to his right ears with no strength to move. "This is what I was trying to tell you " he said.

He carried me and placed me under the covers. He sat besides me emotionless and tried to feed me. "Just 3 bites and I'll leave and let you rest" he said. I nodded and ate as he fed me. I ended up eating half of the burger to please him. "You need to take better care of yourself" he said. I placed my head on his shoulder "Eli I just want my big brother back" I said. He was silent for sometime then he hugged me . "Soon " he said.
