"I would spare no one if I can't find my bracelet!" Lyla yelled, causing a ruckus over her bracelet. She had always been good at that, causing a mountain out of a molehill.

Mae held her bracelet tightly in her hand, she was in her room and she knew that Lyla wasn't far from her room. Scared, she hid her treasure in a small wooden box shoving it under her pillow. The heirloom was given to her by her late mother and there was no way she would lose it to Lyla, she wouldn't! That bracelet was the only thing left to her by her mother before she left her alone, the only thing reminding her of her goal.

Not bothering to knock on the door, Lyla and Luna Delilah broke into Mae's room with a group of werewolves behind them.

"You lowly maid, you stole me jewelry." Lyla accused Mae without batting an eye. She never liked her, she had always hated Mae. The annoying maid had always gotten on her nerves and she would make her pay for it.

"I didn't!" Mae defended.

"And you think I would believe your lies?!" Retorted Lyla with a smirk on her face. She would make sure this good-for-nothing maid is put in her place. "Search through every corner of this room, we are not leaving here until I find it!" She ordered, with an evil grin on her face.

Mae stood still, she had no idea what to do. She knew Lyla was up to no good but she was a lowly maid after all and no one would listen to her.

The werewolves searched through Mae's room, but they were still not able to find Lyla's bracelet. Lyla couldn't control her anger and she was losing her mind, she wouldn't allow this lowly maid to win.

"You all are just useless! I'll search for it myself" her eyes were beaming with anger. She searched Mae's room once again, scattering her belongings when her eyes fell on the small wooden box Mae had hidden. She opened the box, and her lips curled into a smirk looking at the trinket that was inside the wooden box. Mae was just a maid, she shouldn't have something as beautiful as that.

Mae's eyes grew in shock when she saw the wooden box in Lyla's hand. The smirk on her face was enough to tell her what she was up to.

"That...that belongs to me!"

"It belongs to me from now on. " Lyla retorted. With the way Mae was behaving, she was certain that this piece of jewelry meant a lot to her and she was going to make her suffer for always being rude to her.

Mae turned to Luna Delilah, she fell to the ground and pleaded; "Please Luna, that bracelet belonged to my mother, that's the only thing I have of her. Please!" Her eyes were welled up with tears, she had lost so many things and that heirloom was the only thing that kept her moving all these years. That was the only thing she had left and she wasn't ready to lose it, she certainly couldn't.

"You should get used to not having the trinket with you now, it now belongs to Lyla and that's it," said Luna Delilah.

"But..."

"You dare to interrupt Luna?" Lyla interrupted, adding fuel to the fire. She knew how much her mother loved to show how powerful she was, and she was going to use that to her advantage. "Mother, she must be punished, we don't want those low class servants thinking they could talk back"

"That's not.."

"Keep shut!" Delilah yelled with anger. She glared at Mae, who now had her head bowed. "Be on your knees for the next 24 hours, that's the punishment for questioning my order," she snarled and walked out of the room with the werewolves.

"Ahh," Lyla chuckled, she squatted down in front of Mia, and whispered in her ear, with a smirk on her face. "The next time you think you can go against my orders then trust me, you'll pay greatly for it...Mae." she laughed once more and walked out of Mae's room, leaving her alone, dejected.

Mae closed her eyes, her knuckles were fisted tightly, trying to control the tears in her eyes from falling. The following day was her birthday and she couldn't help but think back to her past. A place she wished she could get stuck in forever. It all felt like yesterday, the fight that ruined hers and her family's life completely.

Her father, Henry James and her mother, Aileen James were the Alpha and Luna of the Sunshine Pack. She also had an elder brother, Alan James. Thinking about her past, she couldn't control her tears. Just like in the past, they came flowing down. She had lived past it all, she told herself to stay strong, but her heart hurt so badly. She missed her family, all of them.

She was seven when her mother died of an acute disease, that was when her doom started. But then her father's Beta, Beta Alex and a few other traitors rebelled against her father and.. killed him.

Her elder brother, Alan took her away from the fight to keep her safe, but it seems the heavens were against them, and they were separated. She searched for her brother, went through every pack to look for him, but she couldn't. She lost her mother, her father and also her only brother that day.

Left with no choice, she joined the Grey Cloud Pack as a slave, without revealing her identity. She was alone and she couldn't trust anyone.

She had one goal and that was to get revenge. She decided to be stronger and powerful enough to make them pay for ruling her family. She had to make them pay for taking every single thing away from her, they destroyed her and her family and she was going to make sure she destroyed every single one of them.
