Katherine's point of view

　　I was the one who did not want to live, and she was the one who lived her life to the fullest, I will live for her everything I do now is for her. lucy looks at me with her light blue eyes “Katherine, honey I’m so sorry about grams.” I look down, I cannot be sad anymore I had a month to grief she would not want this. Finally, I look up lucy still looking at me “do you want to leave with me, leave Blue Springs find somewhere better open up a bakery?” lucy looks away for half a minute "yes of course I want to leave this hell hole." I smile as I think of those days when we used to plan on how to get out of this place. lucy snaps her finger, "kat" she snaps me out of my darkness "yes luce?" " I must pack my bags, when are we leaving, and where are we going?" " well New York is a place, grams always wanted me and her to go to together." She looks away " okay bet." Her phone goes off again "okay kat I love you, bye!" She pulls me into her tight bear hugs " love you too luce be safe and be ready to leave in two or three days." I shout as she runs out the door. I run to the fridge to grab a tub of cookie dough, I run back to the couch and turn on criminal minds. "Lifes going to get better it has too." I say aloud to no one. As I watched a few episodes and ate the cookie dough, I fell into a deep sleep. When I woke up, I saw I had four miss calls from lucy and some emails from the school, as I start reading, I see that they are trying to expel me from their personal classes, so I decided to just quit them since I am leaving anyway. I get up and throw away my binge eating snack from last night, turning off tv and walked into the bedroom, down the hall from the living room. Getting dressed in my last day outfit, I call up lucy as it rings, I grab my keys and my wallet. After three or four rings I hear her familiar voice “hey girl do you want to come say goodbye to my oh so amazing family?” “yes, I'm on my way I wanted to say I was coming over; I didn’t want to come over unannounced.” “okay kat hurry up.” I hang up and start driving over to lucy's house it is not that far since the town is considered small and country. I walk up to the house before I can even knock or ring the doorbell, lucy throws the door open, and she squeals from excited. “hey girly ready to say goodbye to your family?” she looks down “no I'm worried they’ll be mad at me and won't let me go.” “oh, honey calm down, we don’t know what they will say for all we know they would be happy and send us off today.” “They also can't keep you here against your will, your 24 now!” As soon as I finish my sentence lucy's mom comes to the door with the biggest smile on her face “hello kat it's great to see you again, honey why don’t you bring her inside.” lucy looks at her and says, “gather the family in the dean we need to have a family meeting.” Ms. Scott looks at her then looks at me “okay darling I'll tell everyone to get in there, but you know how your brother is so hurry up.”
